Getting better but there's still niggles
3.5*
So close, so close to being a 5* read and then in the final quarter, it turned into a bit of an author dissertation on how to treat people who fall under the TQ+ parts of the queer rainbow.
I get that they wanted to show how the actions of Gabe's stepdad and Tom's director had been awful and caused trauma, but it was laid on with a trowel rather than an exploration of a plot element.
I could see it coming from a mile away and it took away a lot of the power of the narrative.
Dave's slide into this world had, until this point, been handled really well, showing how easy it was for someone to become swayed by people around them who take advantage of vulnerability and prey on their fears.
It was also obvious something had happened on Tom's film set which had led to him stopping filming and heading to Devon Falls.
For me, it would have had more impact if it hadn't been more of the same - resulting in the 'preaching bit' about the oppression of trans, enby and other gender questioning people.
Which, of course, should be a given, and not something that needs saying, so I can appreciate the intention, just not the execution of the message.
Anyways, that's the moans out of the way. The relationship development between the three of them is the strongest in the series, it's beautifully done to show how seeing Tom with Gabe helps Colin unlock something in himself he'd always thought was missing.
They truly are an equal throuple, I never felt like any one of them was a third wheel or a second thought.
Even before Colin and Tom worked things out, there's still a connection between them that isn't because of Gabe, although he centres them sexually, and I loved that.
Again things sway into light kink, here it's more a very loose Dom/sub-ish situation with first Tom, but then Colin, moving into the control of their sexual encounters. It works well and totally fits with each character.
As I've said before, I love the small town location, I love the secondary characters and the friendship group that's formed in this series.
I also loved Gabe and Lou when they appeared in the previous book, and here they're even more adorable, especially six-year-old princess loving Lou.
The main plotline of Gabe's situation with Lou and his dad's absences and troubling behaviour, as I mentioned earlier, really worked for me right until the end.
But even then, I think it totally made sense for how Dave behaved and I've no complaints about that at all.
Now it seems Milo is up next, he's the last of the three doctor friends to get his story and there's been very little in the way of clues. So that's one to look forward to.

I'm loving this series so far and I was looking forward to Gabe's story and, even though it was nice and romantic, I found there was something missing.
Tom and Colin have been best friends forever. Tom has always been in love with Colin but he never said anything as his friend had never hinted he also had feelings for Tom. As for Colin, he didn't feel attracted to people as often as others did, he had dated some but he usually just had one-night stands. Colin only knew Tom was his person and he just wanted to spend his life with him.
As for Gabe, he was a young guy with a little brother he looked after because his stepfather was MIA and was a piece of sh*t. He was struggling with money and trying to avoid people finding out he was the one taking care of Lou, his brother.
I liked this book, really. The writing was great and I enjoyed reading it, but I didn't understand where the relationship between Tom, Colin and Gabe came from. I mean, sure there was attraction but it was a bit strange. Tom and Colin had never talked about being something more or being together and all of a sudden they both wanted to be a throuple with Gabe. I think I was mostly surprised about Colin. I would've bet he was asexual one second and the next he was all over Gabe and didn't mind getting sexy with his best friend either.
Also, I didn't feel the chemistry between the three men. They started spending time together at the renovations they offered to do at the Inn where Gabe worked but there was not much happening between them that could've led to developing feelings for each other. I got the impression that what Colin mostly felt was the need to protect Gabe and, as for Tom, I think he liked Gabe but especially the opportunity to have a relationship with his best friend at long last.
I had a few laughs with Gabe as he seemed to get involved in all sorts of funny situations. It was my favourite character because he was strong and determined to look after his brother and protect him at all costs from his father. Lou was a very special kid and Gabe just wanted him to be able to express himself as he wanted.
Overall, it was a good read with a nice story. What I was most interested was the situation with Lou's father and whether Gabe would get to keep his brother. I also liked how Tom and Colin supported the young guy and how they managed to become a family so beautiful and loving.

