With his raven locks and ebony eyes, Prince Alfred is the cursed child of his kingdom, gladly shunned as a person of ill omen. One day, Alfred happens upon the scene of his older brother, Crown Prince Leor, publicly breaking off his engagement to his fiancée, Charlotte. Although not exactly a knight in shining armor, Alfred decides to save the damsel in distress anyway by taking advantage of his villainous reputation! Little did he know that single act would turn the wheel of fate and change his destiny…
Shark teeth! Shark teeth! Shark teeth! Shark teeth! Shark teeth! Shark teeth! *eep* *cough* Sorry, I am a fang-tan girl and love some fangs! Leo is such a piece of shit. We have all seen that plot happen with many villainess (or in a lot of cases girls who are not villainesses) and seriously each time it pisses me off. In in this case it seemed that Charlotte was made to be a villainess while she was not, the poor girl was shocked when the prince went that far. Plus, all the rumours after. Thankfully, Alfred is much better and I love his character design and how he acts/how he is, though I feel for him as well given he is seen as cursed due to his eyes/hair/magic. I also like that he is harboring feelings for Charlotte. I also love how Charlotte is trying to figure out Alfred and get closer to him now she is his fiancee (yes, thank the king for that). Oh, and that maid! A-Plus, character! Curious how this is going to continue!
This was a cute romantic fantasy for those who like to cheer for the villain. Prince Alfred has the traits of a "cursed child", which means he's the perfect scapegoat for the kingdom. He takes advantage of his reputation to shift the blame from others to himself. This leads to him being engaged to his brother's former fiance, who happens to be Alfred's first crush. Much shenanigans ensue.
Artwork is so good!!! It reminds me of some fantasy shounen manga. Alfred, who is born with dark hair and eyes, is treated as a curse within the kingdom. He is well-known as the villain, but he saved Charlotte, his brother’s fiancée, when his brother the first prince broke his engagement with her. The manga focuses on the question: is this man the villain, or is he the hero? We learn more about the MC, with themes of romance and friendship, as well as occasional humour as the story progresses.
It’s a short read (15 chapters) and I enjoyed reading it! I would recommend this to those who want to read a quick fantasy + romance manga involving family conflict and adventure.
