Loved this book so much! Sometimes it can take me a while to finish a book cover to cover, but I was so hooked on this book that I finished it in an afternoon. The story is easy to follow along while still having a unique storyline and its own plot twists. The character development was very well written and so were the personalities of the characters. I love how visually descriptive the book is as well, it made it easier to follow along. I loved the names for everything as well as the unique creatures the author created. Overall I loved the book and can’t wait for more!

I’ve been meaning to write this review for months, and I’m so glad I finally get to! This debut fantasy novel is an absolute gem. The characters are unforgettable, the story moves at a perfect pace, and its theme of hope and letting your light shine is handled beautifully. I’m already counting the days until book two!

And I cannot tell you how much it means to me that I know another SMU student my age who is also a published author!