While this is sugary sweet and super cozy, there felt like there was something missing. Each of our characters, Gabe, Colin, and Tom, were interesting individually, but I didn't get much of the chemistry of Colin and Tom with Gabe. Honestly, I didn't feel all that invested in the romance itself, I was more interested in the storyline of Gabe and his younger brother, Lou. I also hoped for a little more of the quirky community of Devon Falls like we saw in the first two books of this series. All that said, I mostly enjoyed myself, and this is a super easy and sweet read. Overall, this is definitely not bad, but I did want a little more than what I got from the story.

This is the book I’ve been waiting for since I met the characters back in the previous book Forbidden in the Falls.
I absolutely adored Tom, Gabe and Colin’s romance. It was perfectly sweet and adorable, and I loved the fact that Tom and Colin gave Gabe and his little brother Lou the family that they needed and absolutely deserved.
So if you enjoyed the previous couples Jack and Benson Sam and Malachi, you’ll definitely enjoy these characters.

Oh boy I can even begin telling you how much I have loved this entire series. These 3 definitely stole my heart. The author has this amazing way of writing complete and complex people. She also writes LGBTQ stories in reality and based on individual truths and hardships with a huge undercurrent of cruelty that’s written so you feel the pain from others unnecessary unkindness’s. The authors writing is flawless and the words are so captivating, the plot had so many twists and turns and none that I was expecting, and many shockingly intimate I have become a huge fan of this author. The author writes with so much intensity and emotion pulled from each book it’s felt page after page. Some are quick witted story lines are so perfect and lets you believe you have a front row seat. So being able to read this love story didn’t disappoint. The authors ability to have two separate individuals struggling in their everyday life and try to navigate someone else’s thoughts, needs and desires was intense and gives all the fills.

This book has everything I love in a book. Then you add that it's beautifully written and believable. It is easily a five star read. Written in multiple POV this story flows so incredibly well that the next thing you know your 80% into the book and loving every second of it. The believable way the characters interact is perfect. Run, Hop, Jump or use your (1 click) finger to do whatever you have to do and get this amazing book. It'll break your heart, you'll want to scream with frustration and it'll let you discover that love just might conquer all. The chemistry is steamy and sweet and oh so romantic.

I’ve been so excited for this story since we met these characters in the last book! Gabe, Colin, and Tom’s story was everything you would want for them! Gabe has many secrets. He has been doing his best to take care of his brother while his stepdad leaves for periods of time for work. Truthfully, Gabe is glad Dave is gone as much as he is because the man he used to be before Gabe’s mom died, isn’t the man he is today. He’s mean and hurtful and how he speaks to Gabe and Lou isn’t acceptable. Gabe fears for the day Dave is back and takes Lou from him. He’ll do whatever he can to protect his six-year-old brother. Even if it means he can’t be who he is and go for something he wants. And that something may be two famous men that may have feelings for him the way he does for them. Tom has always had feelings for his best friend Colin but Colin has never shown that he feels the same. So he keeps it inside along with a secret about what is going on with his acting career. But meeting Gabe changes a lot for Tom. He is getting feelings for him too. And for Colin, his sexuality has never been clear and dealing with the grief of losing his brother for so long hasn’t helped. But Gabe sparks something back to life for him. And in doing so he is starting to realize that he may have missed something that has been in front of him this whole time. I adored these three and their story! The connection between them is undeniable and when they finally go for what they want, it is everything. I laughed so much with these three, because how can you not when Gabe is on the page? The three of them together balance one another out and I loved it! Great, great story! This world has been so much fun and I can’t wait for the next one!

Fanboy in the Falls is a warm hug of a queer love story. JE Birk takes a famous actor and a race car driver, and drops them into a Vermont winery where they meet the man who’s their perfect match.

