She never would have guest who'd be headlining her summer...
To help keep her mom’s struggling bed and breakfast afloat, Jules rents the place out for the entire summer to a nameless mystery group. All Jules knows is they have an intense desire for no cellphones, no internet, and no leaving the B&B—which means this summer will be no fun. Sketchy as that is, they'll pay up front, which is exactly what Jules needs.
When the renters arrive, Jules is stunned to find herself in the presence of Vital Sign, the most popular boy band in ... pretty much ever. So, that’s a plus. Especially because the lead singer Cade is willing to help Jules out—a few pictures of Jules kissing Cade, and her jealous ex should come crawling back. Plus, it has the added benefit of giving Cade a story to feed to the ever-hungry tabloids later on.
But unbeknownst to Jules, the band is hiding out for a dangerous reason. While Jules wonders whether her fake relationship might be real, she also must decide if it’s worth the risk. Because the situation is escalating, and her life—not to mention her heart—is at stake.
Tiana Smith is a web designer turned novelist who grew up in the Rocky Mountains. She graduated from Westminster University with double degrees in Honors and English with a focus in creative writing. In her spare time she’s learning sign language with her hard of hearing husband and she volunteers with special needs individuals attending the bi-weekly activities for Utah County’s SNAP program.
Sweet Mountain Air is an utterly charming and suspenseful romance that perfectly balances heart, humor, and high stakes. Tiana Smith captures the allure of summer love and the emotional tension of unexpected connection with remarkable skill.
Jules is a wonderfully relatable protagonist strong, witty, and caught in a whirlwind of love, secrets, and second chances. The premise of renting out a struggling bed and-breakfast to a mysterious group quickly turns into something far more thrilling, and Smith’s pacing keeps readers hooked from the first page to the last.
What stands out most is how effortlessly Smith blends celebrity glamour with small-town warmth, turning a fun summer romance into a story with genuine emotional weight. The chemistry between Jules and Cade is electric, but it’s the deeper themes of trust, risk, and vulnerability that make Sweet Mountain Air truly unforgettable.
A delightful blend of romance, mystery, and heart this book is the perfect escape for anyone who loves a story that makes you swoon, laugh, and hold your breath all at once.
Meant to B&B is definitely a book I am going to recommend from here on out for anyone looking for a YA romance book rec! It has it all!!
Think... 🎶 boy band hotties 💔 teenage broken hearts and stupid exes 🫣 the right amount of SUSPENSE! 👠 moms who "know it all" 🤐 secrets and hidden identities 👫 fake dating 💋 kisses only 🎤 grand gestures!!
I can't wait for my daughter to be old enough to read this! If you have a YA romance reader in your house this is a MUST READ
A YA Romcom with a great voice and a swoony celebrity romance (hot kisses only). Jules helps at her mom’s b&b and is surprised when a boy band is the mysterious dinner guests. Cade Paxton is the perfect hero. Sweet, sensitive, and writes songs! I read it in one sitting.
SO CUTE!! This was the perfect feel-good book. It was adorable, and I loved all the characters. It was so much fun to read, I couldn't put it down! I seriously read this book in less than 24 hours. I highly recommend it!!
cade and jules were cute but the story felt really rushed and definitely not as good as the other books in the series. her father randomly spawning in was lame and the whole stalker subplot was just uninteresting. also i really don’t like when singers / actors get shoved into books.
SO much better than the first one!! I really enjoyed reading this book and all the characters involved!! The plot twists were easy to guess, but I enjoyed that because I can never guess a plot twist…made me feel smart. Anyways, this book was so cute and nice to read.
4 stars *:・゚✧*:・゚ such a cute story! loved the premise, loved the vibes, loved the characters. i also especially appreciated how short this was 🙏 great palette cleanser after the thick mysteries and fantasies i’ve been reading recently!
────── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ────── pre-read ✧・゚: *✧・゚:* i am SO sat for this. my local library is telling me to leave because “we don’t have a copy of this yet” but i can’t go anywhere because i’m too sat.
