Eric was the last person anyone would expect to survive a zombie apocalypse. Born with Cerebral Palsy, he was used to fighting for a place in a world that didn’t want him. Now, he is faced with the end of that world and an even bigger problem—the dead. With the help of his best friend Olivia, he is hoping to survive by making it to the one place he ever truly belonged.
Written by first-time author Melissa McPherson, The Lesser Remain is a survival story for those of us who would typically be left for dead.
Having a family member with CP, I was excited to read this book! The author does a great job of explaining the struggles that one with CP would face in a zombie apocalypse. It kept me engaged and rooting for the main character the whole time! This is not an inspirational story about overcoming your differences. It is an in your face and honest account of what it would be like living with CP and facing the end of the world! Love, Love, Love!!!
This book combines the pandemic with a zombie apocalypse, with the hero as a young man with cerebral palsy, who overcomes everything to navigate through this new world. It kept me engaged throughout, and I am normally someone who stops reading after the first few chapters if I am not engaged! What a great first book! I am looking forward to more great reads from this author!
Zombie apocalypses aren’t usually my go to genre but I was intrigued by the idea of having a disabled main character trying to survive. I went in not expecting to love the book but I was pleasantly surprised. I loved it! The characters felt authentic and interesting. The story was fast paced and engaging. All around a must read!
I finished this book in a DAY. I could not take a break and just kept coming back to it! The suspense was amazing I had to know what happened next!
Definitely off the zombie-beaten apocalypse path. Being disabled myself it did a great job of perspective and made me imagine how i would survive that scenario. Can't wait for the sequel!
What a great story for first time published author. I was in the edge of my seat till the last page and of what a ride. You can feel the tension and real sense of danger. Can’t wait to see what she comes up with next.
This was an exciting zombie apocalypse book with lots of action. There were a few editing issues that sometimes made it difficult for me to follow but it obviously didn’t stop me from finishing the book.
The best zombie apocalypse I have read! It was fast-paced, still made me laugh, kept me so engaged I read it in one sitting, and I loved and appreciated the disability representation! I will recommend to everyone!
A unique new take on the end of everything with an equally unique main character. Being in a wheelchair does not mean helpless, nor does it mean incapable. I loved this story for what it showed about differing abilities. Well written, well told.
