Age Gap Romances are usually NOT for me!
But this pleasantly surprised me! The whole father-of-the-ex-bully thing was... better than I expected, but also underwhelming in a way.

The ending was so sweet and fluffy and cute!!!

I received an eARC for my honest opinion.

Remember to always be in high school, because you never know if that person might become your next stepparent… Oh, the sweet revenge on Queenie’s bully. In this book you will meet Queenie, she is a social worker, she is living her best life and when out for a night of drinks with the girls, when she runs into her high school bully’s father, who is very good looking, and he is interested in her. When Queenie asks him if he knew about how his son used to bully her due to her partial missing limb, he tells her that he did not and if he would have known he wouldn’t have allowed that. When he asked to see her again and get her number she gave in and gave it to him, because as her best friends say, this might be the sweetest form of revenge, to sleep with her bully’s father.

I love that in this book you will find tropes like age gap, and he falls first, great rep for disabilities, and no 3rd act breakups. I have had the opportunity to read the first two books of this Naughty Desserts series, and I have to say I think this is my favorite book out of them. I found the characters to be easy to connect with and relate too. I really enjoyed that the characters were understanding to each other, respectful and their communication was amazing. It was a breath of fresh air to see a romance book without miscommunication in it. I found the chemistry and the spice in the book to be off the charts. I loved that in Longoria books you will always find spice but underneath all that you will find a sweet romance book, great plot, characters that will have wished they were real, and you could hang out with them.

If you’re looking for a fluffy, sweet romance book with spice that is off the charts, you need this book and the first two. I know from reading the snippet of the next book, I can’t wait to read that one.

Blueberry Cake is part of the Naughty Desserts series. It's a steamy OTT, he falls first, age-gap, curvy girl gets her Bully's Dad romance. Queenie is a 28 year old sweet, sassy, and curvy social worker. Boyd is a hunky, 43 year old marketing company and real estate owner. He is also the father of the boy who tormented her in school. When she is out one night with friends, Boyd sees her and is immediately taken with the curvy beauty. When he offers her a drink, she ends up refusing at first, knowing who he is. He has no idea who she is or what his son had done to her. He leaves her with his info, and she ends up reaching out. These two were AMAZING together. They had such open and honest communication the entire time. Their chemistry was pure fire, and the ending was so happy. There was family drama, but they always worked through it together. This was my first book by this author but not the last. This was one hot and steamy read, and I loved everything about it. I need a Boyd in my life!.

Sweet revenge never tasted so filthy-good.

Whew! Okay, let me just start by saying: I devoured this one like I had no self-control and zero regrets—because Blueberry Cake by Tanja Longoria is the kind of naughty dessert you sneak into bed with after midnight and eat with your fingers. And don’t let that cute, cozy-looking cover fool you… this book is as spicy as it is deliciously petty, and I mean that in the best way.

From the first chapter, I knew Queenie was my kind of chaos. Girl’s night out turns into her accidentally (but not really) getting back at her high school tormentor… by sleeping with her dad. I know. I know. But tell me you’re not intrigued!

Boyd? Oh, Lord help me. I wasn’t expecting to fall for him, but this man—15 years older, rugged, confident, and obsessed in the best way—had me blushing and smirking like a teenager all over again. He saw Queenie and wanted her, not just physically (though trust me, that tension is chef’s kiss), but emotionally too. And the way he showed up for her? Unexpected. Real. Kinda swoon-worthy in a slow-burn-meets-heatwave kinda way.

This story didn’t just bring the heat—it also gave Queenie a journey. She’s dealing with layers of trauma and old wounds, but she never loses her sass or fire. Watching her walls come down, even while her past tries to crash the party, made me root for her even harder. She’s got grit, heart, and a wicked sense of humor.

And let’s not pretend this was all emotional and introspective—oh no. The steam in this book? Absolutely sinful. It’s revenge-fueled but somehow turns into something soft and sticky-sweet. Like blueberry cake… that you definitely need a cold shower after.

Tanja Longoria nailed the balance of messy, sexy, and surprisingly heartfelt. I came for the scandal, stayed for the spice, and left with heart eyes for a silver fox and a woman who took her power back—one sinful bite at a time.

Did someone say Age Gap Romance? I introduce to you Blueberry Cake by Longoria

As someone with a 13 year age gap in their marriage I always love a larger age gap story!

Queenie is hesitant when Boyd approaches her at the bar- not because of his age. But because his son was her highschool bully. Boyd respects that he may never hear from Queenie, but luckily she decides to give him a chance.

I love the playfulness and adventure in Queenie and Boyd's relationship. They are up for anything in life and in private... Even when it isn't that private.

The coming together of their friend groups to form a larger community around our MCs is especially delightful. I love that Longoria takes the time to build these connections. Non-romance books always make me sad when these pivotal connections are overlooked.

