Willow Harper’s world has been shattered.

The man she trusted—the shifter bound to her by fate—has done the unthinkable. Caleb Foster’s demons pushed him to the edge, and Willow paid the price.

Now Caleb has disappeared again, lost in guilt and shame. Haunted by the damage he’s caused, he’s left her alone. But Willow knows his absence won’t stop the enemies who’ve been hunting her from the shadows, their motives still a mystery.

As dark forces close in, Willow faces an impossible choice—save herself or risk everything for the man whose demons threaten to consume him.

With her heart and her life hanging in the balance, she must confront a harsh truth, some wounds may never heal, and some bonds may never be broken.

In a world where trust is fragile, and danger is everywhere, can Willow and Caleb survive the storm ahead…and will Caleb ever forgive himself for what he’s done?

This is the conclusion to the Shadowridge Peak series. Due to its sexual content, mature language, violence, and some mature themes, it is recommended for readers 18 and older.

The final installment in this captivating trilogy...this has been a proper roller coaster ride, one with so many ups and downs I genuinely couldn't figure out how it was going to end. But Caleb and Willows story really did triumph in the end even the undead could not tear these two apart....it came close a few times but Willows tenacity held tight and she finally got her man ....well wolf ! Fabulously brilliant!!! One of my all time favourite series now. Very different, very unique and utterly brilliantly written. Five stars just aren't enough!!

Wolf’s Providence is the third and final book in The Shadowridge Peak Series, which is a paranormal romance.

Willow and Caleb’s story continues following the cliffhanger in Wolf’s Fate. Every question I had was answered and the story just came together, with details that I didn’t even know I needed answers for.

There’s so much cleansing and healing, along with secrets being uncovered and important decisions being made to wrap up Willow and Caleb’s story.

There’s one chapter that’s pure perfection. I want to say all things about this chapter, but I’ll leave it that.

What a perfect ending to a captivating series.

glad the series is complete

When I started book 1 I thought it would be one book as it was so long winded, I read book 2 because I wanted to see how it ended.. but it didn’t end, it was just more long winded, so onto book 3 and about 80% through I was about to chuck my phone thinking it was going to leave off on another cliffie and become book 4 because these all could have been 1 book and been the same storyline without all the extra fluff. But thank goodness we had them end on a HEA!

3.75stars-WOLF’S PROVIDENCE is the third and final instalment in Eve L Mitchell’s contemporary, adult THE SHADOWRIDGE PEAK paranormal, romance series focusing on artist Willow Harper, and wolf shifter, Alpha of the Shadowridge Pack Caleb Foster, WOLF’S PROVIDENCE should not be read as a stand alone as it picks up after the events and cliff hanger of book two WOLF’S FATE. The SHADOWRIDGE PEAK is a spin off, set in the author's BLACKRIDGE PEAK series.

SOME BACKGROUND: Pulled towards something unknown, lone wolf Caleb Foster finds himself drawn to Whispering Pines and artist Willow Harper, a human woman but a woman who sees more than anyone could have ever imagined. Having spent ten years alone after the decimation of his pack, Caleb struggles with pack life, and interacting with society.

NOTE: If you have not read books one and two, there may be spoilers in my review.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Willow and Caleb) WOLF’S PROVIDENCE picks up a few days after the events of book two WOLF’S FATE. Willow Harper has been injured, and Caleb Foster is missing, on the run, blaming himself for what happened and why but the bond between human and wolf is growing, and the farther apart, the more pain and suffering our couple endure. With Caleb’s returns, and Willow’s forgiveness, our couple make plans to return to Caleb’s mountain but a warning comes from the people who care. Wolves and humans can not be mates, and the past is targeting our story line couple. Caleb is desperate to protect the woman he loves but to protect Willow, Caleb must let go of the past.

The world building focuses on Caleb’s need to make amends, and his constant urge to run; Willow’s need to heal both physically and emotionally; and the push and pull of a bond that find our couple often on the verge of walking away. Willow is often a little TSTL , placing herself in the direct line of fire, and in this, Caleb struggles to protect the woman that calls to his heart. Caleb keeps himself at a distance, not trusting the people in his life. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

The colorful secondary and supporting characters include Blackridge Pack Alpha Cannon and his mate Kezia; Doc, the Shaman; wolf shifter Eamon; Willow’s friend Lily Summers: co-worker Lorna; Noel , and Raymond.

WOLF’S PROVIDENCE is a story of secrets and lies, betrayal and vengeance, power and control, greed and obsession, The premise is intriguing and entertaining; the characters are desperate and dynamic; the romance is limited but saying that, the constant back and forth, need to run and escape, and Caleb’s inability to accept his fate and love ,got old, very fast.

I honestly don’t know why I kept reading this book and series.

Book 1, DNF
Book 2: not bad. Actually furthered the plot. Not a lot but a little.
Book 3: ffs you don’t find out what’s going on until 60% in 🤬

To be clear: you don’t find out who’s after Willow. As in it takes this long to get to that.

Also, by that point:
- Caleb is still lying about what the bond means. Hell, I’m not even sure bc there one was tiny comment thrown in.

They rehash the same sh*t over and over. Repeated conversations and thinking.

The way time goes makes no sense. Willow makes it seem like she’s in the bunker for weeks, and it’s apparently only one week after Lily leaves?

Caleb bites her shoulder at one point which in any other book would mean he claimed her. But the bit is never mentioned. Willow apparently doesn’t notice.

Idk the first series wasn’t bad. But this one is terrible. I wouldn’t have read it if I hadn’t gotten interested during book 2.

