Irene Jorgensen was that kid in class who secretly read books while the teacher was talking. A few decades later, she realized she had some stories of her own to share — the cozier, the better. Ever fascinated by people and their motivations, Irene’s writing brings together a mishmash of her favourite things: friendship, justice, personality profiling, shadow work…and the TV show Psych. A born-and-bred Canadian, Irene lives in southern Ontario with her Cornish Rex cats Razzle, Annie and Shadow. Their antics frequently end up on the pages of her books.

Check out this book but first you must read Clare Lockhart's book Tinsel Tragedy for it is the 1st book of The Christma Whodunnit Series. This book book 2 and then it is back to Clare Lockhart with Festival Folly. This book was really in depth, Lucy is kind of upset that her friend Juliet has solved a Murder. That is what they used to do together and she kind of feels left out. Being a Santa's Helper is something she enjoys as she gets to write the children who have sent in letters to Santa. One in particular has her feeling down because the child did not leave their name or address and all thus child asked for was to see his Uncle Boone. Lucy heard some of her co-workers talking about what happened last year but never got any idea of what they were talking about but she was interested in knowing, no one would talk about. She was determined she would find the answers somehow but she did not know it would get so in depth. At this point I would like to say check out this book and follow along with everything Lucy had to do to get to the bottom of this mystery. Happy reading. I am grabbing Festival Folly out of pile of my books to see what they will be up to next.

MISTLETOE MISDEED

'Tis the season to start the countdown to Christmas since Thanksgiving is done. So I am reading all the books I collected last month with the Christmas theme. An Irene Jorgensen holiday 'Hijinx Cozy' hits the spot, starting with a letter to Santa that touches the heart of our mystery solving PI-want-to-be. Thus begins the process of looking into a case the police think is already solved (with the wrong man in jail). A heart warming conclusion doesn't seem likely, but it's soon to be Christmas, so we (the characters and readers alike) keep hoping and expecting! Join us and read this book!

cozy and lovely

This is second book in the Holiday Hijonx series answered the questions I had while reading the first one. The story focuses on Lucy, the other member of the duo who fled bad guys hunting for them in California, ending up in northern Ontario working at a resort. Good atmosphere, likable characters, and a worthwhile mystery to solve make this a fun, cozy holiday read.
