The final showdown has begun, and without Sooha’s powers to aid them, Heli and his brothers find themselves fighting a losing battle. Just when all hope seems lost, Khan’s lycanthrope abilities are unleashed, turning the tide! But if Dardan can’t have Sooha, no one can. In a last-ditch effort to salvage his grand scheme, Dardan holds Sooha at clawpoint and gives Heli and Khan an ultimatum―pledge to be his loyal servant or else everyone dies. Will the vampire knights be able to save their princess and destroy this evil once and for all?!
I have never been so stumped or baffled by a direct ending because what did those last two pages even mean when it came to the final chapter?!
After doing immediate research once I finished reading, I discovered there is a sequel of sorts called The Blood of Vargr? But there is no English translation and I can't confirm if it's a follow-up of sorts or something else entirely, but I felt really bummed originally because HOW could it end THERE?!
Before that though, I really really loved the ending of this series! I felt a little bit let down with the villain despite that I'm glad he got what was coming for him. I also felt a little lost in that as long as the boys looked deep inside themselves, they would realize who they were and how they were still just as helpful/important and could defeat Dardan? (Trying to keep that vague so I don't spoil it!) I think that's a good message, but considering how Sooha has helped made these boys OP for the past several volumes, I felt really disappointed too?
I know I was disappointed with Dardan's ending moment and felt the big battle maybe wasn't necessary after all was said and done, even though it was so deeply engaging to read!! I truly LOVED seeing the vampires and werewolves team up and work together! It was epic and made me love the ending all the more since they still "hung out" of sorts later on!
And overall, I enjoyed the whole volume but considering how on edge I was reading the majority of the other volumes, this ending didn't hit the same peak I really hoped it would. However, even with all that said, I was VERY excited to see our boys shine and FINALLY overcome everything to get where they are! They got the happy ending I had desperately hoped for and that WAS enough for me! (I'm just going to ignore those last two pages to help cope with the actual ending imho.) It truly made me happy and think I'll come back to this series because it was such a thrill ride! Plus, seeing Sooha find happiness too, especially when you compare it to how she was in the beginning, it made my heart feel full. <3
So all-in-all, this was a really gripping series! Dash of romance, LOTS of action, and seeing a community together made it a great time!
I have so many thoughts about this final volume—mostly about the ending—but I’ll try to keep things vague while hopefully making sense at the same time, haha.
I loved the final battle! And Heli realizing their powers were their’s all along and not Sooha’s and that they could still use them was amazing! I love that reminder that your talents are YOURS no matter what anyone or anything might say about them or do to them in any way, they are first and foremost yours and yours alone to use as God gifted you, and I just love that reminder so so much!
I didn’t like the “redemption” of Dardan at all—he’s a horrible scum bag, you can’t make me feel sorry for him in a few panels after he’s killed, kidnapped, and tried to kill these characters for 7 volumes; sorry, not gonna happen! Not sure about the thought process behind that idea but it didn’t stick the landing AT ALL.
And now we get to my biggest gripe about the whole volume that ultimately demoted its potential five star to a four—the “ending”. The last two pages confuse the heck out of me because it acts like there’s going to be a sequel series when there isn’t one (at least not as of writing this review) while also having a “thanks for reading” page like the series is done forever, so which is it?! What does the stupid “ending” even mean anyways?!?! It makes no sense! What does this mean for Sooha? Heli and his brothers? Are they really going to try for another weird love triangle? WHY DOES THIS SERIES NEED ANY KIND OF SEQUEL ANYWAYS?! So I’m gonna ignore that “ending” upon rereading, but it was a stupid choice and I kinda hate the whole volume in a way because of that.
And just as an added clarification (since the volume doesn’t bother with one) Episode 71, the “special” one, is just previews of, I think, two prequel stories which I only figured out after poking around online, so good job with explaining that, publishing team. 🙄 It’s basically useless and confusing and can be skipped, lol.
I have mixed feelings overall with this series but overall I still really enjoy it and love the characters and would reread it despite the later volumes feeling a bit all over the place at times and the horribly confusing and annoying ending. If you want a fun urban fantasy/paranormal romance story with elements of Sailor Moon and Twilight sprinkled throughout then I’d highly recommend giving this one a try!
While I’m less excited about the future anime because of that ending, I’ll probably still check it out whenever it releases and hope whoever is making it read reviews like this one and learn from the OG creators’ mistakes and enhance upon the manhwa’s roots, not make it worse.
Violence: injuries and blood (PG-13/R); fighting hand to hand and with weapons (PG-13/R); wolves bite vampire throats (PG-13/R); a guy is kicked; a guy threatens to strangle a girl; a guy is kicked off a platform; rocks fall on and bury characters; a guy smashes another guy’s teeth; characters are stabbed with swords (PG-13/R); a guy uses his power of persuasion to have vampires cut off each other’s heads (PG-13/R)
Sexual: kissing (G)
Other: vampires and werewolves; supernatural powers; death and grief; reincarnation
Kind of ridiculous to the end, and I have to say that I love that about this series. I also found myself surprised by how invested I was in Sooha and Heli getting together; maybe it was the Sailor Moon themes in these last few books. In any event, I'm looking forward to the original novels and the sequel.
