How much trouble could one woman be?Graham Everett is about to find out.
His best friend’s gorgeous new employee may be the one thing between Graham and his rightful place at the top of Manhattan’s elite, but he isn’t worried. He’s pretty sure he can bring any woman to her knees. Even her.

Juliet Rivera is not impressed.
With the state of men, generally. But, more specifically, Graham Everett and his playboy nonsense. It’s all under control, though. She’s not worried. She can handle anything. Even him.
The man clearly has no idea who he's dealing with.

I mean who doesn’t love a boss’s best friend/workplace enemies-to-lovers romance?

Juliet is so sassy I LOVE it. When we get to know her more throughout the book we realize she’s mainly trying to fake it till she makes it and if that isn’t extremely relatable well good for you!
Graham is dealing with SO much and I loved getting to explore and know him more in this book!

Together they are always fighting but that fighting quickly turns into something else, and don’t worry there’s plenty of steam!
But it’s amazing because Juliet learns and realizes she doesn’t have to be scared of falling in love, and that sometimes just having someone in your corner is worth everything!

“Fight about it forever.”

I will say chapter 63 (and Grahams next chapter 64) is one of my favorites!

I loved getting more snippets of Grayson and Ella and of course I’m excited for Marco’s story!!

I was beyond lucky to ARC read this!

Wow. Graham’s and Juliet's story is one of my favorite books I have read this year!!!

Juliet, Marco’s (Graysons bodyguard) cousin, was hired as one of Graysons lawyers for Stryker and Sons. She is full of sass and has a great head on her shoulders. She has worked hard to get where she is, and is working even harder to help get her mom a green card. Her mom lives in Columbia, and because of her past, it is almost impossible to acquire a green card for her.

Graham, who we were introduced to in For Always as Grayson’s best friend, is working towards leaving his fathers business to make a name for himself. When Juliet catches him one day in the elevator of Stryker & Sons checking her out and then saying something inappropriate, she smacks him in the face. Unfortunately, he also happens to be in her first meeting that morning… and she will be working with him for the next week to create a contract for Graham

Juliet’s work is so great, that Graham ends up confiding in her as his lawyer and hiring her to help him get his new business off the ground. Their attraction is way too strong to be ignored and Juliet knows she is in trouble. But Juliet has one rule, she will only sleep with someone once. But will that be enough for Graham?

The tension between Grahamand Juliet is insane. I was afraid after they finally gave into their temptation I might lose interest in the story, but it just made the story even better. There were so many twists and turns throughout this novel, and just raw vulnerable passion.

Being able to keep going with Grayson and Ella’s story in the background was so nice. I appreciated still being able to see their journey and go through other struggles they might be going through.

I LOVED this novel and have been thinking about it ever since I read it. I did not see Juliet and Graham’s story coming when I finished For Always, so I can’t wait to see who she writes about next.

Graham is a ladies' man who can get any woman he wants until he crosses paths with the most stunning woman he's ever seen. Unfortunately for him, Juliet has zero interest in a pretty boy who can't keep his eyes off her chest and would rather cut him off at the knees. Unbeknownst to them, they're about to be thrown together in a work project that will see tensions rising and heated looks flying.

*****

This was such a fun and engaging read. I adored how Juliet not only had a single-minded focus to support those she loved but also had a mouth full of sass and ruthless banter for Graham. Her being an absolute badass who had to be pushed to let go and be soft was so relatable. I loved seeing her slowly understand her own emotions, as well as rage back against anyone who tried coddling her.

Graham, being the pretty boy player who fell hard for her stubborn and cool exterior, and saw her for the complexity and strength she held, just hit perfectly. Seeing how messed up both of their lives were, and how they were tossed into trying to figure out who they were alone and together with everyone's else's dynamics at play, kept me constantly grabbing this book and voraciously devouring it.

The only part that I didn't really enjoy was how quickly their relationship developed at the very end of the book. That felt like a giant progression that wasn't completely in line with both characters, but it wasn't as jarring as it should have been, so I still loved the book overall.

