Book 7 in this incredible series and we see Eden Black as always in the midst of trouble ( although not as we the reader think ) before she sets off with her team to enter a world of definite ‘real trouble’
The simple way to explain the archaeological finding in this book is it is a power, an energy that could change the world and all we know, of course it is more complex than that but thats how I kept it in my mind
The crystal ( the eye of the Sahara ) is under threat and Eden is tasked with neutralising the threat and got to say all is not as seems, the baddie ‘Irons’ actually has a believable and valid reason for wanting its power and my opinion of him changed, the methods used very crafty as becomes apparent
There is a part in the book where Eden and her team take hospitality from someone only to find it is more than bargained for, a thrilling section of the book which you can only imagine how you would feel!
Eden keeps the dry humour going as do most characters ( loved the reference to opening boxes ) and the story is as always well written and compelling
More of an unusual finish to the authors books than normal but imo a great ending

What can I possibly say to justify how brilliant The Sahara Event is?
DYNAMITE, the story has completely blown my mind!
Be prepared to have a sleepless night, because once you've started reading it you won't want to put it down.
Book seven in the series but can easily be read as a stand alone.
The eye of the Sahara had been hidden for centuries (with good reason)until two scientists discovered it's whereabouts.
A decade later and someone plans to steal it for their own personal gain. Dr Irons (the bad guy)nows the full power that the eye has and will stop at nothing to secure it.
Enter Eden Black and crew who will also stop at nothing to keep the eye safe.
We are taken on a journey to Marrakesh and also the long lost city of Atlantis and boy what a journey it is.
Eden finds out about her past and this is where my mind is blown away. You have to read it to believe it folks!
Exceptional characters with high octane fast-paced action throughout.
Great to see you again Eden and I'm looking forward to the next adventure.

In a plot worthy of Indiana Jones or Lara Croft, deadly events take place at a research facility in The Sahara Event. Only the Director escapes and alerts feisty main character Eden Black, partner Baxter and her Dad, Winslow, who hurry to help rescue the fugitive, courtesy of pilot friend, Nora 'Sierra' Byrd.
An international chase follows and the supernatural secrets gradually revealed gave me goosebumps, as this well- researched novel posited a lost civilization's unexpected whereabouts.
The great characters and many twists and turns in the all-action storyline of Luke Richardson's The Sahara Event, gripped me firmly by the imagination throughout, and I can highly recommend this suspenseful adventure - it's unputdownable, so grab it quickly, before it sells out!

As always, Lukes stories start out, packed with action and intrigue. Finding a mysterious stone in the Sahara desert, leading scientist Doctor Glass to work for 10 years trying to discover its properties. Her team in Los Alamos are interrupted by an infiltrator who’s trying to steal the stone. The Dr. neatly escaping calls for Eden and her crew for help. Realizing what has to be done they fly to Marrakesh. The story gets extremely interesting at this point as it’s filled with ancient customs, beautiful scenery, and a phenomenon in the desert. Eden has grown up so much since her debut, working out problems and relationships. She’s now a mature woman who works super diligently to save the world with her secret society. I’m so impressed by the authors depth of knowledge in every book regarding the history and color of the regions where the stories are played out.

So many stories are running in parallel that even Eden will not see what is coming to her until she faces it and sees her life spinning like mad. The Sahara Event is a breathtaking thriller where questions that plague humanity are in the main plot: why Atlantis disappeared, how were the pyramids built, what's the meaning of Stonehenge, is time travelling possible, why entire civilizations disappeared, and so on. It's fast-paced, full of action as all Eden Black's stories are, written with humor and precise descriptions that'll keep you glued to the book from beginning to end. Highly recommended!

Eden Black thillers, where archeological thriller meets Sci-fi, with a touch of mysticism. This series is unlike any others I've read in the genre. The writing is exemplary as are the plots. They are well researched, bringing the reality of every location and blending it with historical mysteries to create a world so far unimagined. After having read all the novels with Eden Black so far, I sure have a soft spot for team Eden/Baxter, and can’t stop grinning when Byrd joins in . They are amazing characters.
In this exciting thriller the search for a stolen powerful crystal keep you on the edge of your seat.
I, for one, had trouble pausing, in order to do some eating or sleeping.
Great story, very well written, I loved it !

Three-Quarters Great
Through most of the book, I was thoroughly entranced. Great action and characterization in an exotic scene described perfectly. The setting truly lent itself to Thriller tropes.
Then the last chunk of the book dissolved into a repetitive sci-fi like plot of time travel, hero reincarnation, heroine genealogy, and an advanced culture vaguely developed.
With all the promo lead up hype, I expected much more.

A mysterious crystal is stolen from a high security lab. Eden Black and her team are drawn into another thrilling adventure to discover the true resting place of Atlantis. I enjoyed this installment in the series although the science discussed was way over my head. I loved the new character of Hamid who was always ready with the perfect saying or thought. Learning more about Eden's background was also very interesting. I look forward to her next adventure!

What they find could change human understanding and change the entire world if one man succeeds in his plan. Action packed from the beginning. Eden Black receives a call from Dr Eva Glass who is hiding out protection an ancient crystal. The crystal cannot fall into evil hands. A chase to return the crystal while being followed. A page turning thriller.

I LOVED THE SAHARA EVENT! As always with Eden Black, there’s almost non-stop action with the archeological mystery threaded through everything. The characters are first rate with realistic dialogue and interaction. The plot is well thought out and fast moving.
While this book is part of a series, each book can easily be read as stand alone. Dive in anywhere along the way!
