Gage et Cary sont désespérés. Dans quelques jours, les parents de Gage le marient à une femme car ils ne croient pas aux vrais compagnons. Trouvant un vieux livre de magie dans le grenier, Cary s'essaye à l'invocation. Si un démon ne peut pas effrayer les parents de Gage et les forcer à les laisser tranquilles, alors personne ne le peut. Ils ne s'attendaient pas à trouver leur troisième compagnon, le roi de l'enfer, et le papa qu'ils recherchaient.
Trouver ses deux compagnons dans son salon est un choc. Lucifer va vivre un mois passionnant et cela ne compte pas tous les cadeaux qu'il doit assembler dans son atelier magique. Merde ! Pour être humain, Cary avait vraiment besoin d'apprendre qu'il y avait de vraies choses à craindre. « Cary ! » Gage attrapa le bras de son petit ami et les força à reculer de plusieurs pas. La distance. Ils devaient mettre de la distance entre eux et... et le diable !
« Quoi ? » Cary lui lança un regard noir tandis qu'il retirait son bras de l'emprise de Gage. « Ce n'est pas l'enfer. Nous étions censés être transportés en enfer ! Ou amener l'enfer à nous. Je n'ai jamais compris ce paragraphe. »
« Euh », réussit à dire Gage. Cary avait-il complètement raté le roi démon de deux mètres de haut qui se trouvait devant eux ?
Gage écarquilla volontairement les yeux et secoua la tête.
« Quoi ? » s'exclama Cary.
« C’est… c’est… Lucifer », lui dit Gage.
Cary tourna brusquement la tête pour regarder Lucifer. Au moins, il s'éloigna un peu du roi démon ou quel que soit son titre. Directement vers Gage. Gage enroula ses bras autour de la taille de Cary, le tenant près de lui. Si c'était leur dernier moment ensemble, Gage voulait serrer Cary dans ses bras.
« Le Lucifer ? »
Lucifer gloussa. « Le seul et unique. »
« Génial ! » Cary frappa des mains. « Tu peux nous aider. C’est encore mieux que d’invoquer un démon ! »
Quoi ? Cary avait-il perdu la tête ? « Non ! » Gage resserra son étreinte. « Nous sommes vraiment désolés de vous déranger, Monsieur… euh… Lucifer… »
« Veux-tu du chocolat ? » Lucifer fit un geste de la main vers sa tasse posée sur le bord du grand bureau en bois.
« Oui ! » répondit rapidement Cary. « J'adore le cacao. Je n'arrive pas à croire qu'il neige en enfer. J'avais toute cette image en tête, et ça ne ressemble en rien à ce que j'avais imaginé. » Cary s'échappa de l'emprise de Gage pour déambuler dans le bureau. Gage ne pouvait détacher son regard de Lucifer.
Gage ressentait cette promesse jusqu'au plus profond de lui-même.
Il avait placé toute sa confiance en son petit ami et dans l'invocation qu'il avait juré pouvoir accomplir. Gage regarda Lucifer sous ses cils tandis qu'il acceptait l'offrande de nourriture. Leurs doigts se frôlèrent et Gage frissonna.

Gage picked up the roll from his dinner plate and threw it at Michael. Lucifer had to give his mate credit. Michael didn’t have a chance to do anything more than sit there as the roll beamed him in the center of the forehead. With power. Michael’s chair fell back with him on it. Asmos leapt up clapping and hollering. Azreal refilled his wine. Cary stared at Lucifer with wide eyes. Gage was growling. Lucifer picked up his own glass of wine and held it up. “Merry Christmas!”

Triple POV, 3rd Person
Funny, sweet, action packed, and goofy. I enjoyed this story and didn’t feel too overwhelmed with not having read the other 8 stories in the Unlocked Mates series. There are a lot of names, but I just tried not to think too hard on it. There were some extra characters/grammar issues but nothing that really pulled you from the story. I enjoyed the portrayal of Lucifer the King of Hell, what a marshmallow! I’d say the only part I didn’t really enjoy was when . I get the point that was trying to be made, but I don’t think it was fair to either, especially Lucifer. Overall I enjoyed it and am excited to see how Bel’s story goes and am thinking about reading the Unlocked Mates series as well!