If you want a strong, clever, independent FMC and a witty, complex, guarded MMC who would do anything for her, grab this one! You won't be disappointed.

I absolutely loved this book, the characters, spice and the storyline. The way the main characters bicker and banter, told from both POV, is hilarious and sexy. The author does an awesome job with giving the main characters just enough vulnerability to make them real, while also giving them traits that are not so great that they need to overcome. I get lost in Ari’s books...and I want to stay in them.

This week I’m reading about powerful, smart, strong Latina women, and it’s been great. Juliet is all of the aforementioned, plus extremely determined to work her current job for five years so she has good references and a good bank account when she moves on to immigration law, where her heart lies. When she meets Graham in the elevator and he behaves like a tool, she (rightfully) lets her temperament get the better of her - until they realise they’re on the way to the same meeting and have to work together. Graham is intrigued, but Grayson takes one look at him and tells him no - not that Graham ever had the intention to listen.

Their chemistry is undeniable. They’re so hot together, like dynamite and a match, but the explosion is wonderful. I loved how much they love each other, and how much they are loved by those around them. Abuela is an amazing woman and I really hope she’ll have as beautiful of a role in Marco’s story (which I am also very hyped about)! They really got the happily ever after they deserved and it fit them so well.

I'm loving this series so much! This is the second book in the Star-Crossed City series, and this book follows Juliet and Graham. They are the perfect example of hate to love! From the moment they met, their relationship was rocky! Ari Wright gave us a not-so-meet-cute between these two! And it had me chuckling! Cocky Graham and feisty BAD*SS Juliet was so much fun to read about!

Ari Wright gave us her classic vulnerable moments, which is a favorite of mine when it comes to her writing. She has the ability to take a character and make them so strong to the outside world, but when it comes to the relationship between the MCs, it's beautifully vulnerable! Graham and Juliet are each battling with their own struggles, and the way these two come together, driven by attraction and hate, is explosive. And so much fun to read about. I loved the push and pull. Honestly, I devoured it.

“I hate you.”
“I have never hated anyone this much,” he agrees, resuming our kiss.

If you're looking for an explosive hate to love, this book is for you!!!

Y'all know I love good enemies to lovers, and Ari did not disappoint with this one! We have Juliet, our fiery and boss b*tch FMC, and then there's Graham, who isn't quite what he appears to be. There was a perfect mix of chemistry and tension between them, along with some great banter! I also appreciate the cultural representation that Ari includes in her stories.

This was such a fun story! I loved how independent Juliet is and how hard she worked to take care of the people in her life!

The not so meet cute between her and Graham was so perfect and I loved that we saw Juliet's fiery personality early on!

Graham was such a fun character and I loved seeing his growth throughout the book! There was the perfect amount of mystery/ what's going to happen next to keep me hooked and I had a hard time putting the book down!

I can't wait for the next book in the series!

This is the second in The Instant Always series and is my favorite! As much as I love Grayson and Ella, the tension and raw connection Graham and Juliet shared had me hooked. This couple is fire with their banter. I enjoyed all the twists and turns throughout that kept me flipping the pages. But I have to say, a side character truly shined in this. Abuelita stole my heart and I loved the family dynamics that were added to the story. Both Juliet and Graham, have vastly different upbringings but are equally interesting. I’m looking forward to the next book in the series!

This was a good, character driven romance. I liked the opposites attract dynamic and how the more Juliet and Graham got to know each other, the more they realized they had in common. They’re both successful, driven, and hardworking people but from completely different backgrounds.

The representation of Juliet’s heritage and how much her upbringing as an immigrant from Colombia was done really well imo. I really liked how Graham also was made to see how privileged he is and how strong Juliet is with everything she’s going through.

Always adore when mmc falls first and oh man did Graham fall first and HARD! He was down bad for Juliet and her sassy brain so fast it was great. Their passion was fire as well and I loved how their banter only fueled their chemistry.

