Running on Empty: Diary of a Marathon Mum

Rate this book
Julia Williams was a serial non-runner. To her the words Fun and Run in the same sentence were complete anathema. And as a busy mum of four she didn't have time to run. And that was how she would have stayed until the day her twin sister rang her up to ask her if she wanted to run the London Marathon. Julia should have said no. She meant to say no. Every fibre of her being was crying out to say, no!!! Which is why of course, she said, yes, and found herself setting off on the toughest challenge of her life, to turn herself into a marathon mum...

this book is so inspirational for anyone wanting to have a go at races and not just marathons. Julia Williams shows you how it's possible to achieve anything you set your heart on with a bit of determination. Will read this again and again.
