Silverfox's Unexpected Twins

Rate this book
She's forbidden. She's fire. And the only woman I'll ever crave.

I've spent years pushing my feelings for Isabella Ward into the shadows. She's my best friend's daughter, but when she walked back into my life, no longer a girl but a confident, breathtaking woman, the rules I swore to live by began to crack.

I'm older and should know better. She's young, vibrant, and far too tempting for a man like me. Every glance, every stolen touch, pushes us closer to the edge of what's right—and into the flames of what we both crave.

We thought we could control it. We thought we could walk away. But one blind date changed everything. In a moment of passion and whispered promises, we crossed the line we swore we'd never touch.

Now, the stakes are higher than ever. That forbidden night left Isabella with more than just memories—she's carrying my twins.

I've built an empire on calculated risks, but losing her? That's not a gamble I'm willing to take.

We defied every rule and risked everything—and now we could lose it all before we even begin.

So many holes in the story.

I love me a good novella but this book is not short and sweet. There’s so many missing parts/information that you’re just constantly lost. When the “villain” pops up I didn’t even know who they were!!! And there was never any conclusion. Wish I honestly would have stopped reading this book in the middle.

Very Good

**SPOILERS**

Isabella has had a crush on Tristan for as long as she can remember. He’s her father’s best friend, and she once happily bands his son. She loved Kennedy, Tristan’s deceased wife, and always felt a bit of guilt over her infatuation, but pushed it all aside because…hey, Tristan was completely off-limits, not only was he her dad’s best friend, but he was happily married with a child. When Kennedy died Isabella stayed close to Tristan and his son, and had a working relationship with Tristan (she’s the top interior designer in Manhattan).

Tristan loved his wife…but he, too, had a crush on Isabella. She was clearly always off-limits, but somehow she transformed from the young girl that always looked at him as iff he hung the moon, to a beautiful young woman that he was wildly attracted to. One evening he can’t hold it back and he admits his attraction to Isabella. Isabella pulls away from him and Tristan is slightly afraid he has ruined everything until a surprise blind date brings them both together. After that it’s impossible for them to keep away from each other. They begin seeing one another secretly. Isabella is happy (still scared of revealing her relationship to her father, obviously) but happy…then sudden unexpected news rocks her world…she’s pregnant with Tristan’s babies…yup, twins.

Tristan and Isabella decide they’re all in, and life seems to be going pretty swimmingly until Richard, Isabella’s father walks in on them and overhears their conversation about her being pregnant. Also Isabella’s trusted designer who left her company (initially on good terms) turns out to be a dirty, backstabbing beyotch who is trying to sabotage Isabella, start her own company and poach Isabella’s clients. Despite all the turmoil, Tristan and Isabella have never been happier as they await the birth of their twins. The book concludes with Tristan, Isabella, Jack (Tristan’s son) and the twins living happily in a new place that Isabella designed, with Isabella’s career cemented, stable and flourishing.

**THOUGHTS**

I really enjoyed this age-gap romance. It’s a total “feel good” read. Isabella is a likable characters and her relationship with Tristan evolves “organically” naturally, despite their age difference and the twists that get dumped on them. Tristan is a thoroughly likable character as well, a strong and steady force in Isabella’s life, a fantastic father, and a terrific partner.

There was some drama…Richard, Isabella’s father didn’t take the news of their relationship well, and Rachel, the backstabbing ex-employee was a total witch with a capital B. That being said I would’ve given this book 5 stars if 1. The Rachel situation had played out a bit more. I honestly would’ve liked a bit “more” on that front, AND I would’ve enjoyed seeing her career and new company ruined as well. As happy as I was that Isabella flourished, I would’ve enjoyed seeing Rachel ruined…what can I say, I’m evil in that way, lol. And 2. I would’ve enjoyed an extended epilogue. As lovely as the ending was, I wasn’t quite ready to “let go” of these great characters. And a “bonus” epilogue would’ve been nice. However, all in all this is an easy, fast-paced, feel good book which will leave you smiling.

I am voluntarily reviewing an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

I wanted to branch out and read something different from my normal selections. This met expectations. While I generally enjoyed it, there were some opportunities for improvement.

1) While I was initially "icked" by the Dad's best friend trope, I think the development and growth of the relationship was handled well and it made you forget the age-gap at times.
2) I really enjoyed seeing the family acceptance and growth in the relationships, especially Jack's easy embrace of Isabella.
3) At times, the book felt sickeningly sweet. Not necessarily a bad thing, but some repetitiveness.
4) The drama with Rachel felt forced and came out of nowhere. She is first mentioned with this sentence almost halfway into the book My reaction was "who tf is Rachel??" Would have appreciated a little more background and development on that storyline
5) I loved the Happily Ever After.

Tristan and Isabella

Age gap - he was there as she grew up - that gives me the ick but he was married and he wasn’t into her until after his wife died and she’s in her 20s.

