Rate this book
Casey Parker thought surviving her past was the hardest thing she’d ever face, but the darkness is far from over.

With her stepfather finally in the crosshairs of the motorcycle club, secrets she thought she’d buried forever are rising to the surface. As the club unravels a web of corruption involving Casey’s family, she finds herself drawn deeper into their dangerous world—and closer to Felix, the one person who infuriates her as much as he intrigues her.

But trust is a luxury Casey can’t afford. Her mother’s lies are catching up with them, and a shocking revelation threatens to change everything Casey thought she knew about her family—and herself.

The stakes are higher, the enemies are deadlier, and the truth could destroy them all.

Will Casey finally find the strength to take control of her life, or will her past pull her under for good?

If I could give less stars I would. I was hoping it would be better than the first but unfortunately it was messy and boring.

Very disjointed, no flow or continuous plot

The synopsis of the book made it sound appealing and it started off okay. The FMC had enough of her situation and was going to fight back against her evil stepfather. Good premise.

However the execution was awful and not at all fulfilling. A chapter would end on an amazing cliffhanger, then the next chapter would be on completely different storyline. Like the author started the book out again and forgot to end their first draft. Then later on, the antagonist is a completely different character out of nowhere and you still don't know how things ended with the first antagonist.

The story jumped around a lot with no indication of how much time had passed. Also why are the 18 year olds of an MC making the decisions and not the pres, VP, etc? And it seemed like there was going to be a romantic connection on one of the storyline, but it never made it there. There are so many unanswered plot points that I'm left using my own imagination for how I wanted each of these different storyline to end. Like a choose your own adventure but I wasn't given any options.

I wouldn't recommend this book unless you like multiple cliffhangers and am incoherent storyline.

Confusing story line.

The book started on chapter 6 and was a continuation of the first one, but somewhere along the way it veered into a different story with some of the same characters with different roles. The main antagonist's name changed and what at first seemed like an ending was given. It then gave a second ending to replace the first. It felt like a choose-your-own-ending story and seemed to have left the original book in the dust. I liked the premise of the story, but the confusion in the storyline and plot was agitating.
I will go on to the 3rd book as I am curious to see if it begins to make sense again.

Read it because I always finish a series.

Once I start a series, I finish it, 95% of the time. It has to be awful for me to stop during the first book or not read the next one. The whiplash changes between characters is hard to keep up with and a bit disjointed. The story seems to jump around a bit too much for me. The action part of it isn’t horrible, but little inconsistency are easy to spot.

Mind-boggling

This book is so confusing. It starts out with one plot and then moves onto to have 3 or 4 different plots which don't mesh together at all. Some characters stay the same, some names change, some characters pop up out of nowhere but you are expected to know who they are!!! I know there is a part to this story but I won't be reading it. Sorry Author but pick one plot and see it through to the end before changing it to something else with the same names!

Meh

At the beginning of the book it was actually pretty good you know. Casey just wanted to get away from her abusive stepfather who was also dealing with some shady stuff, but then it jumped to I don't know where and all of a sudden there's a Victor now instead of a Carter it went all over the place and I completely lost interest I mean I finished it this part of it I'm not going to continue with the next one I don't like it

ugh

Nope. It reading the third book. It has such great potential to be an amazing story line and have amazing characters. But it jumps around so much, characters no longer make sense since it seems a lot of information is just skipped over. A lot of details are missing so some events or drama do not make sense. I wanted it to be sooo good. But I can’t handle the back and forth and just very un-put together it is.

Disappointing

It story started off good, and then it jumps all over the place. It feels like you're skipping. Chapters. there is a lack of information. And then all of a sudden, there is a Victor instead of a Carter. It's just all sorts of chaos in this book, I'm not worth the read.

So dang confusing!

Book one started off pretty good, but once we got to book two, things took a turn. Characters names and titles started changing. I’m was beginning to think I was reading a completely different series. Definitely couldn’t finish book two and can’t even think about reading book three.

Just not so good

Can tell this isn't his original work. It's off one of those pay per chapter sights. The characters change names half way through and funnily enought he series was never completed. The story had potential, just don't think he actually paid attention and the fact he says true story is laughable.

Doesn't make sense

I read the 1st installment and it seemed to flow ok. This one is all over the place, like different plot lines for the same time frames and then completely changing the direction altogether. The names of characters change, too. Or new ones juzt show up with no back story to where they fit in. Don't recommend.

What?

I’m not sure what happened but I won’t be finishing this book. It’s jumping around and the story doesn’t make any sense. Hopefully the author will fix it because I think it has the possibility for a good story line but when things are jumping around there’s no reason for me to finish it.

Chapters out of order

I'm very disappointed that I paid for a book that is not complete. The chapters are out of order and then repeat themselves multiple times. I read the first and second books, and it never explains why Casey is important to blaze and chapters keep repeating.

Plot problems

In the middle of the book, there are several restarts of the storyline, none of which address the lead character's capture by her stepfather, and the start of a rescue attempt. Everything just starts over in her home, several times.

what did I just read!

This was horrible. The author just dropped the first story right in the middle of it and started a completely different story and characters. Don’t waste your time. It is not worth it.

Not the greatest

This story was part 2 of 2 books. It was very interesting at first, but then it went downhill bouncing all over the place.

Awful Read

The second book doesn’t match the first. The characters and whole plot shift. Feels like a totally different story line. Terrible all around.

Mixed up story

Don't waste your time, starts as one story then midway it gets mixed up, plot and names change and it is not even finished

author needs to proofread

Halfway through what seems to be a good story the author screws up the order of the story. Has different characters and bad guys. Ridiculous

jumbled

Storyline was all over the place it didn’t make sense. It wasn’t pieced together very well compared to the first part.

Lost

It's like it's two stories completely. Chapter 18 seems like the cliffhanger of one ending, and 19 is another completely different story. Carter is the bag guy in the first 18 and then it's Victor. What is going on in this book?
