Audiobook: I was horrified by the knowledge that this short piece provided about this place. It surprised me that there was a prison where the inmates were supposed to be rehabilitated through the use of solitary confinement. Even while driving by a prison, I have often felt like there was a dark air surrounding the facility, so it didn't surprise me that this place was so haunted. I thought the digital voice Mary G was fine as her performance was easy to understand. I was given a copy of the audiobook. I volunteered, without financial gain, to post this review which reflected my honest opinions regarding this audiobook.
Eastern State Penitentiary (GKP Most Haunted Places Series Book 5), my seventeenth read from author Grant Kelly. An enjoyable 27-page short read. “I received a complementary Kindle copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review." The gifting of this book did not affect my opinion of it. I look forward to reading more from this author with Shadows of Hotel Kurrajong next on my TBR list. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).
First off, I was really put off knowing that AI was used in the work because, really, how much of the book did "it" write? While the subject was interesting, there were a LOT of repetitive words and phrases. But I suppose the most off putting was the pricing! Over $AU6 for under 30 pages. 🤯 I worked out that for the whole 1st series of 12 books the cost was $AU75.60 for 324 pages!! Christ even Stephen King doesn't ask that much. So, it's a big, fat "NOPE" from me.
