Especially one as sexy and tantalizing as Asher. This book is a sexy rock stars meeting at a bar, boy bands, and hot an spicy. A great read if you enjoy bad boys in band and twist and turn. The plot thickens as the book reads on!!!.

Layken is a daughter of werewolves whose parents went 'rogue' when she was a kid since their Alpha changed to one that wanted nothing to do with witchcraft. She has a necklace around her throat. Asher is also a werewolf who went away to college, but never returned to his pack in Arkansas. His pack now lives in NYC. But Asher has a secrets that he has never shared with his pack. While at college ,he dabbled in witchcraft and ended up cursed so that he has a silver ring on his hand that won't come off and he can't shift or have the extra senses that werewolves possess. Asher had joined a band as singer/songwriter until he met Layken after a performance and an one-night stand. After Layken is mugged, Asher arranges security thru his pack's company. There continues to be attacks for both Layken and her mother. Who is behind the attacks? Why? What is found in Layken's things that may stop the curse? Will Layken and Asher have a future together?.

Under Attack . . .

Layken and Asher are wolf shifters who got themselves into a little unexpected problem. They left the bar and headed off together to enjoy their evening. She leads him to Macy’s apartment since she knows Macy won’t be there tonight. And they finally think to ask each other’s name! He sees an amulet on her neck and momentarily seems to react to it, but he is distracted with their current “activities” going on as they meld together. When Macy comes home early, Asher goes out the window.

Two months pass, and Asher finds himself always looking for Layken. His silver ring won’t come off and burns, but thoughts of her distract him more. Neither one of them are able to shift. And when Layken is mugged, will Asher find a way to protect her through his security team? Will they find some way of getting the silver items off of them? Or will the attacker continue relentlessly until she achieves the revenge she wants?

We have shifters and magic what else do you need 😊 Layken and Asher are both wolf shifters from different pack who land in a little hot water playing with magic they both ended up with one with a silver necklace with a gargoyle the other with a silver ring with a gargoyle and each item burns but there is nothing neither can do about it. They meet each other in a bar each notice the items, but both distracted by each other to really ask about the ring or the necklace leaving together for a little one on one time. A few months pass, both played in a band and they both wonder even look for the other unable to find one another yet things keep happening Layken is mugged yet through other happenings they still find each other but where are they headed, will they find out how to rid themselves of the silver bands, and will they understand the balance finding happiness somewhere along the way?

The Rockstar Shifter Protector is a phenomenal shifter romance which I found to be quite entertaining and an enjoyable read. I didn’t want to set this book down for a single second, this book has a captivating plot, wonderful characters, and a marvelous outcome for the main characters. I absolutely adored getting to know Asher and Layken who I thought to be quite interesting and intriguing at the same time. I couldn’t get enough of Asher and Layken’s remarkable story and I was slightly disappointed with how this book ended. I would have loved to see their story to continue. However, I did love reading this book and I would absolutely encourage other readers to checkout this amazing book and give it a read. I can’t wait to read more amazing books from this author in the future.

The Rockstar Shifter Protector is Book 4 of the District of Wolf Desires series. It is a short and steamy, instalove, OTT, opposites-attract, friends to lovers, paranormal fated mates, curvy girl gets her rockstar wolf shifter romance. Layken is a curvy wolf shifter who is a college student. Asher is a hunky wolf shifter and singer-songwriter. Both have dabbled in magic, causing themselves some problems. They meet one night and have a hot one night stand and part ways. But neither can stop thinking about the other. Then, Layken is attacked, and Asher is determined to protect her. This was a great, fast-paced story with hot chemistry, danger, mystery, magic, curses, and a happy ending. It seemed to end too fast, but I still loved it.

What happens when you are a shifter and you play with magic? Well both Layken and Asher find out. They did not know each other and were from different packs. Asher ended up with a silver ring on his finger with a gargoyle on it, while Layden ended up with a silver necklace with a gargoyle on it. They both tried to get them off but they could not do it. Both Layken and Asher were in bands. So many trials and tribulations for both of them. They were really attracted to each other, but neither could shift. They had to find a way to get rid of the silver.

Layken and Asher’s story continues the District of Wolf Desires series in a magical way ! They have both been cursed and are unable to shift into their wolf forms, yet as mates they still find each other. I love how the author added music and magic together to create this 5⭐️ read. The storyline is spot on and the characters new and old are multifaceted and well worth loving . 5✨’s and I can’t wait for the next book in the series.

This one didn’t capture my attention like the previous 3 books in this series. It seemed like there was a long wait for all of the interesting stuff to happen and to get to the point of the story. It’s a shame really since I have enjoyed all of the other books that Sloan has written.

I now understand why Asher was avoiding Rucker when he first came back to the pack though, so it has filled some gaps in with the overall story of the pack.

Fun but short read.

From the start of the book you get some spice. 🫣🥵🫣 This story was fun to read. Asher and Layken have a lot in common and are drawn to each other. She's a drummer in a band. He's a lead singer and guitarist in a different band. He wants to protect her after a couple of bad close calls. Both are cursed after some miss haps with magic. The plot thickens as the book reads on.

The book is written so well and the story leaves you wanting more. Looking forward to see what happens next with the pack. I really hope James gets a HEA.

This story was fun to read as Layken and Asher get it on but magic, trouble, drama and some twists add to all the fun. The added fun of a silver magic ring and necklace add to the story. Plus the mix of bands, wolves and other chaos add to everything to give a fun read. Enjoyed it all.

The book was ok. A nice story nothing too exciting. They both had done magic that went wrong. So they both had jewelry that they could not take off. Both acted kinda young in age. There was no shifting since the cursed jewelry would not let them. It had a good story line.
