An investigation goes awry. Their world gets turned upside down. Embers ignite in close proximity.
FBI Agent Gabe Long finds himself reluctantly assigned to keep an eye on Sebastian Roth after the detective meets with a couple of too-related-to-be-coincidental “accidents.” He isn’t too happy about having to play babysitter to a stubborn, impulsive, and relentless investigator who won’t let go of a dangerous pedophile ring case, but the man has clearly gotten himself into some hot water.
Frankie Zolnai is a skilled physical therapist known for his compassion and commitment to his patients. His warm smile and gentle demeanor create a safe space for those in need of healing. At the request of his best friend, Newt, Frankie agrees to provide PT to Sebastian after an accident leaves Sebastian injured.
Gabe and Frankie’s paths cross and as the two connect over their shared medical knowledge, sparks fly. As the two men get to know each other, Gabe reveals things about his past very few people know. Frankie quickly becomes a person Gabe can count on to be there—a rare thing for Gabe.
Gabe wasn’t looking for love, but that might just be what found him—in the most interesting of ways.
Trigger Violence, death, mentions of kidnapping, and other crimes against children.
Evie Riley believes too much time spent at the beach is barely enough. She enjoys spending time puttering in the garden, cooking yummy things for her family, and has a quirky personality, described by her partner as ranging from cute to deadly, depending on her blood-chocolate levels.
Evie crafts steamy gay male romance filled with all the edgy angst, or dark and gritty romantic suspense where her men must overcome difficult obstacles and may find love along the way while dishing out their own brand of justice.
Evie spends her nights writing bad boys in love, and her days wrangling the sweet boys she loves.
I really enjoyed this book and thought that it was another good addition to the Federal Protection Agency Series, and one of my favourite of the series so far. This book covers some heavy topics so please take note of the trigger warnings. Gabe, Frankie, Sebastian & Newt are on the run after both Sebastian & Newt were targeted by those who’re after Sebastian and his brother Damien.
They’ve been on the run from the Italian mafia after they witnessed their parents being executed by the head of the Mariano Family, David Russo, then they testified against him and have been in pretty much WitSec for nearly 20 years but they been doing on their own as after 5 years in WitSec their handler was killed, so they knew there had to be a mole within the FBI and it was best to protect themselves.
This is the longest time that they’ve stayed in one place and they’ve actually started to settle in to life in Baton Rouge until things turned to sh*t are their past came back to haunt them. The director of the FBI visited Sebastian in hospital and wanted Damien and Sebastian to go into WitSec again. FBI Agent Gabe who’d been protecting Sebastian with the help of Newt’s roommate and best friend decide to take matters into their own hands, against the directors orders and go into hiding while they investigate since they really don’t know who they can trust within the agency.
I thought Gabe & Frankie were great together, they make an amazing team and their chemistry was completely off the charts. I loved seeing them slowly drop their walls where the other is concerned. I hope we get some answers regarding Damien during the next book. I’m looking forward to reading Logan next, as well as more books from Evie Riley in the future. I’d recommend this book, series and author to others.
What an investigation 4.6 stars In this book Gabe which is the eighth book in the series we continue with the brothers, Sebastian and Damian Roth who have been hiding from the mafia for many years but they couldn’t stay hidden any more with the explosion at their flat, they found them self on the run again. But this time Sebastian got hurt. So along, came Newt Seb’s Boyfriend and Frankie, Newt’s best friend and a physical therapist on the run with them and Gabe is a FBI agent. Gabe is on the hunt for more information to find out who the mole in the FBI. Him and Frankie rub each other up the wrong way. But what is this energy they have?? Could it be attraction? After all once they got to the safe house they were once again sharing a bedroom and a bed. I don’t wanna tell you too much that was going on in this book because it’s a very fast paced investigation. And the attraction between Frankie and Gabe are hot, hot hot. The passion these two share is electric, but it is how their connection grew so fast that really got me. Although it was distressing to hear about Frankie childhood school life procedure it just made him feel more vulnerable to me, and strangely Gabe is the perfect man to reassure him an offer love and support. Another great read, and I cannot wait to read more from Eve Riley.

