Wicked banter, kitchen witches, and hot men in kilts make this friends-to-lovers modern day Scottish fairytale a romping good time.
I draw the line at serving people grasshoppers for dinner. As luck would have it, on the same day I quit my job as head chef at Suzette’s, a fine-dining restaurant in Boston, I was offered an opportunity to open a restaurant at a castle in Scotland. But now that I’m here in Loren Brae, I’m not so sure this city girl can hack it.
The nights are too quiet–with no horns honking or insults being hurled–and everyone knows my business. And on the first day of my new life? I meet the hottest man I’d ever seen before. Munroe Curaigh. Owner of Common Gin, a dedicated nerd, innately shy, with the biggest golden retriever energy of any man I’d ever met.
He immediately appoints himself my protector and I’d be annoyed if his kisses weren’t so wickedly hot. Still waters run deep, and all that. Speaking of still waters…it appears that Loch Mirren is haunted by murderous Kelpies and the people of Loren Brae need my help.
That’s right. It turns out that I’m descended from a long line of Kitchen Witches and Loren Brae needs me, Lia, a chef from Boston, to help save them from an ancient curse. So what’s a girl to do?
It’s time to sharpen my kitchen knife, pull out my recipe book of spells, and get to work–or this tiny village in Scotland that I’m quickly falling in love with will be in danger. That is, if I can come up for air from Munroe’s decadent kisses.

3.25 ⭐️ I cringed every single time the FMC said “my lady parts.” But the MMC is Scottish, the greenest of green flags imaginable, and he owns a gin distillery, so it evened things out.
I read this book pretty quickly, I loved the introduction of the brownie and more of Clive, I desperately want to read more cozy Scottish romantasy like this!
Had to listen to the graphic audio to get my Scottish fix. I almost dnf in the 2nd chapter, it was so ridiculous. It got better, and has more depth than the first book. Typical silly romance, but as a big foodie and gin enthusiast, I enjoyed the restaurant and gin business in the story line. And I had a few laughs at the Scottish banter.
Wow, another amazing story in this series and I absolutely cannot get enough of the graphic audio is it such an experience! Another sassy American coming to Scotland for a fresh start /fill a roll in the order but this time her Scottish man is a shy gin making nerd! Munroe was amazing with Lia- sweet, protective, supportive. He’s definitely my new favourite! Lia was strong, definitely had the sass and I loved her journey of coming into her power!
Just like the first book, this was so funny, a little emotional at times, mysterious, a little spicy and full of magic and I couldn’t get enough of it!!
Finally figured out why this series doesn’t do it for me. There is no adversary. No adversity. Nothing to defeat or overcome. Everyone is happy and content and perfect. And for some reason there is a tap dancing ghost cow. It makes no sense If this book hasn’t been narrated by Stewart Crank, I’m sure I wouldn’t have bothered to finish it. He is the sole reason I gave it an extra star.
I loved this book but if you know me, you know my love for mythical side characters and Bryce the Brunie was everything. The second in a series where The Order of Caledonia is being assembled. The graphic audio was perfect.
Tricia O’Malley knocked it out of the park with *Wild Scottish Love*! This book is packed with everything I love—romance, adventure, and a touch of magic. From the moment I started reading, I felt like I was right there in the Scottish Highlands, surrounded by all that stunning beauty. The way O’Malley describes the setting made it so easy to picture everything—it felt like I was walking through the misty hills myself.
The characters in this story are so real and relatable. The main character’s journey really pulled me in, and the chemistry between her and the love interest was just perfect. It’s the kind of romance that makes you smile, laugh, and maybe even tear up a little.
Graphic Audio makes the books feel like movies in your mind. With full-cast voices, sound effects, and music, the story comes to life in a way that pulls you in and keeps you hooked. The cast did a wonderful job in Wild Scottish Love and I will continue to purchase other graphic audiobooks and the series when they become available!! They are so much fun!
If you’re into stories that are all about love, self-discovery, and gorgeous scenery, *Wild Scottish Love* is the perfect pick. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy and feel-good read. Tricia O’Malley really knows how to write a story that sticks with you.