Gabe loves his job at the winery; after all, it helps him take care of his younger brother Lou. But lately his crush on race car driver Colin and his BFF actor Tom keeps interfering with his ability to string sentences together around them. But after a fire at the winery, the three men work together to complete the renovations before the Devon Falls annual leaf festival. As they spend more time together, Gabe conquers his shyness and his attraction to both men takes on a life of its own. How can he keep his job, and take care of Lou while exploring all these feelings with the hottest men he’s ever met?
This story is truly a case of the characters sexual exploration bringing them closer together emotionally. There are plenty of steamy moments between Gabe, Colin, and Tom, and all are filled with consent, compassion, and kindness. Gabe is the sweetest, and he fits together perfectly with Tom’s dirty talk and Colin’s dominance.
Devon Falls is still my favorite queer version of Stars Hollow. It’s such a treat to see characters from earlier books in the series, even while this story easily works as a standalone. And for a story that focuses on heavier issues like homophobia and child neglect, it’s somehow sweet, cozy, and low angst.

I liked these characters. Each one is struggling with something but they provide the support and care that others need without hesitation. And each has their own moments:
Tom has some experience that he can share with both Colin and Gabe as they start exploring their sexuality. But he also has some troubles that he’s holding close, ones that he really needs to work thru. Not to mention long carried feelings for his bestie.
Colin is growly but with such a big heart for those he cares about. He’s a little lost after the death of his brother and the end of his career. And facing an attraction that he never imagined.
Gabe is so positive but hiding so much fear around his situation with his brother. His innocence, exuberance, and sunshiny outlook helps to bring both Colin & Tom out of themselves, forcing them to look at what they really want and need.
While it’s easy for both Tom & Colin to begin something with Gabe, it’s a lot harder for them to come to terms with what that actually means with each other. There’s a lot of history between them and a lot of assumptions that need to be looked at again. Throw in Gabe needing to find a way to keep his little brother (who is adorable) in a safe situation and it means that, while there isn’t a lot of angst, there is a lot of emotions swirling around them all. A lot that they need to face and work through. Together.
I don’t usually read why choose romances. (Is it still called that in the MMM sphere?) I don’t know why because it is very popular and obviously can be VERY hot. As such, I can’t really compare this to anything else in the genre but I can say I think I’ll be opening up my TBR a little to see what else I can find like it :)
Tom has some experience that he can share with both Colin and Gabe as they start exploring their sexuality. But he also has some troubles that he’s holding close, ones that he really needs to work thru. Not to mention long carried feelings for his bestie.
Colin is growly but with such a big heart for those he cares about. He’s a little lost after the death of his brother and the end of his career. And facing an attraction that he never imagined.
Gabe is so positive but hiding so much fear around his situation with his brother. His innocence, exuberance, and sunshiny outlook helps to bring both Colin & Tom out of themselves, forcing them to look at what they really want and need.

I need a moment to gather my thoughts. This whole series was such a roller coaster of emotions.
My heart broke for Gabe, Colin and Tom. They each had so much emotional baggage that held them back from moving forward.
Our poor baby Gabe had to grow up sooner than necessary to become his brother’s guardian. He had to do everything in his power to keep Lou safe against everything that threatened to break his beautiful soul.
Gabe needed to make sure that Lou would grow up to be his beautiful self and love the skin he was in. Just seeing how much Gabe was willing to sacrifice for his little brother was so special.
Then we have our Hollywood star, Tom who loved his best friend for years in silent. Wishing that someday he could have his heart. He almost gave up on that wish until Gabe came along and literally showed him he could have the love he deserved.
And then there’s Colin. Our beautiful car racer whose grieve pushed him into hiding. A grieve that consumed him so deeply that he could barely function. Until Gabe.
Just like everything he did, Gabe was the glue that put them all back together. Made them realize that they had something special and worth fighting for. He helped Colin figure himself out and helped Tom finally reveal his feelings for Colin.
While both Colin and Tom helped him understand that he deserved all the love in the world. The family and happiness he always wanted.
I loved this book so much. I loved how J. E. put equal amount of attention to each character. Giving them each their own way to express themselves and feelings on their own time. Not everyone can pull off writing MMM, but she definitely nailed it!

