He is obsessed OBSESSED with her like crazy obsessed like I'll-do-everything-to-make-her-love-me obsessed (idr much i read it few months ago but he stalks her to her work, buys flowers, even lies to spend time with her (cuteeee).. We love psycho possessive mmc right??? These stars are just for Beom Tae-ha, his bodyguard and his dad LOL because I'm not really a fan of the fmc ik she loved his husband (Mincheol) but enduring domestic violence was still out of question and moreover giving him a second thought after you've seen him with another girl on your bed 🙄🤚

Completely obsessed. Read 81 chapters in 5 hours yesterday. It’s still ongoing and it’s killing me that I have to wait for a new chapter every single week now.

The slow burn was so well done. And don’t even get me started on Taeha. Oh my god. His obsession. His devotion. He’s so…manipulative and intense but I freaking LOVE him.

Also the reverse age gap??? It adds such an interesting dynamic to their relationship. I immediately want to read actual books with this trope now.

As part of my branching-out effort from traditional books I turned to manga and wanted to try Webtoons for the first time. “Tears on a Withered Flower” has probably ruined me as far as artwork because it’s beautifully stylized and laid out in a way that’s easy for English readers to understand.

As an overall story, I do appreciate a “reverse” age gap romance among adult characters. But I could NOT get over how much this reminded me of watching Toonami as a kid: the recaps are long, the setup for the next “episode” is long, and thus the actual plot movement is berg-paced. I was initially really behind Haesu’s plight and representation of depression in the first few chapters, but that quickly tires out. After 10 chapters the most I know about her is just physical attributes; nothing to build the “why” behind the arrangement with her ex-husband or why Taeha might become an interest as she’s still clearly working to put her marriage back together.

I only had access through chapter 10, and the TBR is too long to pay for more at the moment. This felt like a good introduction to Webtoons, but it’s incredibly repetitive and I’m not sure I’m going to hang on if I’m only getting scraps of this story every few weeks.

Update on 9/21/25: Read through Episode 23. Slow burn indeed. And still nothing. Literally no plot movement (because we always know what’s going to happen long before Haesu does) has happened and, while there is some great tension between them, I wish Taeha would buy pants that fit.

Update on 11/26/25: Read through Episode 38 and flipped review to “Spoilers”. Finally some life from Haesu (and now I sound like Mincheol, I guess?). I do appreciate as we get further into her headspace she never thinks of Taeha for his looks, unlike everyone else — including us readers, because what else do we have to work with? — but her constant ennui and infantalizing of him out-weirds the supposed weirdness of his interest in her. This episode felt like a sort of angsty climax (no pun intended) so maybe the actual plot can begin.

Update on 11/27/25: Okay, I skipped ahead to Episode 77…and am officially done with this series. Haesu is the absolute worst partner in so many ways: emotionally, financially, physically — what partner’s favorite words during sex aren’t “Just put it in” and “Are we done yet?”, big sigh, for gods sake woman! The author must not think much of women’s pleasure. — and Taeha must not have much of a character arc if we’re this far into the series and they’re having the same conversations as in the first 10 Episodes. Such a disappointment, because this has a lot of potential and moments of lightning; they never last. Dropping to 1.5 stars ⭐️

You know how, when you read something SOOOOO toxic that you do not second-guess stepping away from it and pledging to never touch it again nor recommend it to anyone? This book is the first 9 words of the previous sentence lol

BUT, I can't stop reading it! It's definitely not the best book to read at this point in time, given the situation I'm dealing with this year. It's lyrical a lot of times, but toxic for most of it.
I have nothing more to say about the art, though, except that it's amazing!

Don't blame me when you hear the song Hey Daddy (Daddy's Home) by Usher when you finally meet the male lead, though mehehehe

L’histoire est trop bien j’adore, mais il y a des longueurs sur la fin des chapitres… On ne sait toujours pas pourquoi beom taeha est obsédée par elle, ni trop son passé etc. Mais par contre la tension entre les deux 👊🏻💥

Bueno tenía mis dudas sobre este manhwa pero no pude resistirme, todavía sigue en emisión pero estoy emocionada sobre cómo seguirá la trama

Na hae soo es una prota que tiene una voluntad fuerte, puede que parezca débil pero tuvo por muchos años el peso de llevar dinero a su casa sin descanso, solo espero que sea feliz y al fin viva tranquila

Beom Taeha que hombreeee, me encanta cuando maquinan todo para forzar el destino, no tengo palabras para él, es todo lo que está bien para mí

Y ojalá sufra Mincheol que lo odiooo desde el inicio no merece más que desprecio

Hay cosas muy cliché pero por el momento no merece quejo, el dibujo es muy hermoso aunque siento que exageran ciertas facciones… pero dejando de lado eso la trama atrapa

This is such a well made Manhwa.
The characters are very relatable, they're fleshed out, it's DEEP, and the artwork is STUNNING; Every panel has been well thought out and drawn immaculately 👌

Reading something illustrated has been a wonderful and enlightening break from traditional reading. The art style is top tier and very sexy.
This is SMUT, but with PLOT! TOAWF's story is character driven and mature. Josei.

33 yr old emotionally damaged, but beautiful, Haesoo catches her "husband" of 13 years cheating with his younger co-worker. Her ex husband has also taken out a huge loan in her name, leaving her in a ton of debt. Haesoo then embarks on a journey of self discovery and healing. Her self esteem and self worth, which has been WRECKED by her shitty ex husband and absusive up bringing, is slowly strengthened over time with the help of a super sexy younger man. A man 10 years younger than her (23) and who has also been STALKING the FL for like, ever. A secret admirer of sorts. Cross that- HE IS OBSESSED, and completely smitten with the FL. The ML, Taeha, is on a mission to win her heart. And wreck her p*ssy. It's so cute, sweet, thought provoking, relatable, and HOTT! Of course- He's also super rich, a chaebol heir (an extremely wealthy and powerful korean family), associated with the Yakusa (possibly), and pretending to be poor and naive in order to get closer to Haesoo. The ML is manipulating his way into the FL's life and doing whatever it takes to make her his.

I think I finally fell asleep at chapter 41.......

This is one of those series where I was awake in the middle of the night and decided I wanted to read a random series I kept seeing online. Would I have picked it up any other time? Probably not. Will I finish it now that I've started it? Yeah, probably. Red flags, mind games, and so many other things are keeping me guessing.

I'm still trying to figure out the characters and what's going on in their heads. And by that I mean Taeha.
