For a debut novel this is a very good book. I found it jumped around too quickly at times but the story was very engaging and I'm curious to read the second book when it comes out.

Good read mixing the magic of the Fae, Norse mythology, modern Earth and lead in edge science.

3.5 stars. I have to say that it started off holding my attention. I thought the different POV was nice, but I felt at times it could have been a smoother transition between the Characters POV. The character/world building took most of this book, and the story started to get interesting at the end. Now I have to wait for book 2.

I LOVED IT. I am disappointed that Book 2 isn't out yet. I can't wait to keep reading the story. I love the crossover between human and non human - the mix of royalty and not..it's all just wonderful and Im dying to continue the story. I do love the storyline surrounding Vetus and Freydis. I can't wait to see how that plays out. I also really want Rowan and Freydis together. I CAN NOT WAIT FOR BOOK 2.

Magnificent! I love this story! Fae, Gods, humans, what more can you ask for? (I am sure it will come in the next book.) Beautifully written, easy to read and become immersed in this world.

The book started off a little confusing while I was working out just exactly was going on with Freydis. The elements of a good plot were there but I just didn’t connect with the characters, and once Marcus started talking about his experiment, then I started getting a bit wary. I felt that there was some more depth needed for the characters but that could just be my preference. I had to stop reading at about 75% when Marcus started getting really creepy (heading towards horror rather than plain awfulness) and Freydis was about to be experimented on because of who she is (which was yet to be fully explained at that point). I was drawn in by the summary but just didn’t end up being my cup of tea.

My inlaws gave us a signed copy of the book at Easter dinner. I really enjoyed this book. I like a good read that keeps me intrigued to continue to completion, lol. The storylines kept you wanting more. I liked that there were different storylines in between the story. I am looking forward to reading Book Two of The Enaid Chronicles. I need to know more about Freydis and the Gods.

Overall I enjoyed the book! It was well written and had a nice mix of fantasy and modern day life. I also enjoyed the few unexpected plot twists. My only critique is that at times the multiple character story lines felt rushed.