She resists the pull - 4 years later they are working again and they get matched up in a dating site with fake names - they click and meet in person - he insists they give it a try. They continue and want to gradually introduce everyone to them dating but she’s pregnant with his twins. Her dad is mad at first but eventually accepts it. Everything is pretty hunky dorey - she’s getting larger, he’s giving her all the sex she craves, he’s constantly praising her, and his son loves her. Then the co-worker becomes psycho… sets out to ruin her - kind of came out of no where for me. She ends up no much of a plot line even though we are warned of the doom and gloom coming. She does get in a car accident and then has to go on bed rest. He asks her to marry him.

Hea they get married with her in bed, twins boy and girl… then year later pregnant again

OMG this story was very emotional and painful of and true love romance. It was a page turner and the suspense was really intense. I was on the edge of my seat and I couldn't even put it down. It was addicted and spicy hot of and with a new romance coming into his life. Tristen and his son Jack when his lost his wife Kennedy had just died. He was lost. When he meet her Isabella something had just click in his heart of the promise that he made his late wife to falling love again and be happy again. Isabella had formed a connection with his son Jack in this moment. Tristen couldn't fight the feeling and the temptation between him and Isabella anymore. The sparks between them had ignited of and desire that he never found before until now.
I highly recommend this book and you won't be disappointed. I received advance copy of this book via Bookfunnel and am voluntarily leaving my honest review. Trina Jones

You need to get this HOT romance read in your hands right NOW. Don't wait any longer because OMG this book is going to rock your world. In the very beginning my heart ached for Tristen and his son Jack when his wife Kennedy died. Then me heart ached for Isabella because of her true feelings for Tristen which she was unable to follow because of her promise to Kennedy. WOW this storyline screams major suspense of what will Tristen and Isabella do. If you're not reading this book right this very moment, you're missing out let me, tell you. I can't just give this book a 5/5 star rating it's more like a 20/20 stars and a whole lot more.

silverfox’s unexpected twins

I liked the basis of the book but there’s a weird villain storyline that just randomly pops up out of nowhere where and then just ends. There’s no reason for it to start and gives no detail how it ended. Also something happens to the FMC towards the end of her pregnancy but doesn’t go into detail of what actually happened and it’s just confusing. I think it the book stuck with the blurb and made it more about the forbidden part it would have been better.

Silverfox's Unexpected Twins, book one in the Irrevocably Yours Series by Stephie Rose was so good! I was hooked from the beginning, there was drama, suspense and romance. The relationship that Isabella formed with Tristen's son Jack was so special. This is one of the first books I have read from the author and will surely not be my last. This is an excellent romance that will not disappoint.

She is his best friend’s daughter and off-limits. He is the widow she used to babysit for. Now they are working closely together. Can’t they keep their feelings at bay? I absolutely loved this charming age gap romance. I especially loved young Jack’s relationship with Isabella.

great story and characters

Not great editing. One half of a chapter repeats itself and there are authors notes to herself left in the story text. Punctuation, especially quotations, is off at times. Some spoken words are not in quarters and some thoughts are out in quotes.
Much potential but like other books by this author, timeline and grammar and editing need work.

Overall a typical fall in love with your dad's best friend romance. I enjoyed it and it was fun to read. The only thing that annoyed me was the constant phrase "Together we can do anything" or anything of the likes. It felt so over-used. While I enjoyed the book and liked the ending I was glad I didn't have to hear that phrase again.

Disappointed

What happened? This book was repetitive and boring. Where are the adults. Reading this made me think of high schoolers. I like a good romance. This definitely wasn't it. I stopped halfway through.

Loving Story

I really liked the characters and the storyline. But the editing is terrible with scenes repeated that weren’t pieced together well and events dragged out. Also lack of continuity. Wouldn’t read again but enjoyed.

That word. Over and over again.
And why repeat the wedding scene?
Loved the story line, but expected one last major fallout with Rachel…

Typical yet cringe at same time. Saving grace is Jack. He’s full of awesome. The relationship was a bit too taboo for me to handle.

some loose ends

I really wanted to know what happened with the design competition from the rival. Also the book could have benefited from a good edit. Some scenes were repetitive.

Isabella is an interior decorator, and her business is starting to take off. Her father brings her in on a job that he and his business partner are doing with another company. This brings Isabella into contact with Tristan, and she realizes that he is looking at her differently. Tristan is drawn to Isabella even if he knows he shouldn't do anything about his attraction. She makes him feel alive which he hasn't felt like since his wife died. Seeing her with his son makes him want her even more. Its not long before things heat up between them. Then things get complicated when she learns that she is pregnant. Will Tristan stay with her? Or will her father cause them to end things?

This is an amazing story that will hook you from the first chapter on. This is a well written and very entertaining story. Its a book that any book lover would enjoy.
