I stumbled upon the author's fanfics on AO3, and when I saw this original work, I immediately bought it to read. I ended up bingeing it over a few sleepless nights—finally finished! The visuals are so vivid, and the storytelling is super clear and engaging. Besides the two leads, I absolutely adore the character Cobra; I picture her as this silver-haired bombshell rocking a wine-red leather trench coat and red-soled stiletto heels. I also love all the codenames in Paradise Lost—Prozac is such a perfect pick!

This book delivers exactly what it promises: high-stakes spy action and scorching hot forbidden romance. The "cat-and-mouse" tension between Ruolan (the spy) and Freya (the assassin) is absolutely electric. It gives serious Killing Eve vibes but—thankfully—with the satisfying Happy Ever After we all deserve.
The plot is a rollercoaster, from the neon streets of Bangkok to the heartbreaking separation (the amnesia trope hurt so good!). The blend of angst, betrayal, and steamy scenes is perfectly balanced. If you love enemies-to-lovers with morally grey characters and non-stop adrenaline, pick this up immediately.
