As Detective Raina Andrews struggles to heal from crushing betrayal and unspeakable loss at the hands of someone she trusted the most, her inner demons almost get the best of her.
Out of fear, she pushes love away when she desperately needs it. She’s willing to sacrifice her feelings to keep the object of her affection safe from harm, but is that the best course of action? And what about the other women — Ally and Jen —who have become targets of stalking and harassment alongside her as the list of missing women grows? Is she protecting them, or unconsciously using them as bait?
While Raina navigates her adversary’s campaign of psychological warfare, she begins to uncover his hidden past. As the puzzle pieces start to come together, the monster is still out of reach, and she realizes she’ll need to bounce back quickly — as much for herself as those she’s sworn to protect.
But will it be enough? Can she find him in time to save a life?
Another page-turner that was even more addictive than the first book. From the very beginning, the story hit the ground running and never let up, delivering nonstop twists, emotional depth, and high-stakes drama that kept me completely hooked. The characters grew in powerful, unexpected ways, and the plot unfolded with masterful tension right up to the final, breathtaking moments. A brilliant continuation that proves this series only gets better—unputdownable until the very end. Hoping this series will be continued!
The amount of twists and turns this book had made me feel as if I needed a flight suit on to handle those g-forces but I just couldn’t let go.. I finished this book in a total of 6-hrs combined simply because of that! I highly recommend this series and absolutely cannot wait to read the next addition when it’s released!
Natasha Carter wrote a third book and yes I loved it. She writes through the eyes of Raina and you are seeing the events happen as if you’re standing there. I truly enjoy her work and can’t wait to see her grow and what other adventures awaits us
Natasha really created an Iconic heroine for our time. Someone who is both incredibly strong and vulnerable at the same time, and I hope that she writes ✍️ many more sequels featuring Raina.
