Lucifer Fraydon is ancient, powerful, and long since done with love. Cold and untouchable, he’s spent centuries keeping the world at a distance—until he meets Graham Bay.
Human, yet full of secrets, Graham draws Lucifer in despite his better judgment. As rogues wreak havoc across the city, Lucifer keeps Graham close, determined to uncover the truth—but instead finds his walls beginning to fall.
Graham knows he should be afraid, yet he can’t resist the pull between them. As danger rises and hidden truths surface, both are forced onto a path neither expected—where control slips, and something far more dangerous than enemies begins to grow.
So parts of this were confusing. It felt like they were breaking the fourth wall and talking to you, but I don't know, I kind of went back and forth with it. It was also a bit repetitive. However, all of that aside, I think this could have been a really good book. But with all the information getting thrown at you because the author wanted to make sure you knew what was going on, it felt messy.
No rating. DNF Chp 5. The story sounds interesting, cover art is great, and narrator not bad. But the cadence is really odd and I don’t want to continue