Overall, it was a little long and definitely could have been under 400 pages imo. But I liked the character growth from both main characters and the HEA was perfect so can’t knock it more than a star.

Thank you to the author & The AuthorAgency PR for e-ARC. Review is my own honest opinion.

Omg I absolutely loved this booook!!! This one had me laughing, tearing up and wanting to yell at the characters. This is the first contemporary romance I’ve read by Ari and omg chef’s kiss! 🥹

I absolutely loved their “meet-cute” 😉 and I was trapped in the story since page 1! Seeing Juliet’s journey throughout the book and just the love she has for her family?? Absolutely beautiful! Also, Graham… I love my crazy suit freak of an MMC, no one can pull off the suits like him indeed. I think my favorite part about these two is how in sync they were. They knew without words what the other needed and it was absolutely adorable reading them fall for each other.

Like all of Ari’s books that I’ve read, the MMC is obsessed and smitten with his woman and it’s freakin adorable. He’d literally kiss the ground she walked on I feel. They’re also not afraid to call each other out and I love that the most. 🥹 I also loved the way they push each other to be their best self and the reassurances are top tier. 💙

Thank you for another glorious book Ari, I loved it and can’t wait to read the next book in the series! 🥹 This is part of an interconnected standalone series, if you don’t mind spoilers you can read them out of order! I def haven’t read the first book but I loved the glimpses into the lives of those characters 🥹 so cute!!

I absolutely adored For Ever. I haven't read the first book in this series, but I absolutely will be doing so very soon.

Graham and Juliet's banter was top tier. While I didn't necessarily buy the "forbidden romance" aspect of this story, I bought the enemies-to-lovers subplot, which is somewhat rare for me when it comes to contemporary romance.

Juliet's plight as a Colombian woman and all the difficulties immigrants face was very responsibly and carefully written—and I think very, very timely. I loved the dynamic between her and her family, especially how she stood up to her father, and I also loved how Graham and eventually Christian slotted into the dynamic when the time was right. Speaking of Christian, his storyline was also very compassionately handled and he was quite a lovable character despite what he was going through.

I found the spice to be well-written and not super repetitive. However, I agree with others that the scene with the pot rack was difficult—read: impossible—to imagine, and the improbability of it completely took me out of the scene lmao.

Overall, I adored this book, these characters, and Wright's writing a lot!

I wasn’t really sure if I would like these two…
Graham seemed pretty extra as a side character in For Always…he definitely redeemed himself because how could you not love him

Then you have Juliet…that woman was raised a queen….she is definitely stronger than most her age…she would never be a damsel in distress….the picture of “I don’t need a man in my life so if you are in it it’s only because I wanted you there”….you have got to love that

I love them…it didn’t take long before they both stole a piece of my heart…we all need a Graham in our lives…he will do whatever it takes to help out the ones he loves….the same can be said about Juliet but sometimes it takes her a minute to put all of the pieces into place
This is part of an interconnected series…you do not have to read the first book but if you read them out of order there will be spoilers…besides Grayson & Ella were a ton of fun too
& I am pretty excited to see what happens with the MMC in the next book

I loved this, so much. Grant is rough around the edges, and admittedly a total sleeze. Jules is a lawyer on a mission to help her family the best way she can, with money. The two are inevitably thrown together in a professional setting that is sure to be the death of one of them. Or both. Who knows.

Jules can't believe she has to work with this guy, and Grant is just hoping to get by without her catching on that he's so turned on he can barely function. They work together really well, and that leads to some moments that are questionable professionally, but so, so right personally.

This was such a great rollercoaster of events for the two characters. They each have their own past with baggage, and they each have their issues with intimacy. But watching them tumble together and figure out that this is different was so, so good!

I am in constant awe of Ari! Truly. Each of her books has the EXACT perfect combination of silly and serious, and sweet and sexy.

