Finally we are getting Riff’s story. Years after Riff’s fiancé, Sadie, was murdered he will finally get the answers he has been looking for, although they might not be ones he likes. Riff and Angela have been butting heads ever since her sister’s murder and now that they are close to solving it a lot of secrets are coming to light. The secrets cause some tension but also bring better understanding to Angela and Riff’s relationships with each other and with Sadie. Lots of emotions and twists and turns in this story. It was worth the wait for the answers.

This is a story about Riff, a man consumed by the murder of his fiancée, and Angela, the deceased woman's sister, who is secretly in love with Riff. Riff's friend, Jonas, uncovers a crucial, previously buried piece of information about the murder. Riff is frustrated that this wasn't found sooner, while Angela, who has complex feelings of love and resentment for him, has kept her romantic interest hidden. The new information completely changes their investigation, forcing them onto a perilous journey for the truth. Despite the danger and the emotional tension between them, an unexpected bond forms, complicating their shared mission as they grow closer.

I loved this story with the two people who had feelings and emotions plus frustration with the mystery as to why the fiancee/sister died and who did it. There was danger and drama as they worked through the clues to get to be bottom of the mysteries even when the answers were not welcome or hurtful. Battles with the bad guys pushed them both together more. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MF story with just a little mature content at the very end of the story.

Riff has been a common character in many of the books in this series. Now it is his time, actually, his and Angela's time as they travel a very convoluted path to solve a murder. It is a page turner (a usual trait of Dale Mayer). There is a romance but not in the usual sense. This story will keep you guessing as you navigate the journey.

Finally Riff gets the truth about Sadie and how it's affected him and Angela. The crazy things people do when things don't go their way. There's danger, secrets revealed and coming to terms with everything. HEA.

I have been eagerly waiting for Riff's story which brings to a close the brilliant "Terks Guardians" series.
Terk's Guardians are an undercover team, mostly ex military but all with special psychic powers.
Riff had been on the periphery of the team, popping in when help is needed, but most of his time had been consumed with searching for the killer of his fiancé, Sadie, who had been murdered five long years ago.
Angela, Sadie's sister, had been secretly in love with Riff for a long time but he had always been distant with her, in fact it bordered on hostile. Angela also worked at Terk's headquarters in the beautiful Scottish castle, she was tending the influx of babies and their mothers, she also had the "energy" but not so much as her sister.
Riff had got Jonas (MI6) out of a tight spot, and in appreciation, Jonas had given him information that had come to light about the murder of his fiancé.
The lead led Riff to the streets of London, and although it was the last thing that he wanted, Angela, Royce and Langdon insisted on accompanying him.
As this story unfolds, secrets of Sadie's life are revealed, as the foursome face danger the suspense and tension rises and the animosity between Riff and Angela lessens.
It was obvious how this story was going to end but the enjoyable journey to a gentle romance was well worth the wait. I now look forward to the new series.

Riff & Angela

I’m so glad Riff finally got his story told. I have felt bad that he has had to wait such a long time to solve his fiancé, Sadie’s murder. The evidence and clues were just not being found.

Several people, including multiple law enforcement agencies, have been searching for any information to lead them to any clues for solving the murder. Finally, Jonas, from MI6, has acquired some information and shares it with Terk and Riff.

I loved how Terk’s team all join in to help with searching anything they can find or think about to find any angle to lead them to clues surrounding the circumstances of Sadie’s death. Unfortunately, any witness that has even a little bit of information, winds up dead.

Mystery and danger keep growing and now Riff and Angela are also at risk, but keep on fighting to find answers. The clues keep coming to fit each puzzle piece together to give them names or places of what Sadie was up to and how she ended up where she was found.

I liked how Riff and Angela put their animosity aside to work together to learn just how Sadie lived and what her thoughts were that led her down the dark path to her murder.

Full of mystery, danger, murder, and mayhem. Also, full of understanding, excitement, and a growing love that can’t be denied. Great story, I loved it.

Riff has been searching for answers to the death of his fiancée, along with Terk’s team. So far, they’ve found out nothing. Angela, his would-be sister-in-law, who also has special gifts, keeps popping in and out to help out with all the pregnant women and babies, as she’s a nurse. And that aggravates Riff.
Angela has had a love/hate relationship with Riff for some time. She knows more about her sister than he does. Of course, until now, they’ve avoided each other like the plague. Especially Riff. Now that some information has finally surfaced, they work together to find answers.
All Terk’s folks at the castle have been watching Riff and Angela, and they are just waiting for those two to realize how much they care for each other. And now that the answers have finally come to light…they can stop running from each other.

This psychic thriller will keep you on the edge of your seats and the characters will captivate you.Riff has been trying to find out who killed his fiance and why.Her sister is trying to find out also but she keeps staying close to Riff because she's been in love with him for years and can't seem to give up on a chance they could get together.Mean while Riff has been fighting with Angela and trying to avoid her but that's hard to do when she takes care of all the pregnant women at the castle and the babies she delivered.So when they get a small lead she tells Riff she's going with him an even though he gets to talk her out of it he knows she has the right for answers too.Every lead they get someone ends up dead.There are so many twists and turns to this story you will be riveted til the very last page.I can hardly wait to see what's next by this multi talented author.

