In this outrageous and original double-feature graphic novel, Phineas and Ferb face an oversized maze full of oversized insects and oversized challenges, forcing them to invent their way home! The second story features an alternate reality adventure with Dr Doofenshmirtz as a horror movie TV host teaming up with Phineas and the gang to face real monsters, including a giant feral Perry!

In the first half of this outrageous and original double feature, Phineas and the gang invent a maze to get lost in, but Doofenshmirtz’s ELONG-inator makes it so big that it absorbs all of Danville; and now everyone ELSE is lost too! Our heroes must invent their way out while Agent P stops Doof from exploiting the maze to take over the entire Tri-State area!

The second story features an alternate reality take on our fan-favorite characters, with Dr. Doofenshmirtz as a cheesy, late night TV horror movie host. When Phineas and Ferb discover actual monsters in Danville, they seek out Doof’s help, even as Candace, a staunch non-believer, vows to reveal them as frauds. With the help of Doof and his horror movie knowledge, the kids build wild inventions to confront the creepy creatures, before facing their largest monster a gigantic, feral Perry the Platypus!

Whoever writes the comics has a fine understanding and love of the show. This time, there are two stories. One where Doof isn’t the villain (surprise). Instead, it is a group of scientists who dump a space chemical into the river and it starts making giant spiders and frogs and platypi. Does it make any sense? Does it ever? Is it fun? Yes.
The second story has the boys and their friends building a maze that ends up being giant when shot by Doofenschmertz’s latest invention, the elong-inator-anator. He also ends up with a big head and Perry has a large tail which makes for some interesting story lines.

While I'm still partial to the show over the graphic novels, this has all the required elements of a Phineas and Ferb episode.

- "Doo-bee-doo-bee-doo-bah!"? Check
- "Doofenshmirtz Evil Incorporated"? Check
- "Hey boys.... whatcha doooooing?" Check
- tragic Doofenshmirtz backstory? Check
- inator? check
- "Mom, mom mom!"? Check

I do miss the song, but mutant animals with a faux-Svengoolie Doofenshmirtz and a medival castle maze are completely in line with the wonder and humor that is Phineas and Ferb.

Da unsere gesamte Familie Phineas und Ferb Fans sind und schon viele Serien von den Beiden geguckt haben,waren wir sehr gespannt auf das Buch "Phinea und Ferb Monster Marathon".Mein Mann und mir ist die Serie schon seit Kindheitstagen bekannt.Zusammen mit meinen Kindern habe ich mich sofort auf das Buch gestürzt.Der Comic ist einfach genial und die Illustrationen sehr detailliert und kreativ gezeichnet.Das Buch ist in zwei Teilen unterteil.Im ersten Teil kämpfen Phina und Verb mit gigantischen und bedrohlichen Rieseninsekten die die gesamte Stadt bedrohen.Bei Teil zwei irren Phina und Verb durch ein Labyrinth und es kommt zu einem Duell an dem auch Dr.Doofenshmirtz und das Schnabeltier beteiligt sind.Meinen Kindern und mir hat das Buch das sehr humorvoll ,fantasiereich und actongeladen ist sehr gut gefallen.Da meine beiden Kinder noch Leseanfänger sind konnten sie teilweise das Buch schon selbst vorlesen.Der Comicstil hat besonders meinen Kinder gefallen die immer mal wieder das Buch durchblättern um sich die tollen Zeichnungen anzusehen.

Wer die verrückten Sommerferien von Phineas und Ferb liebt, kommt auch bei diesem Comic voll auf seine Kosten. A-Maze-ing Creature Double Feature bietet genau den schrägen Humor, den man aus der Serie kennt: skurrile Erfindungen, chaotische Abenteuer und natürlich Perry das Schnabeltier, der wieder einmal versucht, Dr. Doofenshmirtz aufzuhalten.
Die Geschichten sind kurzweilig erzählt und die Zeichnungen fangen den Stil der TV-Serie hervorragend ein. Besonders Fans werden viele bekannte Figuren und Anspielungen wiedererkennen. Der Humor richtet sich zwar vor allem an jüngere Leserinnen und Leser, sorgt aber auch bei Erwachsenen immer wieder für ein Schmunzeln. Man findet rasanten Lesespaß mit viel Witz und dem typischen Phineas und Ferb-Charme.
Fazit: Ein unterhaltsamer Comic für Fans der Serie und alle, die Lust auf ein verrücktes, humorvolles Abenteuer haben.

Really funny comic with a great storyline. Nice Characters as in the show. Perfectly written and designed.