Graham f**king Everett. The man that you are. I should know better by now than to doubt Ari. Graham at the beginning of this book gave me a bit of the ick! I thought “there’s no way Ari can turn him around” but ohhhhh boy was I wrong. Graham is an absolute simp for Juliet and I am an absolute simp for Graham 😂

Juliet is my hero. This girly has been through some shhh in her life. But she is standing tall, taking care of business, helping her family, trying to keep everyone together. I love her relationship with her Abuela. I love that she is sexy and so smart. I love that we are on this journey with her to discover what different types of love can look like.

Just obsessed with this series. Can’t wait to devour more!

I absolutely love a good enemies to lovers story, and this one delivered in every way. Juliet and Graham’s first meeting was a disaster, leaving Juliet thoroughly unimpressed. Graham, the confident playboy, is used to getting any woman he wants, but Juliet is different. She’s determined, focused on helping her family, and has no interest in a wealthy, stereotypical rich guy like him. However, when circumstances force them to work together, the banter and tension between them are electric. As they spend more time together, they begin to see past their first impressions and uncover the depth in each other. Along the way, they face obstacles that test their relationship, but watching them navigate those challenges is so satisfying. If you’re a fan of enemies to lovers stories with amazing chemistry and sharp, witty banter, this is a must read!

Minor spoiler below

For Ever by Ari Wright is the first book in a long time that made want to throw my book. I had it gripped, my arm cocked and ready to toss when, thankfully, I remembered I was reading on a Kindle.

Some authors stick to the same formula no matter what type of romance they write. There is one author that I know, without a doubt, at precisely 75%, there is a breakup and I will briefly hate the hero(s).

For Ever is not an Omegaverse romance, which is how I know Wrights writing. It is a contemporary romance. Still. I thought I was in the clear when I hit 75%.

It was at 80% that I tried to kill my Kindle. What happened is completely in character for Juliette. What happens to her after is also in character.

Still made me want to chuck it. Then devour it to see what happens next.

There is a lesson in here somewhere.

1.      It’s ok to change it up sometimes.

2.      A reader will follow a favorite author almost anywhere.

PS—just to be above board I did receive an ARC for this book for my honest review.

Such an amazing book!
The chemistry and sexual tension was crazy!
You can’t help smirking and grinning like a fool the whole way through!
And the banter and spice was unmatched!

Graham Everett has been knocked off balance the moment his eyes feasted on boss bitch Juliet Rivera! And she’s a total knockout who could quite possibly knock him out in there first encounter 😉

It’s a MUST READ!!!!!!

This book was soooo good!! It was a bit slow in the beginning but once it progressed it kept getting better and I loved the characters!! This was so adorable and really hit my heart!

Graham and Juliet were too cute and I love their banter, it was totally fitting how their book concluded they both are stubborn and know each other very well.

I can’t wait for the third book that follows Marco, Juliet’s cousin!!

First of all…Ari's writing has honestly made me a life time fan! They have a bit of everything from quirkiness all the way to the spice we love

The hint of a "meet-cute" at the start had me audibly laugh & honesty just set the tone for me for the rest of the book. The dynamics honestly between all the character (especially Juliet & Graham) made me feel like I was really diving into the space

The fact that time was not wasted rushing through & Ari actually embraced and let us learn about Juliet, her family and cultural/immigrant experience just made me feel almost more connected in a few different ways (to Ari’s writing & Juliet as our FMC). Graham is just our delicious MMC that has a bit of a reality check lesson to learn & Juliet puts him in his place 😈

All in all. This book had it all: character growth, banter, chemistry, spice, real connections and a lot more!!
I can’t wait to dive into more of Ari’s works!!

Big Thank you to Ari and @The Author Agency for gifting me this ARC & letting me get everyone obsessed!

Star: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.25

Ari Wright's For Ever is a delightful and witty tale that pairs sharp banter with sizzling chemistry, delivering a romantic escapade through the cutthroat world of Manhattan’s elite. The story unfolds as Graham Everett, a self-assured playboy, meets his match in Juliet Rivera, a fiercely independent woman who refuses to be charmed by his usual tactics. What follows is a battle of wits, pride, and undeniable attraction, making for a truly entertaining read.