This is the eighth book in the Federal Protection Agency series and FBI agent Gabe is on protection detail for Sebastian, a detective on the run from the mob, along with Newt, Sebastian’s boyfriend, and Frankie, Newts friend and a physical therapist along to help in Sebastian’s recovery. Fleeing in a motor home after stealing Sebastian from the hospital, they head for a small safe house while Sebastian recovers from his injuries, hoping to stay off the radar of their pursuers long enough for him to heal. Gabe and Sebastian are also trying to track down the head of a pedophile ring tied to missing babies and young children given up for adoption. While all this is going on, Frankie and Gabe eventually submit to an attraction to each other, both finding someone they never expected to care for.
There is lots of action and interwoven threads trying to follow leads on the child sex ring as well as evade capture by the mob; people are murdered, good and bad; relationships grow for Gabe and Frankie and Newt and Sebastian; and all four get much more familiar with a swamp than any would wish. Lots of twists and turns, and a few red herrings make for an interesting and engaging read.

Gabe (Federal Protection Agency 8) continues with the Roth brothers’ story as they escape from the hospital under the eyes of the compromised FBI with the help of agent Gabe, along with Newt and Frankie. Sebastian is still bedridden for a significant proportion of the book as this is mostly Frankie’s and Gabe’s story as they argue and finally kiss. We get to find out how the two guys became who they are and what they want from life. In the process they get to uncover the paedophile ring and go a long way to ensure their love gets a chance to grow.
There are moments of tension and danger along the way as Gabe’s position in the FBI is undermined. Not everyone they meet is quite the person they thought. There are a few surprises as well as some loose ends left to solve.
I’m not entirely sure which side of bonkers this book is but it’s a fun ride all the same. The bad guys get their comeuppance and the innocent live to see another day.

Eve Riley writes sensational romance/suspense, and we are taken into worlds we are happy we don't belong to. The blurb covers the basics. The FBI man, Gabe, is supposed to be the bodyguard for Sebastian, who has been hunted by organized crime for years and has just escaped another attempt on his life. They are in a safe house in Nowhere, LA, along with Newt, Sebastian's nurse and lover, and Frankie, the Physical Therapist and Newt's best friend. Complicated enough yet? There are numerous complications, all of which the author handles very well. Meanwhile, each member of this group is in danger almost all the time. When Frankie finally kisses Gabe after finding him passed out at a bus stop, the romance starts. This is a very masculine romance-not much sweetness and light. But hiding out gives them plenty of time to discuss their past lives and why they are doing what they do. They are all likable men. There are twists and turns at the end, which we don't see coming.

Alright, I’ll admit it—the mafia romance genre is growing on me, and Eve Riley is absolutely to blame. Gabe, the latest installment in her Federal Protection Agency series, has completely hooked me. This is my second dive into her gritty world of organized crime, and I’m here for it!
In this high-stakes thriller, we follow Sebastian, Damian, Newt, Frankie, and, of course, Gabe, as they dodge bullets and bad guys while uncovering a horrifying pedophile ring. The stakes are sky-high with the Roth brothers plotting their strike against the Mariano family. And let me tell you—Ms. Riley is a queen when it comes to writing complex, multi-layered characters. She doesn’t sugarcoat the brutality of the mafia world; she dives straight into the chaos, action, violence, and steamy moments, making it all feel disturbingly real.
And that final cameo from Alex and Garrison? If you haven’t read Courting Danger yet, do yourself a favor and start now. I’m officially hooked on this series, and I’ll be devouring the rest of the Federal Protection Agency books faster than a mob boss takes control.
I have no idea how this author does it, but she catches me off guard every time. I just don't see where and when the "baddies" are and even guessing who they are. Eve Riley has me believing the good in and trusting all the characters unless she has indicated they can't be trusted. There is no manner or means to extricate me from the story or to just put it away until another day. It has been a few years now that I first started the Federal Protection Agency series and the investigations and tactics used are up to date with modern technology. Everything is new with each book. Part of the Roth brothers has been resolved, but not all and the pedophile ring seems to be taken over or the head of the ring not yet caught. What will Gabe's next step be and will he be included in Logan's investigation? I received a copy from Booksprout and this is my honest and voluntary review.
Tense. Det Sebastian Roth, has a few too many "accidents" for them to be a coincidence. FBI Agent Gabe Long is assigned to make sure he doesn't get hurt. Det Roth, is investigating a pedophile ring. Frankie, is the physical therapist assigned to Sebastian when he finally gets hurt. Gabe and Frankie connect over shared health experiences and they open up to each other finding an ally. Gabe and Frankie both drag some serious baggage which hopefully won't impede their fight against the bad guys. Excellent story, great characters, supportive friendships. The author does an amazing job with this installment of the FPA's agents holding the line and keeping us on the edge of our seats. Good cover art! Nicely done. I receivved an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Gabe is in charge of protecting Detective Sebastian, he meets Frankie, who is Sebastian's PT when he gets injured. Gabe seems robotic and uncaring, but the truth is he cares too much he is just unable to show that he cares. He is socially inept and doesnt always know how to interact with people. Frankie is best friends with Newt who is Sebastian's nurse as well as his boyfriend. They are all on the run and Gabe cant trust anyone but the four of them. This is the story of how Frankie and Gabe, who have chemistry off the charts, develop their relationship and try to find out a way to stop the men trying to kill them all.