And so bargain-basement reverse-harem Sailor Moon comes to a close. Toward the end of the big climactic battle that went on for at least a couple of full volumes, the reader is given hints that our characters have been through multiple lives before we met them back in the first book.
This manhwa is pretty sometimes, and very violent, and very predictable, especially if you've experienced SM in any form over the last 30+ years. If you're going to steal, steal from the best, I guess.
As I read through this volume and saw the characters' struggles I thought: oh, there's that one guy I thought was kind of cute. But when you're trying to figure out who's who, and who's where, in a big battle featuring fourteen heroes and a bunch of mooks, and the lighting changes so it's hard to tell if you're seeing the same characters from panel to panel, and everybody's hair is flying around photogenically, and a lot of the art is overlaid with blur effects, it's hard for me to follow, or feel very invested in. That's especially true when that battle doesn't illuminate anything about them, and when . It all feels rather weightless and inconsequential in the end.
I understand that a tie-in to a K-pop group doesn't have to work very hard. Dark Moon tried a bit, and it did all right. It was fun. It would have been nice if it had gone above and beyond, despite my very low expectations. There's a stinger or two at the end of this volume, but there's very little chance that I'll follow up on a sequel unless I can read it for free.
since i binged the whole series in 2 days im only gonna write one review for it.
MASTERPIECE.
first of all, im an engene and i’ve known about this series ever since i became enhypen’s fan, i just surprisingly never really wanted to read it till recently, and im so glad i did. each character in the series is a direct reference for enhypen and &team’s members, while i would say they definitely have a lot of similarities but thats pretty much it.
the story is surprisingly good? i wasn’t really expecting anything when i started the manhwa, just wanted to know more about enhypen’s lore. i would say this series gave you a lot of depth into their lore, but probably only till their album dimension: dilemma/answer, most of it are more in relevance with border: carnival (check out their mv if drunk dazed and fever if you’re interested)
while this series is part of their lore, when i was reading it i didn’t really read the characters as them if you get what im saying. i treated them (characters in manhwa) like their own characters instead of enhypen. the plot is really well developed imo, and some plot twists i definitely didn’t see them coming at all. however the only complaint i have is that there wasn’t enough interaction of sooha and heli, i was hoping to see more of them and their interactions after the battle, but we only got 1 chapter. i guess it was bc this series will have season two which is already releasing from what i understand but ugh i wish we could have gotten more.
anyways, considering me hooked on this series, it’s so good i wish i can read it again.
Even better than the first time I read it! I still think Heli's confession to Sooha could be toned down a bit, like woah boy we don't need to know all the details😅 But it's also one of my most favorite confessions ever and I think it's BEAUTIFUL!!! There's a lot of unanswered cliffhangers at the end that don't quite seem to fit, but I still give it 5 stars because there's still more coming out in Children of Vamfield (Super dark and depressing by the way, if you haven't started it yet, be warned: It is not as lighthearted as this one) Also I can't wait for Dark Moon: The Grey City to be published as a physical book! I love my werewolves! There are definitely some things I noticed in this first series that don't quite match up with the later two, but I'm assuming those things will make sense eventually. I'm hoping it's not just cause they decided to refine some storyline points later on because they wished they did it differently in this one. It will really bother me if the 3 (I think going to be 4?) Dark Moon series don't fully match each other. But I can't wait for future books/chapters all the same!

Ah, the conclusion. My re-read of this made a lot more sense than my first read, but it's still a bit jumbled. High action though, so respect for that. it's meant to be cheesy so can't complain there. And the cliffhanger? Still hasn't been addressed in the new series, they are seriously building the anticipation.
I want more depth on Noa's power after seeing glimpses of it here
2.75 overall ending was really just a set up for additional series it looks like which I won't continue.
The art is just okay. This feels like fan fic honestly, which isn't a bad thing just an observation.
My main issues were the at times confusing plot lines and the art. It was too hard to tell who was who in some of the panels especially during the fights.
A lot of battles, revelations, emotions, and more. This was a fantastic series and I am so excited that I got to read it! At times it got a bit much/too much battles, but in overall I had so much fun. Hot boys (vampire/werewolves), a fab backstory, a romance plot, and more. I also loved that we got to see how everyone is doing in the end and get to follow them for a bit.
The conclusion was a bit confusing (at one point it looked like she was sacrificing herself, but then it was just fine…?) but I still really enjoyed this series and am looking forward to the eventual anime!
3.5 rounded up. This was the end? Or there's more but there's a spin off and it's not in English? I'm really not sure - everything was very disjointed, and I would have liked more. What was there was good, but it's more what's missing that's throwing me off.
Definitely fast paced. Sometimes it was difficult to tell who and who apart. The ending was a little anticlimactic but it was a good read. Definitely the most violent and gory out of the series. Can't wait to see the anime adaptation next year.