Graham’s journey from cocky entitlement to vulnerability is as compelling as Juliet’s steadfast determination to remain unfazed by his charms. Ari Wright crafts a narrative that alternates between their perspectives, offering insight into their individual lives and the motivations that drive their sparring dynamic. Juliet’s disdain for Graham’s overconfidence and her ability to call out his antics without hesitation make her a refreshing heroine who is easy to root for.

The dialogue is one of the book’s standout features. Graham and Juliet’s interactions are laced with quick, cutting humour that keeps the story lively and engaging. Ari Wright masterfully balances the push-and-pull dynamic of their relationship, ensuring the tension builds naturally without feeling forced or overly contrived. Each interaction between the two characters adds depth, peeling back layers of who they are beneath the personas they project.

The setting of Manhattan’s high society acts as more than just a backdrop, highlighting the stakes for Graham as he fights for his place among the elite. Ari Wright explores themes of ambition, identity, and self-worth, weaving them seamlessly into the romance. The characters’ personal growth is as rewarding as their eventual connection, making the story feel as much about individual discovery as it is about falling in love.

While the romance genre often walks a fine line between cliché and originality, For Ever manages to feel fresh and exciting thanks to Ari Wright’s engaging prose and the authenticity of the protagonists’ journey. The book's pace is brisk, though there are moments when the focus on Manhattan’s social scene slightly overshadows the emotional stakes. However, this doesn’t detract from the overall enjoyment of the story.

For Ever is a charming blend of humour, romance, and personal growth that will leave readers smiling. Juliet and Graham’s chemistry is electric, their banter is razor-sharp, and their eventual connection is deeply satisfying. Ari Wright has created a romance that feels modern and grounded, a testament to the power of love to disarm even the most guarded hearts. This is a must-read for fans of witty, enemies-to-lovers stories.

It has been a long time since I read a story where the guy fell first as hard as Graham did, but I sincerely enjoyed this story and wish I could go back and read it again.

This story had everything- humor from both MC's and even the supporting cast (Abuelita was my absolute favorite supporting character and she wasn't even present for a lot of the story!) What I loved most of all was the journey that Graham and Juliet went on to fall in love with each other. Both came from extremely different worlds full of their own levels of hurt, neither really interested in anything with each other more than the physical (at least in the beginning). As time goes on, however, they both realize that they have this uncanny ability to push each other in ways that only strengthen them as individuals in ways that neither could have ever anticipated.

I loved seeing them both fight their attraction to each other all while realizing that falling for each other wasn't at detrimental as they both originally anticipated, especially Juliet. Her life had been so full of hurt with the abandonment that she experienced, it was really nice to see her begin to realize that she didn't have to close her heart off to everything that could be permanent in her life for fear of being hurt again. I also really enjoyed seeing the chemistry between both Graham and Juliet. Right from the beginning, you knew that there was something between both of them and to get to see them interact with each other, especially in those heated moments, was really fun. I loved seeing both of them take and give up control. Both are such strong headed, independent individuals it was nice to see them become comfortable with each other and their growing relationship to gain that story of dynamic.

I also really enjoyed the underlying story of deceit and mistrust on Graham's side from his father. That man was certainly a piece of work and I, for one, am not upset at how his story ended. He seemed like a real jerk from the beginning, especially when you find out that he was less than willing to atone for his actions from his younger days and was more than okay with punishing his other son just for being born. I loved getting to see Graham do what his father should have- step up to the plate to give his half brother everything he deserved but was denied because of the affair. I think it should a different, richer side to Graham that shaped his character the most.

I loved this story and 100% think that anyone who loves romance with drama and funny moments should pick this up- it is a perfect read to get you into the Valentine's day spirit!

Book Review: For Ever by Ari Wright

I absolutely love this series For Always was utter perfection! And this one is absolutely 💯 the same!! It’s my pick for Want More Wednesday!!! Because I want more of this series!! This book is going into my fave book list!!

