This was nutty. Absolutely bonkers. What is wrong with yall???

Basically, serial killer AKA the grinch dresses up as Santa and kills a bunch of people. Oddly, a really beautifully written ending

This story. This is the one right here. Best Christmas Horror read yet! Dorsch and DeRosa make one hell of a team. They both did a phenomenal job writing this horrific and twisted holiday tale. Marshall and Heather’s worlds eventually come together as one toward the end but in the beginning they both had their own worlds.

Marshall LOATHSSSSS Christmas. He has a lot of childhood trauma and eventually he succumbs to the brewing hatred inside him and completely SNAPS.

Then we have Heather. Heather is a young woman who’s always been rejected by her father. Nothing she does is enough for him. She’s also a lesbian and her father doesn’t approve. She’s lived in fear and shame her entire life but she finally decides to be true with him regardless of how he may react and treat her going forward.

This story has some extremely BRUTAL kills and I mean absolutely BRUTAL…

The scene with the kid and the mom specifically was just 😵‍💫🥜

There’s also a ton of gross-outs in this as well involving blisters, pus and poop. I had to take breaks during these scenes because when I say they’re gross. You just have to find out for yourself. I struggled. I gagged and I gagged. Fudge is totally ruined for me now. 🤮

Heavy GORE. Cannibalism. Extremely VIVID depictions of these acts happening to the point as if you’re actually there committing them yourself 🥴

Marshall’s renditions of Christmas songs had me singing them out loud as I was reading. 🎶😂

O Come All Ye Fearful was sick, twisted, visceral and full of dark humor. I can’t recommend this one high enough to add to your Holiday TBR. If you’re squeamish and have any triggers, you probably want to steer clear of this one🤣

Marshall hates Christmas with a passion. From the lights, to the carols, to his wifes decorations, he can't stand a single thing about the holidays. They bring painful memories from his childhood, and every year, he loathes this time of year. While his wife is in the kitchen baking cookies, Marshall has had enough and snaps. Nothing will stop him from doing what he's about to do.

Heather is in college getting ready to head home for Christmas, but she really doesn't want to. Her relationship with her dad is complicated because he doesn't accept her for who she really is. On top of not accepting her girlfriend Jane, she's flunking in school. After some convincing, she makes her way home, but what she doesn't know is of all the carnage that she'll be faced with.

From human flesh cookies to a human Christmas tree, this book was a jolly mean time! One of my favourite things was the songs Marshall sang. He put his own sick twist on your favourite Christmas songs, and I definitely enjoyed them all! You can feel Marshall's rage on each page. So much carnage and blood, this is one you won't want to put down. Both Dorsch and DeRosa created a mean, savage, yet super entertaining holiday read. They didn't hold back. This is a perfect stocking stuffer for anyone, and that ending will leave you shocked! Merry Creepmas you filthy animals! 🎄🔪🩸

Told in dual POVs this reads like two different Christmas stories, until it doesn’t. The contrast between the two serves to amplify the gruesome brutality of Marshall’s rampage while also amping up the tension from knowing that eventually his and Heather’s stories will collide.

Heather’s story will hit you directly in the heart, while Marahall’s will put you off of desserts and people.

O Come All Ye Fearful is a dark, gruesome, and unapologetically twisted take on the holiday season. This isn’t your typical Christmas story—Dorsch and DeRosa have crafted something equal parts horrifying and enthralling. If you’re into extreme horror with graphic detail and an undercurrent of black humor, this book is your ticket to a truly terrifying holiday experience. 🎄☠️

The story primarily follows Marshall Steele, a butcher with a deep-seated hatred for Christmas, fueled by a traumatic childhood and years of suppressed rage. His disdain for the holiday culminates in a bloody, horrifying spree of violence that will leave readers both cringing and captivated.

🚨 Spoiler Alert 🚨
Marshall’s breaking point comes when his wife Margaret’s festive preparations push him over the edge. In one of the book’s most chilling scenes, Marshall turns a simple kitchen tool—a cookie cutter—into a weapon, brutally murdering Margaret while gingerbread dough sits half-prepped on the counter. The way her blood mingles with the scent of holiday cookies is disturbingly vivid and sets the tone for the horrors to come.

From there, Marshall’s descent into madness is both relentless and grotesque. The arrival of a group of cheerful carolers seems innocent enough, but the story reaches its macabre peak here. Marshall drugs the women, drags them to his basement, and subjects them to unspeakable torment—candy canes become weapons, Christmas lights become choking devices, and even the concept of a holiday feast is twisted into a nightmare as he “prepares” one of the carolers like a stuffed turkey.

The authors excel in creating an atmosphere that’s as darkly comedic as it is horrifying. Marshall’s gleeful commentary as he enacts his twisted version of holiday cheer makes him both revolting and strangely compelling. The visceral descriptions of violence are not for the faint of heart, but for fans of extreme horror, they are masterfully written.