Tom, Colin, and Gabe's story is one that I won't forget anytime soon. Devon Falls is full of magic and has a way of bringing people together, and being that place where they fall in love. When Tom, Colin, and Gabe say "There's something in the air in Devon Falls", it's so accurate, there's just something about that town that is truly magical.
I've been waiting for Gabe's story ever since his character got tipsy at the opening of the Winery, he was just really interesting and I wanted to learn more. And guess what? I got to it this book!! My heart was breaking for Gabe and Lou after they both lost their mother and who they knew their stepdad/biological dad to be. It was beautiful to see the bond Gabe and Lou have with each other, and I just love Lou. He's so cute and adorable, he's free in a lot of ways others don't let themselves be and I think that's a really beautiful thing.
Tom and Colin frustrated me a little bit with how their romantic relationship came to be... Mainly because both men were a bit oblivious when it came to each other's romantic feelings, but having said that I do get why it was written the way it was. It made sense to have their moment drawn out a bit further. I liked these three men together, once they got out of their own way they made a really great unit, and I loved seeing each of these men fight for Lou.
I'm looking forward to more stories set in this wonderful town and now I'm off to read the bonus scene that's in the back of this book!

We are finally back in Devon Falls, the nice community with its Leaf Festival, where we always meet some nice people. And this time, we learn what happens to Gabe, and two superstars Tom, and Colin. We already met them in the previous book, and I was looking forward to reading their story.
Actually, at first, when I was reading the second book, I thought that there would have been something between Gabe and Tom, but then Colin joined the fun, and, well, it was fantastic!
These three men managed to find a balance in their lives together, and I loved the fact that Tom and Colin gave Gabe the family, and the love he really deserved.
I adored Gabe, the way he sacrificed his own life to take care of his little brother Lou. Between the three main characters, Colin is the most serious and, apparently, grumpy one, but that’s just because he’s still grieving his brother, and he’s confused about his identity.
Tom, on the opposite, is the flirty one, the man who seems taking everything as a joke, even if we know that it’s his way to hide his feelings for Colin. In fact, he’s been in love with his best friend his whole life.
Gabe’s arrival changes everything completely. There’s some chaos, spice, love, and, of course, the Devon Falls community, with the characters we already met in the previous books of this series.
I really enjoyed going back there, and I can only recommend not only this book, but the whole series!

I would like to thank GRR for the opportunity to read and review this ARC.
Fanboy in the Falls went a bit better for me than the last installment, but this was still missing that certain something that i'd found charming in Book 1. The romance was sexy and saccharine sweet, but i didn't really feel it/them emotionally. And I'm totally in the minority here but because of that I found myself flying through the sex scenes just to find out what was gonna happen with the Dave-Lou drama, which i WAS very invested in!
Not that the spice wasn't spicing, because -come on- throuple action is mega hot stuff and this book had loads of blush-worthy heat! But Birk also has a flair for the OTT plotty stuff and I really dig it. And Gabe's backstory really broke my heart, so I had no chill and chased what i wanted, which was resolution and vindication and forever safety for Gabe and Lou! And though that ending was sort of soft and anticlimactic ngl, this still had the perfect HEA for Gabe and Lou and that's all that really mattered!
I really hope Milo's book up next knocks it out of the park for me, because he's scrumptious to imagine and i still have all those lovely feelings for the series from Fauxmance in the Falls and i'd love it if that wasn't a one-off!

This was a cute, angsty small town romance about three sweet men that found themselves with the help and love of their partners.
Tom was my favorite person from this trio. He was so cute and love sick, I wanted to hug him so often! He was so incredulous at first, when he realized his dream came true and he finally found the love he wanted for so long.
While Colin was great too, there were moments when I just wanted to open his eyes and maybe shake him a bit. Gabe was sweet but I didn't vibe with him that much, to be honest. I didn't really like that Gabe was basically a pillow princess, I hoped he gets a little bit more active in their sex scenes but he was very passive tbh. His love for Lou (who is the sweetest btw) was very heartwarming though, loved to see the unconditional love between two brothers!
Ugh I love when they grow together as a family!
I was a bit annoyed that, at the first half of the book, nobody was really honest. So many unnecessary lies and secrets between them all. I was so relieved when they finally talked openly!
I was also bummed that we didn't really get character descriptions, the houses and rooms got way more detail than the characters! Basically no clue how any of them looked.
Loved to see the representation though! There was a bit of a talk about lgbtqia+ issues and they fought against injustices which is always great to see!