This story is about Graham Grayson’s best friend and Juliet and it’s absolutely phenomenal.

Juliet or (bijou his nickname for her 🫠) is Marco’s cousin. If you don’t remember from book one he is Grayson’s bodyguard. She is a fiery, black cat energy, but with a cinnamon roll inside. She’s been hurt and is guarded. She’s a lawyer who is tirelessly trying to bring her mother over from South America and getting her family back together. She works for Stryker and Sons and is not only gorgeous but brilliant and can do laps around the stiff suits she works with.

Their explosive meet cute in the elevator was epic. Little does she know the guy from the elevator is also a member of her first morning meeting with her boss! And she’s now assigned to work with him.

They have major close proximity while working together and the heat is an inferno between these two.

They both have a lot of inner demons and struggles but their connection and chemistry cannot be ignored. I also loved that we got little glimpses of Grayson and Ella!

Ari writes a masterpiece full of tension, angst, swooning moments, laughter, spice, wonderful and intriguing plot, and did I mention tension??? This book has it in spades! You cannot go wrong in reading this book heck this series is chefs kiss! I’m pining for book three I hope we don’t have to wait too long. I’m both excited and sad because I think book three is the last one I’m ready to go back to these characters but I’m definitely not ready to say goodbye! It’s bittersweet!

Favorite Quotes:

“I hate you.”
“I have never hated anyone this much,” he agrees, resuming our kiss.

“Is normal. Being afraid. But the courage is rare.”

“I was afraid because I loved you, too. More than I’ve ever loved anyone.”

“My two favorite things. Your gorgeous ass and your brilliant brain. What more do I need?”

“How am I supposed to sit through dinner when you look like this?”

“Infuriatingly gorgeous,”

“I love her. So damn much. I’m complete and crushed all at once. How did this happen? Do I have to tell her?”

“Bijou. Christ, you’re so beautiful. You make everything better.”

This book was magical in a way. Our FMC certainly does not like disney Princess's type of love, but she certainly ended up with her own fairy tale. This book gave everything and more. The writing was so beautiful. The characters and the plot just made it so I could not put it down and steamed my way through the entirety of the book. It was such a pleasant suprise receiving this book and I definitely think Ari is trying to get in my top book of each month as we are only 11 days in and no book would be able to top For Ever.

The book follows the newest recruit Juliet Rivera to the legal team of a company, who is honestly a bad ass, I love her grandma so much I will say that she is the funniest character in the book and I loved every time we see her in the book. When Juliet is heading up to work, a man gets into the lift with her and oogles her quite obviously and gets a well-deserved slap from Juliet. This man happens to be Graham Everett, who is the CEO's best friend and his broker. Juliet ends up having to work with him closely despite her dismay, and the two get closer.

The forced proximity across the whole book was scorching hot. You will be waiting in anticipation for anything between these two! And when things do get steamy, you will never want those scenes to end. They both have quite big personalities, so bash on a lot of things, but I thought it made the book more fun. I loved it when Juliet spoke Colombian to Graham and him have no idea what was being said, I love the translator feature on kindles.

I loved my way through the entire book, I laughed, and I cried because damn did I get attached to these characters. Whenever something not so good might happen to them, I was upset with them. Especially in that one scene where the author rips your heart out brutally. I love the book but can not forgive for that! Juliet and Graham were meant for each other from the start. They just worked so well, and I am so glad I got to read their book!

Everything about this book was perfect, and everyone needs to read it!

Ari Wright is one of my favorite authors and I love reading her books! This is the second installment in the Star-Crossed Lovers series, and while you don't have to read the first book (For Always), I do highly recommend that you do for the best reading experience.

This is a contemporary, hate to love, romance that features a stockbroker MMC and a lawyer FMC who do not see eye to eye at first. We follow their story through a multitude of personal and family issues as they learn about themselves and what they actually want and cherish in life. I loved seeing the character development (some of my favorite parts) and their relationship unfold. Both the MMC and the FMC have their fair share of struggles and I loved seeing how they handled them and how it impacted their relationship and their relationship with others. Ari does an amazing job of creating these realistic stories that draw you in! And of course the spice is plentiful!