I was so impressed by how much detail went into Frankie's development. Especially around the treatment with his hair. Because as a black woman who has worn braided styles I've never felt so seen in a romance book. I really loved that he had his friends help one morning and that it was mentioned that it took years to build that trust. And black hair is hard. I've definitely wondered what it would be like for me if I had to go in witness protection considering I do use different products than most people. I appreciated this take a lot. The action was great. Was wondering if Gabe was on the spectrum a little based on his wording. But thoroughly enjoyed!
I just finished Gabe, the eighth installment in the Federal Protection Agency series, and it did not disappoint! Although I skipped over book 7, I was able to quickly get into the story. Gabe and Frankie make a fantastic pair and have great chemistry. As with the other books in the series, this one is packed with mystery and action.
I will say, the subject matter is a bit disturbing, so be prepared for that. However, the plot is well-crafted, and the pacing is spot-on. Overall, Gabe is a great read that I would highly recommend. Now, I'm off to catch up on book 7!
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
This is sort of part two of Sebastian in the Federal Protection Agency series. Sebastian had been hurt badly by an explosion and he jumped out the second floor window to save Newt. Gabe who is FBI took Sebastian, Newt and Frankie away from the team of agents at the hospital to a safe house in an RV. They have a two groups after both Damien (his brother) and Sebastian, a pedophile ring and a mafia boss, plus the FBI after Gabe. Frankie is a physical therapist and Newt is a nurse/EMT. This storyline had so many twists and turns I did expect. It will keep you on the edge of your seat and turning pages until the end.
"Gabe" is book 8 in the Federal Protection Agency series. It picks up where "Sebastian" left off when the guys fled the hospital. The book is a quick easy read. All of the characters are wonderful. There is great chemistry between Gabe and Frankie but I also love the friendship between Frankie and Newt. There is romance, suspense and a few twists and turns along the way. When I finish a book by Eve Riley, I am always looking forward to the next one.

I loved Gabe (Federal Protection Agency Book 8). Gabe and Frankie are on the run with Sebastian and Newt. Gabe is taking a chance disobeying the FBI and it seems someone is trying to frame him. Things are finally come to a head, they may find the head of the trafficking ring. Gabe finally gives into his feelings for Frankie after he is hurt and Frankie takes care of him. There is lots of drama, suspense and steamy scenes. Also a few surprises. I would definitely recommend this book and the series.