Like the previous books in the 'Devon Falls' series, this book is awesome! It's a MMM rom-com which, at first, didn't appeal to me. But J.E. Birk has crafted a wonderful throuple story.
I fell in love with Gabe and his little brother Lou immediately. What a rough life Gabe has had. Despite that, he remains upbeat and optimistic, especially for 6 year-old Lou's sake. He takes Lou's upbringing very seriously, while trying to nurture him and lets Lou be his authentic self.
Part owners of Northern Stars Winery and Inn famous movie star Tom Evers and famous race car driver Colin Templegate are lost (maybe a midlife crisis?) in their lives and careers. Both are each other's best friend since they were young boys.
Each man is secretly crushing on the other. After both older men meet 21 year-old Gabe, they are magnetically drawn to him, and each want to kiss him, among other things.
All through this, Gabe is struggling to ensure that Lou stays with him. The last thing Gabe wants is for Lou to be put into foster care. It's Gabe's biggest fear.
I tremendously enjoyed this book and avidly recommend it.

Sweetness, should be cherished and rewarded. Gabe, is left caring for his younger brother, Lou after his stepfather, Dave does a runner as soon as his Mother is buried. He struggles to maintain a safe loving home for Lou, who is an absolute delight. Lou, likes to wear tutus, MaryJanes and dresses. Gabe, secretly crushes on Colin and Tom even though he is a virgin. He lives with the spectre of his disapproving stepfather, Dave dreading his return and his plans for Lou. Colin, is a retired champion race car driver with a secret crush on his best friend, Tom. Tom, is a retired actor with baggage who is bisexual and secretly in love with his best friend, Colin. They team up to restor the Inn after a fire. As they work together, get to know each other, they each slowly find the courage to express themselves. Good story of sacrifice, honor, friendships, looking inward, owning one's truth and having the courae to reach out a hand and grab what is offered. The author does an amazing job working through sexual awakenings and emotional development and the courage to speak up. Asolutely delightful men and great friends. Hot cover art, well done! I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This was a heartwarming addition to the series. Gabe has taken on the role of guardian for his younger brother, trying to be a parent and manage a household while his half-sibling’s father is absent. He loves his job at the winery, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t struggling to make ends meet and meet the needs of his brother, despite the fact that he has tons of support within the community. If anything, he is fearful that his brother may be taken away if anyone finds out how absent Lou’s father really is. Working at the winery gives him the opportunity to see the two men he is crushing on, race car driver Colin and actor Tom. The two men are best friends and are denying their own feelings for one another. After a devastating fire, the trio decides to renovate the winery themselves to get it open before the Devon Falls leaf festival. Working together and getting to know each other allows feelings to deepen and strengthen between all three men. Thank goodness Gabe can count on these men and his community to have his back. This was a HEA I have been looking forward to since Gabe first showed up on page as a secondary character. I’m so happy to have cheered these three on!

This was super cosy, sweet, and a breeze to read — like curling up with a warm blanket in the queerest little Stars Hollow imaginable. Devon Falls remains such a delight, and I loved seeing characters from the earlier books pop in.
Gabe, Colin, and Tom were all interesting on their own: Gabe with his sunshiny positivity (despite a lot of hidden fear about caring for his brother Lou), Colin with his gruff exterior and big heart, and Tom with his playful dirty talk masking deeper hurts. I did wish I felt a bit more of their chemistry together — at times I was more invested in Gabe and Lou’s storyline than the romance itself.
Still, there’s something really lovely about watching these three explore their attraction and emotional needs together. It’s tender, full of consent and care, and low on angst despite tackling things like homophobia, grief, and child neglect. And it definitely opened me up to wanting to try more MMM/why choose romances.
Overall, it’s a soft, steamy, low-drama story about three men finding unexpected joy and love together. If you want a small town queer romance that’s easy on the heart, this is a great pick.