I think I would rate this one closer to 3.5 stars (and I round it up), just because I struggled a bit with the MMC in the beginning. I was not a fan at first of how their initial interaction went via his POV and just some of the things from his POV. However, as the story went on he did grow on me and I ended up enjoying him but that first chunk was a bit rough. I think there is also a lot going on in this book (and it is lengthy which I can appreciate), and some of it was not as flushed out as it could have been when it was wrapping up because there was just so much.

That being said, I still would recommend this book to any fans of hate to love, contemporary romance, Ari Wright books, and those looking for an immersive read! I'll continue to read this series as I think there is at least one more book being released and I can't wait to catch up with past characters!

I received an eARC of this book, but the review is entirely my own.

The story has some of my absolute favorite tropes - adversaries to lovers, opposites Attract, workplace, secret relationship, & close proximity.

Graham is a fun male character - his obsession with fashion, finance, and all things Juliet!! His family drama is quite heartbreaking. At every turn of the page I became so much more emotionally invested. We had a lot of build up over the fraud situation but the way that that whole thing "ended" was kind of anticlimactic. The way that his dad treated him & his brother was absolutely atrocious & I am glad they have moved on.

Juliet is such a spitfire. I love her strength & heart. The way that she sacrificed for her family at every turn was beautiful. Such a great way to show love & devotion. Whether they deserved it or not. The inner office drama was horrible. Her boss was awful & got what he deserved. Her grandma was so adorable & a much needed character - i feel like she was a grounding character, like such a solid foundation.

Marco & Christian were great side characters. They brought a good level of side drama and heartbreak to the story.

Some parts that brought it down in the rating for me:
1. I don't speak Spanish, i had to constantly translate phrases as they did not go explained/ translated within the book. If I were reading a paperback or listening to the audiobook, I would be disappoint.
2. The kitchen scene with her being tied to the pot/pan rack over the island - logistically doesn't work. I reread this scene like 4 times, I tried to reenact at my own counter height table, and it doesn't work.
3. 90% of the book is the build, banter, and romancing portion - but the last 10% is when we it wraps up and it felt rushed.

Honestly. Overall it's a great story. It tugged at my heart strings. It intrigued me, asking what's next so much. It was sexy & so romantic. My little hiccups should not deter you from enjoying, cause I could be wrong.

ARC REVIEW

For Ever is the second book in the Star-Crossed City series and can be read as a standalone, though I recommend reading the series in order to avoid spoilers from the previous book.
It all starts with a slap in an elevator and ends… Well, you’ll have to read it to find out.
Juliet is a young, ambitious lawyer with clear goals. Despite not attending the country’s top universities, she’s on track to become one of the best in her department—though her boss and her own imposter syndrome constantly weigh on her.
Graham may seem like the stereotypical rich guy who’s had everything handed to him on a silver platter, but appearances can be deceiving. As the story unfolds, we learn that beneath his superficial exterior—focused on fashion and frivolities—is a man who is burdened with the responsibility of caring for his stepbrother and dealing with his difficult father.
This book is a quick, enjoyable read with endearing characters that are easy to relate to. The female main character (FMC) is of Latin origin, and the author enriches the story with authentic Colombian expressions. Ari also highlights the challenges faced by foreigners trying to navigate the legal system and emphasizes the toxic dynamics in the workplace, where some will go to great lengths, including blackmail, to get what they believe they deserve.
Supporting characters like Marco, Granma, and Christian are essential for deepening our understanding of Juliet and Graham. Their backstories and interactions help explain why the characters are the way they are, and we get to witness their evolution throughout the story.
As for the "enemies to lovers" and "forbidden love" tropes, I didn’t personally feel these were particularly strong in this story. While there’s some initial tension—especially between Juliet and Graham—I didn’t find their relationship to be an extreme example of those tropes.
