My pretty little Storm didn’t want a knight in shining armor to save her from captivity.
Which was good, because my reputation wasn’t built on being prince-like to damsels in distress. No, it was built on being a psychotic menace who often played surgeon with my targets before I eliminated them.
That was precisely what I did to the men who harmed Olivia Everett before I saved her from the Velvet Cage.
I stalked them. I hunted them. And then I delivered their missing pieces to her on a silver platter. Piece by piece, I healed her brokenness with those souvenirs. But I had to do it quickly.
Because Olivia was keeping a secret when I found her that night.
The leader of the Velvet Cage took more than just her freedom from her. He took away her consent. And the consequences were growing in her belly.
But as my pretty little Storm recovered in my dark penthouse, I made a vow to her.
I’d spend the rest of my days protecting her. Keeping her. Loving her, and her baby.
However, would my desire to avenge her suffering ultimately return her to the dangers of the Velvet Cage?

It’s definitely a 5-star read, but I gave it four because I wanted more details on how he killed Damon. I also disliked how easily Damon was taken down.

Some descriptions weren’t detailed enough for me to fully grasp what was happening at times. Also, as I mentioned before, some transitions felt too fast—it moved abruptly from one point to another. However, I appreciated that it slowed down again to highlight the dynamic between them.

I loved how he hunted down the men who were after her and her baby. I also appreciated that there was no frustrating miscommunication and that there was some groveling and genuine maturity in their relationship. He actually worked hard to regain her trust, which I really liked.

As for the spicy scenes, they were well done, though there were moments when I wasn’t entirely sure about some details or didn’t fully understand certain parts—but it was minor. I guess it doesn’t hurt to overlook it.

The twists, the labor scene, the baby not breathing at first, the kidnapping—it was all a rollercoaster, and I truly enjoyed every part of the book.

Now, I need to read Dane’s book and find out what’s coming next for Tamen!

I love all of her books, as soon as you start reading your hooked there is no slow start to them and this book is no exception! The spice, the story line, the man!! With this being the second book in the series it was great to see those characters in this one as well and the hints of things that happened from that book (made me chuckle when Olivia didn't know why Peyton and Dane wouldnt go to the corn maze in their town haha) Maddox is the perfect man and for real a little pissed off my husband doesn't treat me this way lol! I cannot wait for the third one with that little snipet at the end of the book!!

Ally has knocked it out of the park again with the second book in the Line Walkers series! “Psycho” is an absolute thrill ride! I was completely unprepared to be pulled into this book so deeply that four hours flew by without me even moving an inch. Forget about chores or work—this story had my undivided attention!

The unfolding saga of Olivia and Maddox had me hooked from the start. Maddox's protective instincts kick in immediately, and he sees right through Olivia’s barriers to uncover her hidden secrets. What I adore most is how he doesn’t judge her at all; he genuinely likes her and is determined to keep her safe. The way Liv keeps calling Maddox a bear melts my heart! His sweet, thoughtful gestures—like foraging for daily gifts for her—are just the cutest but still unexpected from such a large and in charge kinda man!

If you’ve had the pleasure of reading any A.M. McCoy book, you know her steamy scenes are on fire! And let me tell you, Ally doesn’t make you wait around for that electric tension between the characters. Nope, she dives right in, serving up the spicy moments without delay!

The plot, the characters, the romance—it was all perfection in my eyes! I adored every second of it, and I cannot recommend this series enough! Now, I’m on a mission to find my own bear of a man! 🤣🫶🏼

I’m loving this series. It’s not exactly what I expected (see summary for book 1) but with no expectations, it’s awesome. I say that because I expected it to be darker and have more plot. The guys might be psychopaths but soooo marshmallow for their girl that they just seem like cuddly teddy bears. Sex is not crazy (somewhat vanilla) and the guy in this book is a pleasure dom so he is 100% there for her and frequently doesn’t seek him own ending😂. There’s a bit more violence/ gore in this book but it’s still probably only a 2 or 3 out of 5. I’d say there’s also a bit more plot in this book with a big dramatic twist/ ending (but bulk of the book is mostly just🌶️).