Another year passes, and it's time for another leaf festival (I assume it's a year because Sam & Malachai get married at the end of this book). This time it's Gabe's turn to find love, and he finds it with both Colin, the former race car driver, and Tom, the actor. There are lots of side characters, mostly people we've met in the first 2 books, so you're going to want to read those books first (I suppose it's not entirely necessary, but those books are great, so don't pass them by).
The plot revolves around Gabe's attempt to get custody of his young brother, who he's basically raising because the father is never home. The father is also severely homophobic and dislikes almost everything about both of them. There's also the rebuilding of several rooms at the inn (where Gabe works) because of a fire. And then there's the question about why Tom got fired from his movie. Lots of stuff going on - all of it interesting.
Loved this book, enjoyed the plot and the characters, and am really looking forward to more in this series.

This was the first book in this series I have read and it worked perfectly fine as a stand-alone but I would have definitely gotten some more of the references had I read the previous books.
I love a good poly story and while this one wasn't bad it didn't catch me as much as others have. All three main characters were interesting and likeable but I felt like we learned way more about Gabe than the other two. Their relationship felt kind of imbalanced as well. While I got the friends' attraction to Gabe and vice versa I felt like something was missing in their relationsip with each other - like some vital communication was never shown on page. In General, I would have loved to see some more of the individual relationships inside the triad. Maybe that's why I could never really get behind this pairing.
That does not mean I didn't enjoy the story. The romance part was sweet and I really rooted for Gabe and his little brother. The set of found family is great and I enjoyed the community and positivity in this little town. Sometimes we need stories without too much drama.

I don't normally read M/M/M, but these characters were comforting and I enjoyed spending time with them. I did sometimes confuse Colin and Tom, since both were famous and rich and had similar character voices. The perspective for each chapter is determined by who's quoted at the beginning -- once I figured that out, it was easier to keep track.
I'm not a big fan of plots that happen only because a character won't reveal key information, and that does happen here. Gabe stays quiet about his fears for his younger brother far longer than I would have liked. (The brother's father, his stepfather, is a bigot and queer-unfriendly, CW.)
I was also somewhat disappointed that that plot, which I kept reading to watch unfold, was ultimately handled so quietly. Tom's challenge similarly is mostly resolved off-screen, which was disappointing as well. I guess the overall mix of romance, drama, and plot twists didn't quite jell for me the way I would have hoped.

Both Colin and Tom can admit that they're attracted to Gabe, and that they're not really jealous of the other's relationship with him, opening themselves to possibilities also sheds light on a long time crush, a best friends to lovers opportunity and helps them create their forever family in a way that supports both Gabe and his sibling, Lou!
For me, Lou steals the show - so authentically themselves and so loved and protected by Gabe, the romance is lovely, but the family story is what tugged at my heartstrings. Don't get me wrong, the progression from bosses/besties and employee to lovers totally rocks and gives you all the steamy goodness that comes with MMM romance, mixed with just the right amount of anxiety and angst, but if you don't finish the book loving the whole found family and community support of Lou, you need to go back and re-read this book!

I love this series and book three is best thus far. I feel hard for these three men, each harboring secrets and each made better by the other. Gabe is trying to stay under the radar, working his job at winery, taking care of his little brother. Staying under the radar allows him to protect and keep his little brother. Suddenly his life is thrown into a twist when two famous men, Collin the former race car driver and Tom the movie star, show up in his small Vermont town bringing out feelings that might get him in trouble. Tom and Collins are besties but suddenly have are working with Gabe to repair the winery after a fire. Suddenly feelings are coming out that were unexpected. Love that all three men are very different, Gabe is sweet, kind, and compassionate: Tom has a dirty side, and Collin like to dominate and be in charge. Yet they make the perfect couple. Expect great dialogue and story along with some heavy steam. A great read. I did receive this ARC and leave this honest review.