I was looking forward to learning more about the enigmatic Riff. I was drawn in and enjoyed the mystery of the 5 yr old murder of his fiance Sadie. Couple that with Sadie's sister Angela being a nurse and care taker of all the babies at the Castle and I settled in for a twisty read with a few surprises. The constant back and forth between Angela and Riff was almost on repeat, some of it is understandable, you hash things over looking for a resolution. It appears Riff's story is the end Terk's Guardians, but we aren't leaving them behind there will be a new series, woot! Thank you for the advanced copy. The unanswered questions that Riff continues to have about his fiancé’s death continue to haunt him and he is not going to give up searching until the truth is revealed. When new information is uncovered he finds himself having to work with Angela, his fiancé’s sister, whether he wants to or not.

As Angela and Riff both work for Terk they are part of each other’s lives however it is difficult as he wants nothing to do with her and she has always had feelings for him. When progress is being made on what happened to her sister and why she is determined to be there as well even if it means facing her unrequited feelings for Riff.

Riff and Angela’s journey is an action filled ride that includes surprises, intrigue, healing and a heartwarming romance.

Riff! I've been waiting for this one, always guessed it would be the last in current series and the hardest probably emotionally. Five years Riff has struggled to find answers for his fiancee's murder and the nearness of her sister, finally a breakthrough. The answers when they come are hard, honestly I wanted to hug him and Angela, neither deserved what had been done. Glad they had some backup and support, better still the understanding that had lain under the surface for years and a chance to be happier than they had ever been. Suspense, action, investigating and eventually solving not just one murder.

I enjoyed reading Riff . It is such a sensational suspense romance . Riff has been seeking answers about his fiancee's murder for a long time . Angela has been seeking answers also to what happened even if they were estranged . When new information comes to light, Riff and Angela head out together to investigate further . What they find is secrets , betrayal and danger . As they uncover more answers they realize they didn't really know her like they thought . As they work together their true feelings come to light as does the danger . This is the story I've been waiting for . I was not disappointed . I highly recommend taking the time to read .

This is the final book in this series and it was a doozy! Riff has been trying to find out for years the circumstances behind the death of his fiancé Sadie. Her sister Angela a Doctor who works for Terk delivering the babies. She has also been trying to find out what happened. However for Angela it is harder when she sees Riff because before her death Angela discovered that her own fiancé was having an affair with Sadie. Riff never knew and Angela knew that if she told Riff certain things about Sadie he would never believe her. They have had a tumultuos relationship and when new evidence comes out regarding the murder they work together and things get very interesting!

It's the end of an era, but hopefully not the end of a series

We finally get Riff's story and it's a complete surprise for him and us. He does get answers and finally gets closure - but there are a number of secrets uncovered and unexpected twists that shock. Whilst the information uncovered initially devastates Riff, he quickly realises that actually, it makes sense. Looking back there are a lot of things that he didn't see before, that now make sense....including Angela!
I really enjoyed listening to this on Audible.

I was soo excited to read this one as Riff has popped up through out the other books to help others whilst teasing us of his past and story. Finally he has information to help him get answers but he is not doing it alone which is definitely not what he is use to but is a good thing especially as Angela is also going along and these two have feelings that need to be worked through while also uncovering secrets and there is always danger and tension so many heads make easier work.

Riff is finally getting answers to his fiancée death he hasn't been able to move forward with his life not knowing what really happened to Sadie. Angela who is Sadie's sister goes with him to find out what really happened both not believing what they are finding out. Information that was buried a truth that is hard to take along with danger, suspense, action, secrets and finally coming to terms about what happened.

Twists, thrills, tragedy and tension make a spellbinding combination that seized hold tightly and held me intensely from start to finish. I'd been eagerly anticipating Riff's story, and it did not disappoint. Angela and Riff were equally compelling characters and each of their relationships to Sadie added a raw genuineness and complexity to their blooming relationship and the story that was irresistible.

I have been enjoying this series so was aware of the mystery surrounding Riff's fiance's death and it's profound effect on him. Wow! He certainly got a break in the case and it was more interesting than I could have imagined. Great characters and great story as well. I really enjoyed it and stayed up way too late at night to finish it! Was well worth it!.

Riff lost his fiancè he needed answers but finally realise he needs to workwith the lady who was going to be his sister-in-law.
Angela knows more and at last needs to share it and Riff realise that they were both played. Working together they get their answers they need in way more ways than what Riff realise.

I was so excited to finally read Riff's story. He has been in almost all the other books in this series, if not all of them, and now we can read his story and know him better. Lots of suspense from the very beginning, just like Riff's character. LOVED IT!.

So many twists and turns plus plenty of danger as we learn what had happened to Sadie, Riff's fiancée and Angie's sister. And as the story progressed, both Riff and Angela had to come to terms with what Sadie was really like and eventually their feelings for each other (which were obvious to other member's of Terk's team).

What a crying shame.

People can do really despicable things to others. When you practice bad deeds usually bad deeds will happen to you. But if a person needs help please help them.

Riff didn't stand a chance with Sadie and neither did Angela. I hope they finally get their HEA.

A great series.

Book 15 in this great series sees us with Riff. Helping out Terk's Guardians and fighting the bad guys that want to take them down whilst also helping someone who needs it at that moment. I love this series. Its great that we have seen Terk and his team grow and grab onto others who need a landing spot as well. Can't wait for more.

Finally, the book I've been waiting for, Riff finally gets the answers about his fiancée murder. He teams up with her sister, Angela who knows what her sister was like but still also needs answers and to face her feelings for Riff. Good Story, well-written with a fast-paced and intriguing storyline wonderful characters.