I loved it! This was such a great book. If you're looking for an age-gap romance with plenty of steamy scenes, this is your book! Queenie and Boyd are amazing characters and you just fall in love with them both. From their very first meeting to the very end, you get to experience their journey. There are some uphill battles they have to fight, and oppressive ideals they have to do away with. Not everything is easy. Not everyone is perfect. And it's not everyday that you meet your other half. I definitely refined this book, and for sure this whole series. You'll have butterflies from the cheesy jokes you read, sympathetic tears for the intense emotional moments, and maybe a blush or two from the more risqué chapters.

I absolutely devoured this book! Tanja never lets me down. Her characters have depth and growth and are always super relatable. Boyd and Queenie are an age gap romance I could read again and again. Their sweet relationship that really comes out of nowhere for the both of them was like a sugar high for me. I could not put this book down. A party of this book that really stuck out to me is when Queenie buys Boyd flowers for the first time and her response to him, "I read somewhere once that the first time men recieve flowers is at thier funerals and it really stuck with me." Now that will be stuck with me. This is definitely a 5/5 chili peppers read for me with plenty of plot and character charm to not feel like its just spice the whole time.

A revenge dating, age gap romance.

The title may be sweet, but the book is coming in hot with spice right off the bat.

I enjoyed how the book started with Queenie putting up her boundaries and turning down the advances of her former high school bullies father. However, Boyd made a bold move and gave her his number anyway, putting the ball in her court.

After pondering over whether to text Boyd or not, Queenie took the plunge and reached out. After a nice coffee date and some bedroom activities, both decided that the best way to get back at Boyd's son Luka was for them to revenge date.

While I did enjoy this book, as I do all of Tanja's writing, to me, this wasn't a revenge dating book. Luka didn't even know they were dating until he bumps into Queenie when she surprises Boyd at his office and even then he didn't truly know.

Overall, it was an enjoyable and quick read.

This was an adorable story that melted me, it all started when Queenie the FMC was out on a girls night and Boyd the MMC tries to buy her a drink, unbeknownst to him though she knows exactly who he is, his son was her nightmare in highschool.

So what better way to get back at your highschool bůlly than a one nighter with his dad? 😉
Only it ends up being so much more than a one night thing, because Boyd is not his son, and his communication is on point.
These two are in it for the long haul and I am here for it 😍 but will they make it or will the highschool meanie bite back?

Old school love with a delicious twist - Boyd is floored to discover that the lovely young woman who turned his head is the victim of his own son. After being chastised for Luka's abominable behavior because Queenie is differently-abled, Boyd gets the phone call that changes the MCS' lives for the better. Even as they both know she is with him for revenge, they jump headfirst into having the time of their lives together. He's a gentleman, until he gets her in his bed, transforming into the lover of her naughtiest dreams. Nothing is off-limits between Boyd and his queen in this delightfully saucy read. Likeable characters, great on-page action, and a great storyline with the author doing a wonderful job addressing Queenie's missing hand.

I enjoyed the fact that there really weren’t any editing issues, plot holes, or inconsistencies. The book was an easy read and was entertaining. However, it seemed to have lost the main plotline which was supposed to be revenge. The characters also didn’t have any sort of build up in connection or conversation (at least that was apparent to the reader) before they slept together. The book was also a bit kinky which was not made known to the reader beforehand. One thing I really enjoyed about the book though was that the FMC had a disability. As someone who also has a disability it was great to see some representation. Disabilities are rarely seen in books, especially in a FMC of a romance novella.

I love this series and this third instalment absolutely delivered. It might be my favourite out of the 3.

Queenie meets her high school bully's dad in a bar and reluctantly gives him a chance thinking it would be the best revenge against his son's actions when they were younger. Unknowing that Boyd will surprise her in more ways than one.

This was such a fluffy, sweet but super steamy read. The vibes were top notch.

I loved both main characters and loved how much communication there was between them. It was so refreshing and satisfying to have characters in a romance talk about everything openly and not miscommunicate.

The little snippet of the next book in the series was such a nice surprise. Looking forward to reading that!

My fourth arc/book with Tanja and I felt a little more in love with her books; they always have a funny, sensitive, emotional, and hot vibe that makes it easy to read without pause.

As always in this series, the disability theme is treated with respect and normality, is part of the plot, but never defines the MC, is just another part of that person. It has a fast pace and connection between the MCs, but it feels right. The spice is incredible, and the art is always a nice surprise.

The drama part in this book felt more deep than in the others, and it let me sometimes feeling conflicted, but it was resolved in a good way. The MMC tried to do everything he could to make the FMC feel good and happy, but never being pushy and trying to solve all.

Don't let the cute cover deceive you. There's just as much spice as there is cuteness in this book. This is my fourth book from Tanja, and I still admire and love how realistic her characters are, especially the women.

Boyd and Queenie's story shows that you can find love in unexpected places and with unexpected people. Even though it felt a little overwhelming at times because things moved so fast, I loved how their story evolved and how understanding and lovely they were with each other.