A continuation
If you have read Unlocked Mates you will know that this is a continuation of that series. This is the story of Lucifer finding his mate. But fate has a surprise for him. Instead of mate, he gets mates. The journey is sweet. This shows a side of Lucifer that could be possible in a real life world. Athena puts a twist on things that will make you think. The world between Heaven and Hell is a mystery. So it isn’t a surprise that Athena would latch on to this. It’s a sweet, with mystery of an ongoing struggle that has been happening for years, story. It’s a 5 star ⭐️ read with laughs, oh no’s, and a lot of cuddles and kisses. 💜

This was a fun, action packed holiday story that included many of my favorite tropes: polyamory, Daddy/middle/little, and cat shifters. The mystery behind why Gage's clowder was so against magic and mates was interesting. I loved how much Lucifer loves Christmas and that his two boys want to help him with his workshop. And Cary is such a sweet little. There were a ton of fun side characters. I can't wait to read more about them in their stories in the Unlocked Mates series.

I would’ve given this book 5 stars, but the editing need some work.
Otherwise, I loved this story. It was awesome. Cary and Gage are perfect for Lucifer. The accidental backfired summoning sent them to their mate the fates knew what they were doing. Lol in the ending oh my God Lucifer is so much trouble. What’s that saying again? “ Lucy, you got some explaining to do.” Lmao
On a sidenote, I really hope if Michael gets his book he gets put in his place. What a little jerk but maybe he’s just misunderstood or something like Anton was.

This was my favorite out of the entire series. Gage and Cary have been mates since children, with Gage being a cat shifter and Cary a human. Gage is being forced to marry a woman by his overbearing parents and Cary gets a crazy idea to summon a demon to stop it from happening. A novice at magic, Cary and Gage are instead summoned into Satan's lair. Satan isn't the big bad were taught but instead volunteered for the job of deciding who goes to hell or not. He also believes that all the letters to Santa are merely mispelled and so they come directly to him. Gage and Cary realize that Satan is their third mate, and chaos insues. I didn't realize this isn't only a part of the DKAG Christmas series, but also Ms. Steller's Unlocked Mates series so there were many cameos. I'm going to have to go read those now, because this book was a lot of fun.

There are so many funny, enjoyable moments in this book. The twist on Lucifer and his family are great and throw in a little drama and intrigue and you have a wonderful read.

I haven’t read the other books in this series so I won’t hold that against the author because of the multitude of names introduced. I was leaning to 3.5 stars, though. It has some editing errors that pulled me out of the book. And, while I liked the characters okay, everything seemed superficial.

Lucifer is adorable and it was great to see the boys again. I love the sneaky hints for what might he next for Axel’s family.

Man I love the direction the author took this. Her characters are always a joy to read and these were no exception. I have to admit that while I love all her books the Unlocked Mates hold a special place in my heart. I can’t wait to get more.

I love the underworld that has been created which began in the unlocked mates series, Lucifer was in for a real surprise when his two fated mates show up in his living with a problem. This is a lighthearted fun read and I love that Lucifer gets his Littles. Can’t wait for more in this series.

I thought this was a sweet, happy but steamy insta-love story. I thought this was a good addition to the Unlocked Mates Series world that Athena Stellar has created. My heart hurt for Cary and Gage, with all the bullsh*t Gage’s Clowder spewed, say that fated mates aren’t real, trying to force Gage to marry a woman, saying that a mating isn’t recognised by fate unless it’s sanctioned by the Alpha and Clowder Elders, that magic is really bad and that Gage can’t socialise with other paranormals which isn’t true at all.
I’m glad that Cary tried to summon a demon to help scare Gage’s parents away, as it brought them to their final fate mate Lucifer. Even though these were new characters, apart from Lucifer we still got to see them interact with a lot of the characters we’ve gotten to know and fall in love with during this series. We got introduced to a lot of new characters that I hope will eventually get their own chance at finding happiness, like Amos & Bel. I’m looking forward to reading more books with the Unlocked Mates Series world, as well as more books by Athena Stellar in the future. I’d recommend this book, series and author to everyone.
I thought this was a sweet, happy but steamy insta-love story. I thought this was a good addition to the Unlocked Mates Series world that Athena Stellar has created. My heart hurt for Cary and Gage, with all the bullsh*t Gage’s Clowder spewed, say that fated mates aren’t real, trying to force Gage to marry a woman, saying that a mating isn’t recognised by fate unless it’s sanctioned by the Alpha and Clowder Elders, that magic is really bad and that Gage can’t socialise with other paranormals which isn’t true at all.
I’m glad that Cary tried to summon a demon to help scare Gage’s parents away, as it brought them to their final fate mate Lucifer. Even though these were new characters, apart from Lucifer we still got to see them interact with a lot of the characters we’ve gotten to know and fall in love with during this series. We got introduced to a lot of new characters that I hope will eventually get their own chance at finding happiness, like Amos & Bel. This was a really cute read! It happens in the "Unlocked Mates" series but it's not necessary to read them to understand and follow the story. It makes more sense once you see the other couples but the author does an amazing job of mentioning them without overwhelming the reader.