I really enjoyed this one! The support from the small town community is just wonderful and I was way in my feels by the end of the book. One of my favorite tropes is best friends to lovers. I also really enjoy when characters are raising younger siblings, so this book was a win win for me! I love the connection Colin and Tom had from years of friendship. Gabe was such a ray of sunshine and I really enjoyed his character as well. I really enjoyed Gabe's commitment to caring for Lou. Lou's unique sense of self-expression was wonderful to see. I would recommend this book/series to anyone who loves the small town, lower angst books. (I stated both book 2 and 3 were low angst and while I still believe that, I wanted to mention that there are still heavier topics mentioned. I just personally found them low angst.)

Fanboy in the Falls is the third book in J.E. Birk's Devon Falls series, and this go-around, we've got an M/M/M romance featuring two longtime besties and the fanboy who's got a lot on his plate--so what's adding a couple of complications to it, right? Twenty-one-year-old Gabriel Gomez is the aforementioned fanboy who is grateful for his first ever fulltime job at Northern Stars Winery's inn, what with him taking care of his six-year-old brother, Lou. Colin Templegate and Thomas Evers are longtime best friends, the former being a retired race car driver and the latter a famous film actor--and the two men Gabe has been crushing on for quite some time. Tom has been pining over his best friend for far longer than he'd care to admit, but Colin has never shown interest in anyone...until Gabe enters the picture. The last thing Gabe needs is for his already complicated life to become even more chaotic, especially when he has Lou's welfare to consider, but Colin and Tom are turning out to be a couple of distractions that Gabe needs.
I confess that when it comes to romances that involve throuples, it takes a bit for me to get into it. My skepticism--and my black heart--makes me wary about believing that three people can love each other in equal measure. But J.E. Birk has crafted a story about three very different men who made sense to be together. While Colin and Tom have been in each other's lives for what feels like forever, it wasn't as easy as one would assume for them to make the progress from friends to lovers. It took an unlikely someone in the person of Gabe for things to work out, maybe not seamlessly, but then it's the things we have to work for that mean the most. The usual suspects were present, but it was Lou who was truly the shining star in this story, and the love Gabe--and later, Colin and Tom--had for him was so darn heartwarming. I honestly thought Fanboy in the Falls was going to be the series closer, but I certainly wouldn't say "no" to more from the folks in Devon Falls and whatever they have to offer. I'm giving this four out of five stars.

There was so much to like about this story. Starting with Gabe and all the things he is willing to do to take care of his brother Lou. Gabe is so loving and nurturing with Lou. And the relationship between Colin and Tom and how being in Devon Falls helped them to see things between them in a way that they had not allowed themselves to in all the time they knew one another and spent together. This trio of guys find their way through a series of connections and connections realized over the course of this story in a way that is to the benefit of them all and to the benefit of Lou. This was such a good and somewhat emotional story.

This was just a perfect book. Colin, Tom, and Gabe were perfect for each other. And if Gabe hadn’t been there, I don't think Tom and Colin would have confessed their feelings for each other. Though I wished there were more one-on-one moments between them, even while all three were together. But overall, it was such an amazing book.
I'm glad there was no stupid breakup or misunderstanding. I really love their communication. And I absolutely loved Lou. He was so cute and little. I also loved the fact that Gabe's stepfather drama was resolved in a mature way.

I love this author and was excited to read this next installment of Devon Falls!
Gabe was my favorite and the side story about him and Lou was great, I was routing for Dave to get a taste of his own medicine!
While I love the best friends to lovers trope, I just struggled to feel the chemistry between Colin and Tom. I can't put my finger on it but it was missing the spark between them. I did think the renovation of the inn was odd and really I dont think it added anything to the story personally. The bonus epilogue was hilarious and sweet so winner there.
I'm glad I read this book and received an ARC for my honest review. I hope the next book has more chemistry is all.

Gabe is the best parent and guardian for the sweet young Lou. Gabe's past taught him that even the person that loved him could abandon him. So how could he trust that should another dire situation happen, others would step up to save him and his brother?
Everyone deals with grief differently, and Colin wasn't any better when his brother died. Tom, his best friend was a solid presence in his time of grief. Yet even the famous actor had his own struggles and secrets.I'm glad my imagination turned out to be worse when it came to Tom's career.
