Predator, Stope Packs Book 4, is my favourite of the bunch thus far. I loved Emily Nightstrom even before she took centre stage, and apparently the same goes for Jackson Tryne’s Granite Pack. So, although Emily arrives at Granite territory to play matchmaker for their Alpha, the entire pack isn’t buying her “I’m not Alpha mate material” line for even a split second. The way they welcome her is adorable, like a wolf puppy who won’t let go of its favourite stuffy. The Granites are steadfast and endearing in their quest to make Emily one of the family.
Emily divides her time vetting other alpha females to date Jackson, trying to find out what’s making herself sick, and posturing about her Alpha-in-waiting status within her father’s Slate Pack. The latter is necessitated by her scuzzy cousin’s designs on grabbing power within Slate, with or without Phillip Nightstrom’s blessing. It keeps the girl busy.
“𝙃𝙚 𝙬𝙖𝙨 𝙖 𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙙𝙖𝙩𝙤𝙧, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙝𝙚 𝙠𝙞𝙨𝙨𝙚𝙙 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚 𝙤𝙣𝙚.”
Jackson is delectably sexy, protective, and patient. He plays along with the matchmaking, but uses the dates as opportunities to make new alliances that benefits both sides, quietly building a stronger and larger Granite Pack. His challenges are keeping up with the dates while actually wooing Emily, protecting Emily from kidnappers, and preventing sabotage of his mines. He’s busy, too.
Rebecca Zanetti crafts another humourous, sexy, and suspenseful romance filled with shifters who look hot in both forms and don’t mind being naked in either one. Where is she hiding the recipe for the secret sauce that turns out the perfect dish each time?
