It all started with a memo, a giggle, and an unexpected matchmaker.
Kathy Starnes (on behalf of Hendrick Pfeiffer, CEO) WCP Department Lead Distribution List MUST READ THIS BOOK!
The offices and cubicles of WCP Industries are a hot bed of gossip and rumors. Some people are fortunate enough to avoid getting caught up in that trap. Unfortunately for Casey, his failed romance has been the talk of the company. A few aisles over, Chaundra is thankful that her breakup hasn’t blown up in the same way. Hendrick Pfeiffer, CEO, has a vision for his company. Through a series of kerfuffle and hijinks, Casey and Chaundra get immersed in Mr. Pfeiffer’s idea of team building. With each challenge, they discover that they’re building more than WCP Industries. Can they resist their growing attraction?
This hilarious, sexy, off-beat Rom-Com is sure to make you laugh, swoon, and feel all of the things in between!
So darn cute and ridiculously funny! This was my first read by this author and it just happened to come up and my Kindle unlimited suggestions. This book is so cute and it’s so funny and I loved every minute of it. It’s a quick read. Which of course leaves you wanting more and anticipating the next releases in the series. Chaundra and Casey are literally the best characters ever so light so fun. They are determined to stay positive and make the most of things, even with all of the unhinged activities of their boss, Mr. Pfeiffer. The antics of Hendrick Pfeiffer are so outlandish but hilarious at every single turn and his giggling takes the cake. I would highly recommend this for anyone looking for a cute funny story.
I loved the storyline but mainly the laugh out loud moments. If you like your books with romance with humor. This would be the book. Casey and Chaundra are colleagues who had heartbreak in their past. I loved both characters and journey to love. I waiting for the next book with Chaundra's best friend and Casey's nemesis get together. Love this book!
This short story was more like fantasy with an unbelievable set of circumstances, especially in a corporate environment and with today’s workplace protections. I like the concept however.
Very entertaining story Lots of banter, laughter and over the top activities The MMC and FMC were meant to be together as our eccentric matchmaker planned Fun short read and so worth it Great job Ruby
It was simple(No drama), sweet, and quick. I Love the owner of the company. Casey and Chandra are sweethearts. I am looking forward to reading the series
Loved the concept of the book and the start of the book. However, I feel that this book had so much more potential and wish it was longer to showcase that.
There were parts of this story I found really funny, especially scenes with the eccentric boss. Kind of an interesting premise. There were a couple things, like the really long paragraphs or most of the emails not being in any kind of distinguishing format. Overall, it was an okay read.
I loved this romcom The interaction and chemistry between the FMC and MMC had me laughing. Mr. Pfeiffer character was bizarre and hilarious. I definitely going to read the sequel, I hope it is as sweet and funny as this book.
I laughed thru this ENTIRE book. Chaundra and Casey were a match made in heaven. Both had horrible past relationships and needed the confidence to try again. Mr Hendrick is SO FUNNY!! Him and Kathys antics made this book interesting. The team building games were well planned. Rachael and Peter were a pair too. I'm glad Casey showed Peter he wasn't weak and pityful. The Limbo contest..PRICELESS!! I'll definitely read more from this author.
I love this because it's funny and sensitive and steamy--a lot of punch packed into a novella. The main characters are very likeable and I want more of this michievous matchmaker character so hopefully Ms Flowers is writing the sequel!
I'm almost certain this was written by AI. There were too many moments that just felt off, like a human wouldn't use that wording, or an action or response didn't make sense. Check out the authors instagram- only ai's of the characters and even her one video "introducing" herself is suspect (the sound of her walking sounds fake and the cadence of her voice is weird. I know some authors like to remain anonymous, but there's something not quite right here... Support human artists!
This was such a good book! I honestly wish there was more because I still have questions — like what’s really going on with the boss? 😂 I feel like I became a bit of a matchmaker while reading.
And I’m sorry, but that gym outfit had me giggling. Why did it feel like he was just trying to be naked in front of everyone? I could not take it seriously. What kind of places have yal worked at 😂🫣😂
Definitely looking forward to reading more from this author!
If you want an IR book filled with comedic high school/adult workplace interaction, then The Matchmaker's Memo is the read for you! You have your strong female lead, who falls for the damaged male, and they both contend with a boss who believes he's Cupid. Put that all together, and you have love and laughter. I am adding Ms. Flowers to my shelves.
I tried but I just could not get into this story. I try not to DNF a book. I want to give the author time in a plot to make me want to finish. The plot was just too immature for my taste. I know it was supposed to be a ROM com. I just didn't get it.
I lmao through this book, hilarious moments. This is a short read, good storyline, drama, hot sex, and good characters. It's well-written, hope book two doesn't take long 😉.
I met the author at a conference yesterday and she is a true delight. The book itself is beautifully designed. It’s a short, snappy read of mostly conversation. I did not enjoy it— but that was a matter of personal choice, I wish I had more warning that this was more of a forced proximity romance than a romcom as advertised on the cover. The couple in question are forced into close contact by their boss in ways that are taboo/uncomfortable. Had I been better prepared for that type of set-up I would have probably given it four stars. As it was, I kept imagining some of my creepy bosses of the past and having flashbacks of some of real-life situations that ruined the book for me.
This is well-done for its concept, but the book description does not adequately prepare the reader for the content.
Again— good book, my personal opinion is based on life experience
