C Phillips E Wilde Dare Crossover Series bks 01 04

Bachelors Auction

Unsurprisingly, I found more reasons to like these authors. The series was good, the stories were related but varied enough that I wasn't bored, and I may have added a new book boyfriend or two to my collection. 😘❤️‍🔥

It was great seeing bits and pieces of the Kingston / Dare families along the way. No prior reading was required, but there were a few minor spoilers.

The cast of narrators are, in no particular order, Alex Knox, Isabelle Turner, Lee Samuels, Connor Crais, Angelina Rocca, John Lane, and Samantha Cook. I've enjoyed most of these narrators before but liked getting to listen to some new ones, too. One thing I really loved was that each book had a different set of voices, which made it easy to binge the entire series. Angelina was in two of the books but with different male counterparts, so it still felt different.

Here are my individual reviews for each book. Happy reading! 📚💋

Just a Little Hookup 🌟🌟🌟🌟 .5 - Embracing Her Curves

C Phillips E Wilde Dare Crossover bk 01 Just a Little Hookup

Derek Bettencourt and Jessica Cavanaugh are fantastic! I love how Jessica owns her curves, even when she's inwardly self-conscious, and I love how she helps other women do the same. She could be a spoiled little rich girl, but she puts herself out there fabulously.

I love how she confronts Claire! It takes courage, especially with the audience she has. She's the kind of woman I'd like to be friends with.

“I’m not going to stoop to her level and get into a bidding war over a man.”

What did they say about famous last words?

-- Jessica Cavanaugh

As for Derek, I love that he owns his mistakes and has his priorities straight. He's a stand up guy and easy to like.

As for their parents... well, they suck... rotten lemons. 🍋😖 They each come from parents who don't understand the meaning of the word with their belittling and controlling ways. To the curb! That's where I think they should be kicked.

I read along with the audio book. The narrators are Connor Crais and Samantha Cook, and they are great choices for these characters. While duet narration would've been ideal, I really like both voice actors. 🎧🩷🎧

Just a Little Secret 🌟🌟🌟🌟 .5 - Auction Block

Drew Daniels and Georgia Brooks have spectacular chemistry from moment one, and it only gets better as the book goes on. They have some missteps, but I love how Georgia finds her voice and uses it.

Out of the gate, Georgia's sister, Courtney, felt like someone I'd be friends with. I was cracking up at her antics. I love what a great friend and sister she is. Her support and pushing Georgia to be true to herself is awesome.

I borrowed the audio book. The narrators are John Lane and Angelina Rocca. I really like both. Angelina was a perfect choice for Georgia. While I envisioned a bit of a deeper tone for Drew, I am not complaining. 🎧🧡🎧

Just a Little Promise 🌟🌟🌟🌟 -

C Phillips E Wilde Dare Crossover bk 03 Just a Lit

Let's Make a Baby!

DV haunts Skye Abbott (Tremont) as she continues working on getting her life back after years of damage from her ex. I admire women who find their way out of those situations and get the help they need to avoid sliding back into it. Most of it is off-screen, but it's there with some detail.

Tripp Daniels is surprisingly aware of some of the tells, making me love this patient and tender man even more. I like that he smartly pursues Skye, knowing that not only did he make a mistake years ago, but she's skittish.

“After my divorce, the last thing I’m in the market for is a man. Well, except for maybe his swimmers,” she added humorously.
-- Skye Abbott

There are some timeline inconsistencies, but I think they're minor. I find myself more interested in their chemistry and baby making fun. 😁🔥🥳

This isn't all light and fun as the past pays a visit. Man, oh, man! The way that all goes.... Yeah, I think I have a crush. 😍

I enjoyed the audio book as part of the 'Dare Crossover' series. The narrators, Angelina Rocca and Alex Knox, are very likeable and good choices for these characters. 🎧❤️🎧

Just a Little Chase 🌟🌟🌟🌟 -

C Phillips E Wilde Dare Crossover bk 04 Just a Lit

Deliciously Disheveled

I love Chase Gossard with all his grumpy ass mumblings and big heart. When he lets some of the moodiness go, I like how he has plenty of sweet, playful, and smexy moments with Lauren Connelly. They really are good together - once he gets his head out of his backside. 💜

Chase’s standoffish demeanor wasn’t doing him any favors. Unfortunately for her, if she wanted a date for her sister’s wedding, he was her only option, and she was desperate enough to take a chance on him.
-- Lauren Connelly

Lauren's family drama is handled with more grace than I could probably muster, but I like that it gets addressed. Along with that, I love how Chase supports her through it all.

I enjoyed the audio book as part of the 'Dare Crossover' series. Even though the quality of the recording isn't as good as I expect, I do like the narrators, Lee Samuels and Isabelle Turner. 🎧💜🎧

First book was great.. a self made super confident plus size woman standing up for herself. Loved it!
The second book was mehhh, and I got really annoyed with the dual point of view written in third person. It doesn’t make sense. And the cherry on top was the FMC saying “I love you” to the guy who was breaking up with her. Eww ewwww ewww. Not enough grovelling after this shit show.
The third book was okay, passable.
But the worst was the last one. Her sister apologising two years later for sleeping with the guy while he was still sister fiancé.. and now marrying him.. asking for sister forgiveness because she intends to have kids with him one day and wants FMC to spoil her nephews. Wow. Just wow. How low is this bar??
