When event planner Holly Day takes on the Single Jingle, a festive speed dating mixer at the cozy SHE-iS Spice Shoppe, she’s determined to craft an unforgettable night of romance—for everyone else. What she doesn’t anticipate is Nicholas “Nick” Norris, the owner’s handsome and irresistibly charming stepson. Tasked with finishing last-minute renovations, Nick has an easy confidence that sets Holly’s pulse racing and her curiosity sparking. Their chemistry is immediate—so electric that even the spice shoppe staff can’t resist playing matchmaker. But when a mix-up with their contact information leaves them out of touch, both begin to wonder if their spark was a fleeting moment. As the Single Jingle kicks off, the festive atmosphere works its magic, and Holly and Nick find themselves drawn back together. What starts as a frosty misunderstanding turns into a heartwarming holiday romance, proving that sometimes, the best love stories begin when you least expect them.
While finalizing details for the upcoming Single Jingle, sparks immediately fly between Holly and Nick the moment he walked in the SHE iS spice shop. There’s no need for matchmakin’ because, these two know exactly what and who they want. Love is in the air in these Greenwood streets and it looks like it’s found the contractor and the event planner. The Single Jingle was the perfect blend of sugar and spice and warm winter vibes. I enjoyed catchin’ up with Tonya, Melody, and Lois and I’m keepin’ my fingers crossed for an update on Holly and Nick. 🤞🏾🤞🏾
Holly and St. Nick were just the cutest couple. They hit it off the first day they met, but a misunderstanding had them not connecting. I loved how they were a little older (forties) and both very open to the next phase of their lives. Overall, this was a pretty wholesome read and it was a slow burn of sorts but I eventually understood and enjoyed the build up before they finally connected. Christmas was done right and I could vividly picture all of the decorations, the ice skating rink, the brownstones covered in snow, the tree farm, the "coffee," the DJ lol, the details were everything. I loved the thoughtful gifts they shared even after being together for such a short time. I would love more time with these two, because it very much felt like the beginning of their story.
This was a top of my holiday reads. It was funny, sweet, sexy, and Christmassy with lots of family. Holly and St Nick were extremely cute and the chemistry was palpable between them. Marlee is working her way up my “immediate download” author.
What a fun read. Marlee's characters are so full of personality, that you can't help but to love them. The connection between Nick and Holly was immediate and electric. There was no playin' around as Nick made his intentions known. After sharing several fun dates with no follow-up, left them both wondering if what they were feeling was real. I had to giggle when it was revealed and the Jingle event what happened, as it truly was an innocent mistake.
Now full speed ahead. These two were adorable. St. Nick was drinking his DJ and serving excellent coffee, while Holly was reaping all the benefits. 😂 Enjoyed catching up with Lois, Todd and the sisters as well. Hope we see this family more in the future. 👍🏾👍🏾
This is it!! This is the one! If all my other holiday reads turn out to be duds I will be ok because of this book! The pacing was great, the holiday themed activities were magical, the care and chemistry and banter between the characters was amazing, and the spicy was warm and decadent! I would be remiss to not mention however that I didn’t care much for the way Kyle the side characters was made fun of, even if it was never to his face. I don’t think it added anything to the story and when his personality was so dry that could have been the focus of her lack of attraction instead of something he has no control over. Outside of that, this was an absolute delight.
This was such a cute Christmas story. I love the way this author tells her stories. As someone that’s a couple months shy of the 40 club, it’s always refreshing reading stories about people in my age range and helps me relate to them even better.
Holly and Nick were adorable and they complemented each other well. The scene from their first date and the Christmas tree lot had me swooning. This was a great addition to this series and I definitely would not mind an update on these two in the future.
As with Marlee Rae’s other books, Single Jingle did not disappoint. Watching Nick and Holly’s love story unfold was filled with lots of joy and laughter. The author has a way of drawing you into all of her stories by making the characters feel like they are really good friends…making them feel like family. Each books leaves you wanting more, leaves you wanting to attend the weddings, making you want to watch the babies grow up and so on. I can’t wait to get an update on this perfectly made for each other couple in a future Marlee Rae masterpiece.
Kindle, I should receive a free month for the inconvenience, anguish & frustration! Nevertheless, yes I’m still reading holiday books in January 🤭‼️And might still be read them through March. Meanwhile, “Single Jingle” (SHE Is series)” was a great read. Holly & Nick are a cute & festival couple. Perfect addition for this entrepreneurial adventurous family that jingles all of the time and all the way🤭😉‼️
This is not my first Mingle w/Marlee and I’m forever a fan. This short read is a perfect blend Rae bought the sugar, honey and spice in the SHE is series and Holly & St. Nick is errrrrrrrthang nice. Their chemistry is amazing trying a winter warm vibe all season long.
I love the SHE-is series and loved how Nick and Holly’s stories tied in to that one. I’m glad the miscommunication trope was done with quickly. I love how the characters got to actually know each other and were both successful entrepreneurs. I hope we get another one with Todd and Lois’s wedding and to see these two in the future.
I loved everything about this book especially the “mature love” love point of view. This book made me laugh out loud, blush, and everything in between. The spice was just enough and not too much. This was just a perfect Christmas romance. I loved Holly and Nick’s story so much!!
Marlee's writings leave you wanting more. I love her Rom-Coms and how she intermingle's characters from her other novels. They leave you wanting more, like next weeks show from a series. Single Jingle was so cute, romantic and funny. I look forward to the next book in this series because there is more to these two lovebirds.
This book was everything. I love Nick and Holly. Nick’s family and Holly’s brother Reed were hilarious. This was the perfect Christmas story. It was sweet, wholesome and the right amount of sexy. Loved it ❤️
This was a short, cute, fun, grown and sexy Christmas story! It was very engaging from the beginning through the end!! I thoroughly enjoyed this and most definitely recommend you reading it!! Excellent work, Marlee, and Kudos!! 💜
Nick's thoughts about molly were written beautifully, this insta-love was pretty good, the time spent together was wholesome, i skimmed past the spice but the sexual chemistry is very strong.
Holly and Nick put Hallmark to shame. This was a funny read with holiday spirit without the overkill! Give it a try! You, too, will love them and Greenwood.