Gabe is the the 8th book in the Federal Protections Agency series. Gabe and Frankie, along with Sebastian and Newt, are on the run, defying the FBI while being targeted by someone who seems intent on framing Gabe. As they close in on the leader of a trafficking ring, Gabe’s emotions come to a head, especially after he’s injured and Frankie takes care of him. Their growing feelings for each other intensify amidst the drama and suspense, which is punctuated by steamy moments and unexpected twists. I'm lookin forward to the next book in this series.
FBI agent Gabe is assigned to watch Detective Sebastian and meets Frankie, a physical therapist when Sebastian is injured. This is their story. Gabe appears heartless and emotionless but really feels deeply and gives his all to his protectees. Frankie has had a hard life but is a true caregiver and the two have such chemistry they burn up the sheets. Full of action, betrayals, violence and intrigue, the story has you holding your breath for their safety and so caught up in what happens. I loved it! I received a copy of this book through Book sprout and this is my honest opinion.
This is book eight of the series and continues on from were book seven finished. FBI agent Gabe is trying to keep injured Sebastian, Newt and Frankie safe while on the run someone is trying to frame him and he doesn’t know who he can trust he finds himself talking to Frankie as they grow closer before they finally give in to their attraction, the story is packed with suspense, action and mystery and Gabe and Frankie bring down the pedophile ring but we have a few unexpected twists and turns and there is still a lot of loose ends some of which will hopefully be resolved in the next book.
While in hiding Gabe and Frankie find themselves getting closer. When the people Gabe is protecting get bombed he takes them into hiding. Stephen who is trying to investigate a pedophile ring has had too many accidents and is in hospital after a bomb at his apartment but FBI Agent Gabe know he is too vulnerable there so he take Shphen, his brother Damien, Newt his partner and a nurse plus Frankie who is Newt's best friend and a physical therapist and heads for a remote cabin.

This was a bit of a different read for me, I don't usually read FBI on the run stories but I really enjoyed it. It's a story about looking out for friends in time of need and discovering what your limits are.
Two friends go on the run with an injured friend to help him recover and they're protected by an FBI agent who doesn't know who he can trust in his agency. The group is on the run from an underground paedophile / human trafficking ring and a monster who are trying to kill them. There's some good plots twists, an engaging storyline and characters who find love in unexpected places.

Great book and action packed! Gabe is in charge of everyone's safety and while being their protector he falls in love with Frankie. The two take the lead on snooping and helping Sabastian with his investigation, This leads to murder, betrayal and a shootout that will have you on the edge of your seat! You will enjoy this book, trust me!.

FBI agent, Gabe, has been protecting Sebastian, Newt and Frankie. When things take a dangerous turn and he doesn’t know who to trust he takes them away to a safe house against orders. His feelings for Frankie are more than just protecting. Hot, steamy, edge of you seat story with amazing chemistry, danger, suspense, mystery, intrigue and a wonderful HEA.

Gabe is the eighth book in the Federal Protection Agency Series. This is Gabe and Frankie's story. As they work together to look after Sebastian, they find themselves growing closer to each other. Gabe also finds himself sharing parts of himself he's kept hidden. This is a wonderful story. Liked it.

Gabe is the eighth book in the Federal Protection Agency and they are not standalone, though each book has a new couple. For this book it is really important to at least read Sebastian as the story from that book continues here. I loved the friendship between Newt and Frankie, so sweet. Gabe is reluctant to watch over Sebastian but he does, in this he meets Frankie and they catch a spark very quickly. This was an exciting book to read with great adventure and everything you expect from Eve Riley.
These men meet and connect through their work and their ideals - and they've seen and experienced dark, innocence shattering, otherwise damaging, and deadly things.
Intense suspense action and drama with violent overtones, and those who fight for those who cannot.

This series has always gotten more interesting with each new book. Gabe and Frankie's story continues that trend. I read through this quickly and enjoyed it.
What an abrupt ending!! Where does everyone go from here and do Damien & Sensation meet up again? I hope there will be another book in this series so we're not all left hanging!
Gabe, Frankie, Sebastian, and Newt are on the run and don't know who to trust. The more Gabe and Frankie get to know each other the more they want each other. The more they learn about the people after them the more they know how dangerous they are. I really enjoyed this book.
Gabe and Frankie were introduced in the previous book and should be read in order. This book is a direct sequel to Sebastian and picks up where that story ends. Gabe is the agent charged with keeping Sebastian, Newt and Frankie safe. The four are on the run from the mafia, a dangerous pedophile ring and the FBI. With forced proximity it’s only natural the two single men find themselves thrown together and sparks fly. The two work together to break up a criminal ring and find closure and safety for the Roth brothers. This one has more steam than other stories in the series and there’s more action than syrupy romance which I enjoyed.