Not sure I’ll continue with this author 🤷‍♀️

This author KNOWS how to play to my heart even though I dont always agree with her writing strategies.

the one thing that irks me a bit is that she brings up things/subplots that seem important to the story that makes me want to know more, then tosses it to the side without really bringing them to some sort of conclusion.

this whole series was angsty and that sung to my heart.
I fell in love with the main charcters. it wasnt as action pact as her first series but it was still very involved and emotionally charged.

the internal turmoil that Caleb the mmc faced was beautifully destructive. I personally disliked that he would come to revelations that running wasnt the answer and then quickly concluded that running is the best choice. BUT like if you were as internally damaged and tortured as him would you also keep running when you felt that was the best option for someone as fragile and human as the fmc?

the fmc probably COULD have been more firm in throwing it at him that he would promise to stay only to leave again while still firmly caring for him and his damaged self. the amount of ANGST we could have reveled in if she were to feel broken and betrayed by his leaving could have been NEXT level. BUT I still loved the adventure as a whole. im am a SUCKER for the way he would call himself her husband to make sure he could stay by her side and look after her in certain situations.

I only give 4 stars because the author knows how to start so strong in her story writing and keeps it pretty strong throughout BUT her conclusions to the major plots and subplots could use a little more work.

I will say there is an IMMENSE improvement to the writing from the previous series to this series and because of that i will continue to read her stories in the future.

I look forward to reading them :]

EDIT: this is a series that lives rent free in my head and I will come back and reread again to relive that magic 😭❤️

Willow and Caleb's final piece to their story sees them getting the HEA they have fought hard to achieve. The growth in Caleb's character throughout the three books brings him to a well-rounded character and someone I was rooting for to get his HEA after he can get out of his way to realize just how perfect Willow is.

As an FMC, Willow is one of my favorites that Mitchell has written. She has a tenacity to keep going even when things seem impossible. Her ability to care for Caleb and keep going for him even when she doesn't understand his world warmed my heart.

All the twists, turns, and battles these two fight are all worth it. Mitchell is one of my favorite authors who can write a true, hard, fought HEA with captivating characters that have me returning for more.

This book was an amazing conclusion to this series! Willow is such an amazing character. Her strength and perseverance is unparalleled. Caleb is a handful wrestling the demons from his past and trying to protect Willow from unknown enemies. The culmination of the two was perfectly written. I am hoping more will be written in this world because I would love to see what the future holds for Willow and Caleb. They do get their hea but reading about how the rest of their lives play out would be nice. I fell in love with them.

The final installment to The Shadowridge Peak Series.

Willow and Caleb.

Crazily enough, Book 1 was my favorite- with the Intrigue and world building. Not to say I didn't enjoy the full trilogy, *but* - I did feel like the rollercoaster of push and pull with Caleb's refusal to accept who he is- too blinded and guilt-ridden of the past was a bit drawn out.

So much so, we truly were left reeling at 80% through this final book. I was very concerned how it would end - that being said, I was left content with the ending. Great conclusion to the series. 💙

I might be being overly critical with this book, but the final installment of this series just sort of flopped. It became repetitious, the MMC constantly leaves the FMC to the point where he’s not learning and it just feels like the FMC is getting the raw end of the stick, and there were plot points from the previous books that just went nowhere. Specifically, the “allergic to silver” comment. What was the point of that? Overall, just so disappointed in how this turned out.

Another 5* what a way to conclude the series. I am so glad Willow managed to get through to Caleb and thought hard for him. There was lies and betrayal but above all there was their love for each other and that conquered everything. They kept me hooked and I needed to read to find out what happened and I'm so glad I did absolutely loved it. Thank you for yet another amazing series.

I’m happy I stuck with it.

I wish there were more answers about Willow’s past and things like her allergic reaction to silver that was mentioned in book 2 and never revisited, but overall I did finally get sucked into caring about Caleb and I am content with the way things worked out.

I went from "FINALLY, he's going to go after the girl" to "FFS, why are you still questioning this?" during this book. These characters were frustrating as hell, but I'm sure I'll probably stumble onto a spin off at one point and read it, because I actually liked the side characters.

Not as good as Blackridge Peak series

Horribly boring compared to Blackridge Peak. I was hoping the second and third book would pick up and get better. DNF on third book.

🌕 ARC Book Review | Wolf's Providence by Eve L. Mitchell | 4 ⭐️ |
@adasbookreview

Okay… this one hurt 😮‍💨💔 As the last book in the series, it delivered on everything: pain, growth, tension, and just a little hope that everything will be okay.

We pick up right after book two. Willow’s injured, heartbroken, and left to fend off enemies in the dark. Caleb’s gone, drowning in guilt, trying to outrun the wreckage he left behind —and let me just say, sir, disappearing solves nothing. 🙄

Willow’s still carrying this series like the powerhouse she is. Even hurt and haunted by dreams, she doesn’t back down. She keeps showing up—for herself, for the people she loves, and yes… even for Caleb. 🖤🎨

And Caleb… oh, Caleb. I wanted to hug him and slap him at the same time. He’s buried in guilt, pushing away the one person who'd fight for him. But watching him finally face his past, fight his way back to Willow, and grovel? Painful, but so satisfying. His growth hit exactly when it needed to. 😤

Their bond? Still magnetic and messy in all the best ways. The back and forth was a lot, but when they finally let their guard down? beautiful

There’s betrayal, found family, dangerous truths, and emotional whiplash—I was screaming one minute and tearing up the next. And the ending? I wish we got a novella, epilogue, something to show what their future looks like. PLEASE. 🥹
