Perhaps not the person to review this travel guide. My recent visit to Mallorca was for my nephew's wedding. Everything was arranged for me. I stayed in my sister's four star hotel in Palma Nova. However, although I've taken little notice of this guides recommendations for where to eat, stay, shop and places to be entertained, it has come in handy on the days I've escaped the family. The AA guide to Mallorca has more colour pictures than the 'Lonely Planet' guide. I found the public transport advice to be very good, even though I hired a car from the airport (SIXT) and didn't use the buses or trains. The road maps in this book are adequate, though I can recommend the train journeys from Palma to Soller and Inca from previous visits. Also worth a see are the Caves of Drac. No doubt this guide covers the island pretty well and worth a place in the suitcase.