Despite the gore and depravity, the story has a surprising depth. Marshall’s hatred for Christmas stems from genuine trauma, and the book offers glimpses into the pain and rejection that shaped him. It’s not enough to excuse his actions, but it adds layers to his character and makes the story more than just shock value.

If you’re ready for a holiday tale like no other, O Come All Ye Fearful will take you on a rollercoaster of blood, insanity, and dark humor. Just make sure you don’t read it while eating gingerbread cookies. 😉

Ummm wow wow and more wow!!!! This would be a fantastic horror Christmas movie. If you read this book you know, if you haven't. What are you doing with your life right now. This book start off crazy and doesn't let up! AT ALL!!!
Or maybe I lied, you get the first two chapters and then boom 💥.

I love the way both authors go back and forth from Heather a lesbian going to a school she doesn't like, going to propose to her girlfriend but has to go home for the holidays which she doesn't enjoy at all. To Marshall which is just a moody man that hate Christmas 🎄, life and really anything that comes his way.... Then one day he snaps. When I say he snaps . He goes buck wild and makes all his fantasy come true and man I am here for the ride!

He is like Art the Clown but talking and on a mission to Fk things up. This book caught me with my mouth wide open not one , two ,but more then I can even count. I laughed, was kicking my feet, yelling no her didn't, I was shocked, had to listen to a few parts again like WTF did I just read but loved ever single minute of it. These authors came together and maybe something that was a peace of cake for the holidays! Then I eat it up in one day!!! Cause I just couldn't stop.

I do have to say I am a little sad it is over and instead of watching my yearly holiday movie why I wrap presents I listed to still book and this book doesn't disappoint at all!!!! If you want a book that will give you all the feeling for the holidays. This one is it.

You two killed it!!!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 I even hand clapped at the end. All by myself at 12am at night. 🤣

Favorite quote: I should have asked Santa for a craftsman 🤣

Hear ye, hear ye! LET IT NEVER, EVER BE SAID THAT WOMEN CANNOT WRITE SPLATTERPUNK OR EXTREME HORROR!!! These ladies fucking bring it!! This book does not fuck around! If some jackoff says some bullshit about women not being able to write horror, or totally go to that sick place when it's called for, then fuck that jerk! Okay, I'm alright, I'm okay. My rant is over. What I'm really here to say is that I loved this book!!! This is splatterpunk with a capital 'P'! This book takes on themes of family disfunction, abuse, corporate greed, and the commercialization of supposedly sacred holidays. There's also exploration of grief and loss, dealing with that grief and overcoming it and, most pointedly, overcoming personal tragedy and letting that experience guide you into finding your true inner strength and becoming who you really are. All those wonderful, thought-provoking themes are wrapped up in beautiful brutality, in elegant extremity, in glorious gore-soaked violence! This is the real deal! The cover art only hints at the treasures hidden inside! What a wonderful Christmas gift!!

So there I was, excited to NOT read any Xmas horror in December, full Scrooge mode. Then you guys started dropping all these awesome sounding holiday horror stories with equally awesome covers and twisted my fucking arm. Especially after I saw Carietta Dorsch & Sarah DeRosa collabing, I knew that dynamic duo would bring us a tale we would need deep therapy to forget.

Quick Synopsis:
To say Marshall loathes Christmas would be an understatement. He’s everything the Grinch wishes he could be. Just a lot less passive-aggressive and a lot more “baptize you in battery acid” & “wear your skin” with it. Meanwhile, Heather is not having the best holiday. What’s already a rough time for her turns homicidal as she crosses paths with Mr. BahHumbug himself. Only one of them will have a holly, jolly Xmas but it’s going to be a close call. 😰

If you want scathing detail & buckets of gore, you go to Sarah DeRosa. If you want insidious trauma & unfathomable death scenes, you go to Carietta Dorsch. Put them together & what have you got? A fucked up, yet festive killing spree that might make you rethink what Christmas decorations you put out next year and how much damage those sharp-edged ornaments could dole out. 👀 Marshall is a loathsome, crazed animal with a fucked up origin story that makes you “get it,” but also like….ok maybe 2-3 bodies? We could look the other way. But uhhh, I’m sure he broke some kind of records here. Then we have Heather who we are all rooting for, but YEESH does she have her work cut out for her. If you want some visceral cheer or perhaps a slashery seasons greetings, this is one for you. You won’t necessarily come out loving the holidays more but…you’ll be grateful you survived them. 🎁

This was brutal. It had some laugh out loud moments which felt weird given how extreme and relentless the violence was. There were truly some creative kills in the story, a few images will remain engraved in my depraved little brain for life (especially every time I decorate a Christmas tree)! Dorsch and Derosa don’t hold back one bit and manage to hit all the triggers in this devilish holiday tale!

This story comes in hard and stays there for a whopping 124 pages. Keeping up this level of extreme for such a length of time in itself is an accomplishment, not to mention the originality and attention to detail. This one pushed my limits, definitely not for the faint of heart. Check all your triggers at the door.
