Nicole Quiles was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico. She is a writer, journalist, educator and founder of Panoptico PR, a digital magazine she launched in 2014 dedicated to culture, arts, music, interviews, opinion and film. She earned a degree in Communications with a focus in Film, Radio, and Television Production from the Universidad del Sagrado Corazón, and later completed a master's degree in public communication with a major in Journalism at the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras campus, where she also studied Drama.
Throughout her career, she has published articles and essays in both local and international outlets, exploring themes of identity, Puerto Rican culture, diaspora nostalgia and family dynamics. Her writing is known for blending emotional depth with cultural insight and a strong sense of place.
Meollo, her debut book, was published in December 2024. She began writing it at the age of sixteen, weaving together reflective and nostalgic stories rooted in memory.
