An impending divorce. A hot homicide detective. And spontaneous time travel.
Midlife in Glimmerspell is proving to be magical.

If I thought the first half of my life was a bumpy ride, I’d better buckle up because I’m about to go over the hill and off the rails. A laugh out loud Paranormal Women’s Fiction Novel by New York Times, USA TODAY, & Wall Street Journal bestseller Addison Moore!

After catching my husband in bed with another woman, I gave him the heave-ho, put our house on the market, and moved away to an enchanting little town for a brand new start. What I didn’t count on was the fact that enchanting little town might just be—enchanted. Glimmerspell is rumored to be home to vampires, werewolves, and fae, but those are just simply gimmicks to lure tourists to their snowy little town—aren’t they?

Nevertheless, I’ve got a job at the Haunted Book Barn where my niece films her infamous video blog—Murder, Mayhem, and Baking. She’s somehow wrangled me into helping out with whipping up the sweet treats, and in the middle of filming an episode a hot flash strikes and I’m transported to another time, place, and another day entirely.

If I thought the first half of my life was a bumpy ride, I’d better buckle up because I’m about to go over the hill and off the rails.

Fun read.

Last book (4) was a bit disappointing - it was rushed. Issues raised by the author were not addressed, as well as some other plot issues, but overall, fun to read.

This was fun! I enjoyed the 4 novels by Addison Moore in this series. Every time Billie Buttonwood has a hot flash she is teleported to another place or time. Since she is menopausal, this happens at some inopportune moments.

She has a daughter with her ex-husband. He had an affair with a relative of his and they have a baby together. Her ex-husband and his new intended are in the novel and pop up frequently.

Billie has another talent. She falls over dead bodies rather often. This brings her into the path of Elliot Greenly, the town sheriff and major hot man. He has a son with an ex girlfriend Iona. His son and Billie's daughter are interested in each other.

There are a lot of supernatural things happening in this book. I enjoyed reading a lot and had quite a bit of fun with it. I would recommend it to people who like light supernatural mysteries.

My only "beef" with the novel is the author witnessing her love for Jesus at the end of each of the four novels. So unnecessary and honestly, I nearly stopped reading after the first time I saw that. I wish people would keep their religious feelings to themselves. So, there's that.

Anyway, the books are amusing, the mysteries are light and not too serious and I enjoyed the books. I'd enjoy reading more of this series if there are any more to come.

This series stops at about 65% of the book as there are previews for other series which the author has written. I'm not going to bother reading them so...I guess I have two beefs with the author after all!!!

Enjoyed getting to know Billie, and am surprised the series is over or is it? I liked how series overlap so perhaps a spin off is in the works, but I still have questions. I guess they can be answered in another series. Like what is the deal with Elliot and Cash? What are the impacts of saving Dextra?

I have to admit the last book threw me. How could her friends and family not have her back and she made the cake too!?! Harper was a brat as well, teenager or not. I am going to miss seeing Billie get a handle on her gift. I thought she did a great job solving the murders, and maybe a consulting job with the police is in order 😉

I have read many of Addison' series. The virtual voice was perfect. but Melissa G sounds like a 2nd grader reading in chopped unp sentences. I feel that I would have enjoyed the book if the voice in her other books were used. I started the book over three times but really couldn't tell about the book itself, which is why I gave it a three.
