It’s a snowstorm for the record books in the small factory town of Little Dew. Cora, an impoverished social worker, expects to be home before the roads become impassable. The night takes a fateful turn when Cora has to make one last house call before she can clock out—a visit to check on the mysterious recluse, Marsha Brathers. As Cora’s shift extends into the night, she confronts a bleak fear that she might never make it home alive.

About the author

Samantha Kolesnik is a retired author, filmmaker, and artist. She is best known for her books Waif (2021) and True Crime (2020).

She is also the author of the YA novella Elogona (Weirdpunk Books) and the short fiction collection Tales From Between Presents: Samantha Kolesnik’s Lonesome Haunts.

Her short films have screened at festivals internationally. Her directorial debut, Mama's Boy, premiered at the Telluride Horror Show.

After enduring significant trauma and focusing on recovery from PTSD, Kolesnik has chosen to step away from writing and publishing.

Can someone help me find this book? It’s not even mentioned on Amazon or any articles. I found out about it from the author’s Bluesky account but then she deactivated. Was looking forward to this novella.