I can't wait to read the next book in the series. Thank you, Tanja and BookSirens, for the ARC copy!

I absolutely adore this series. It shows the purest and sweetest forms of love. Each main character finds love in an unexpected way and they show each other the best kind of love and respect.

Queenie and Boyd conquered obstacles that most couples don’t have to face. Between their age gap, talking about Queenie’s disability, and the issues Queenie faced in high school there was a lot to unwrap in their relationship. But they pulled through and found the best of each other and held onto that in the harder times.

I’ve never had Blueberry Cake but after reading this sweet & spicy book I’m definitely considering making it now!
Boyd & Queenie have a shared yet unknown history. This definitely added an extra layer of flavor to this recipe for love. Their story is an unconventional meet-cute / revenge plot.
Tanja’s Naughty Dessert Series books are quick & easy reads. The characters are very refreshing & the spice is just the right amount!
I love grabbing one of her books as a refresher after a long series.

As the blurb said our FMC has been bullied by the MMC son and when Luke entered the picture I so wanted to rip his head of but as the plot progressed I was able to forget the past but not forgive like our fmc. But this was definitely one of my best reads of this year and kudos to our author for such sweet spicy tale.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I loved Queenies confidence and her straightforwardness. I loved how Boyd was truly understanding. The integrity this man had to put everything out in the open was phenomenal. Their communication was amazing. It was a realistic portrayal of relationships and how to build a foundation.

This book was written so well. Boyd and Queenie are so cute together. They are the couple that make the ‘awwww’ of romance books. It was so fun to read.

This is a new author for me and I felt the characters were likeable, strong and felt real. I really liked how open and honest Queenie and Boyd were, how they communicated with each other and how they faced their problems together. I also liked how Boyd showed the same level of respect and values outside of the bedroom that he showed in it. I believed in the connection and chemistry betwern Queenie and Boyd and enjoyed seeing their relationship turn into more than either of them thought.

Boyd and Queenie's story is romantic and steamy, with some drama, some humour, and wonderful characters. Boyd is 15 years older than Queenie. His son bullied her in high school, so I feel she was justified in turning Boyd away when they first met. From the first, they have chemistry and they seem to be made for each other. They now need to convince their friends and family of that fact. This book is well written and engaging. I'm looking forward to the next one in the series.

Unfortunately, Blueberry Cake completely missed the mark for me. The storyline felt really disjointed and didn’t flow well.

The story is written in 3rd person POV although, each chapter is presented as if the story line is a dual POV which was incredibly frustrating and misleading.

I did enjoy the disability rep and appreciated that the author did not make a constant reference to said disability. While there are some sweet moments throughout the story, it just wasn’t what I thought it was going to be.

Don’t be fooled by the sweet cute cover this is spicy! I love how there is representation in this series. There are important conversations between main characters on bullying and disability which they handle it so well. It’s pretty fast paced almost insta-love type of story so very fluffy but spicy.

My gosh this book was everything! What started out as a night of revenge quickly turned into the sweetest romance. I love how Boyd took amazing care of Queenie and how she did the same. The way they loved each other and did everything to make the other feel special was so sweet. Also Boyd standing on business with Luka about Queenie was *chef’s kiss* and made me love him even more! This was my absolute favorite from the series and I cannot wait for the next one!

I loved this book. It had plenty of spice and laugh out loud moments. It’s fast paced so it doesn’t feel like the story drags on forever. Minimal misunderstandings between characters which is a personal win for me. The only thing I didn’t care for was how easily the main characters agreed on all but one thing. It almost seemed too easy. Overall great story and will definitely be reading again sometime!

This was such a sweet read! I love how Queenie made Boyd work for it a little before she went out with him. There was some definite spice in this! I love the openness of the toys, and how HAWT it was when Boyd *cleaned* her. Plus some other moments that had me swooning, like the NSFW pic! I love how sweet they are together, and how they chatted about everything important. And the epilogue was fantastic! Great read!

Another delightful read by Tanja.

Really loved Queenie and Boyd's Story, particularly with regards to the situation she finds herself in with him and the history with his son.

Totally loved the plot, as when Boyd sees Queenie he just knows that she is the one, and doesn't care about her disability, and is devastated when he finds out what his son did to her when they were at school together.

From the very first meeting Boyd makes sure he is there for her, making her feel wanted and desired, whatever the circumstance, even if it means damaging his relationship with his son.

A really enjoyable read, with the story flowing so well and just loved their happily ever after. Definitely a feel good romance, with a good amount of spice - don't let the cover fool you!!

It was a great story. It was a sweet and romance of and page turner and the suspense was so intense. The chemistry between them was spicy and sizzling hot of passion between them in this moment. It was a cozy and funny moment of laughter and emotions of drama.

I highly recommend this book and you won't be disappointed.
