Writing has been my passion since childhood. As kids, while I wrote short stories, my younger brother Regimon created sketches to accompany them. Together, we crafted handwritten magazines and circulated them during our high school years, which in a short period, became very popular and the acceptance was hugely encouraging for us.

Within the family, we produced a handwritten daily newspaper, complete with our own brand name, imaginary advertisements, and news about home events. Our father was the President, and our mother was the Prime Minister.

Readers were plenty because ours was a large joint family, and everyone eagerly anticipated the daily newspaper each evening. Our elder brothers, Achenkunjachayan and Babuchayan, took the newspaper with pride to their workplaces, where their friends, who appreciated our creative efforts, were our first admirers outside the family.

Later, I sent my short stories and essays to various local media outlets, but they were often returned with regrets. Eventually, during my teenage years, a few of my works were accepted. However, that was also the time when my professional studies began, causing my writing skills to take a backseat. Now, as I near my retirement from a busy professional life, I am attempting to polish my innate skills and present to the world the stories I have long wanted to tell, beginning with my own turbulent and eventful experiences.

Life has unfurled as a reverie, wherein I am disposed to consign the bitter episodes to the recesses of memory's deep freezer, while I cherish the pleasant ones and press forward on the journey, resolved to relish the dream.

I just finished *The Grandshield Report* by Jacob Prince, and it’s a thought-provoking, inspiring read that blends futuristic vision with a gripping call to action. This imaginative "report" set in a world on the brink of another pandemic hooked me with its bold ideas and hopeful message. It’s not just a story—it’s a wake-up call about the future of healthcare and humanity’s role in shaping it.

The book follows a group of innovators who rise up during a time of crisis, using biotech, AI, and genetic engineering to transform medicine. I loved how they evolve into a trusted global auditing agency, holding the medical industry accountable. The stakes feel real, especially when you see the powerful, unexpected enemies they face—keeping you guessing about who’s behind the resistance and why. The narrative is fast-paced, with vivid descriptions of their investigations into shady practices, making every chapter feel urgent and intense.

What really stood out was the balance of innovation and ethics. The group’s mission to ensure science serves humanity, not just profit, hit home for me. It’s a refreshing take on a future where technology could either save or doom us, and Prince nails the tension. The challenges they face—like rooting out corruption and fighting a black market—felt scarily plausible, yet their determination kept me hopeful.

The writing is clear and engaging, blending technical details with human stories that make you care. While it’s a fictional report set in an undefined future, it never feels far-fetched—it’s more like a vision we could actually reach. *The Grandshield Report* is a must-read for anyone who loves futuristic thrillers with heart and purpose. It left me thinking about how we can build a healthier, fairer world today.