My biggest complaint is we get little to no information about the male characters or their background. We know they grew up together in abusive/ violent situations but not much more. I would have liked more background of how they got where they are / what made them psychopaths. There’s a reference to a falling out between them (book 1 & especially book 2 guy have a rocky relationship with book 3 guy) but absolutely zero explanation. I wish we just got more….

I do LOVE that all the MMC’s are very actively involved in all 3 books and we learn more about how past couples are doing and see the ladies in future books.

There is just something about a morally gray man who is psycho and mean to everyone but one girl, especially when she's pregnant and it's not his. Olivia ran into trouble with her ex and his shady dealings and Maddox saved her. She doesn't tell anyone she's pregnant but he finds out. Olivia and Maddox are drawn to each other, they understand each other's darkness. Maddox and Dane vow to hunt down the men responsible for her a.buse. Olivia's ex comes back and Maddox does all he can to get to her. Can he save her and the baby?

Where to begin…. Maddox was so adorably psychotic, overbearing, and unhinged… and I loved every second of it! 🐻 The way he cared for Liv and saw to her every need, want, and desire had me swooning, blushing, and kicking my feet. I have read a lot of dark romance and this book had so many elements that I have never read before, and twists and turns that I did not see coming. At one point my jaw was on the floor and I was in utter disbelief at how cruel some people really can be. I loved getting to see Dane and Peyton so much in this book, and I hope they are still major characters in book 3. Speaking of which, I am so excited for Tamen’s story. He has intrigued me from the beginning so I am looking forward to getting his backstory and what he’s been up to all this time. Now the wait begins…

Maddox, Maddox, Maddox 🫠...the Sour Gummy Bear of a Psycho is a completely u̴ ̴n̴ ̴h̴ ̴i̴ ̴n̴ ̴g̴ ̴e̴ ̴d̴ walking red flag, SOOOO many red flags 🚩🚩🚩 - the psychotic boogie man mercenary actually, who is only soft for his "Storm" - and I am so here for it! I fell in love with his truly u̴ ̴n̴ ̴h̴ ̴i̴ ̴n̴ ̴g̴ ̴e̴ ̴d̴ self in "Stalker" so I was really looking forward to his story and A.M. McCoy did NOT disappoint with this morally pitch-black (skipped right over gray) MMC!

This is a unique twist on your typical morally gray, mercenary-for-hire storyline. The pregnancy/that's-my-baby trope has honestly never been a favorite of mine as I find it predictable and stale quickly. However, I ate up Maddox's dedication and instalove/obsession with Olivia ("Liv") and her secret baby and I found myself enjoying that unique twist to their story. That big ol' Pyscho turned out to be a giant teddy bear cinnamon roll when it comes to Liv and her baby...literally turning "touch her and ☠️" to reality to keep her safe while caring for her the best way he knew how by seeing to all of her needs, big and small.

I absolutely could not put this book down. The character building of this duo starts in the first book in the Line Walker Series and jumps in full steam ahead at the beginning of this book. Maddox is a pitch black monster to the rest of the world while being a surprisingly sweet bear of a man at the core with Liv (didn't really see that coming lol) while unquestioningly unaliving every threat that could potentially come her way, without a second thought (even bringing her some gruesome gifts as proof lol). Liv is a wonderful match for him in her sass and strength (flinging things at his head when he pissed her off was hilarious!), making the best of her bad situation, and loving Maddox for the real him - no matter how truly twisted he is.

The nicknames between the two are so adorable and made them feel so much more real. The way they bring out the best in each other is a refreshing take on an otherwise usually dark theme. And can we just talk about the 𝑆𝑃𝐼𝐶𝐸?! 🥵🔥 Whew! The creativity with those SMUT scenes is delicious and I ate up literally every bit of it!

All in all, this is a 𝖉𝖆𝖗𝖐 𝖗𝖔𝖒𝖆𝖓𝖈𝖊 (lots of dark themes) with a delightful twist on the pregnancy/that's my baby trope that leaves you with a found family and HEA (in a most twisted kind of way lol). The world building is fabulous, sucking you in like you've been there before, the characters are surprisingly relatable, and the spice is SPICING! Peyton and Dane make multiple appearances in this book as well which is the icing on the cake. As with the first in this series, this book is more of a mentally dark romance (as dark acts are alluded to and described but the angst and emotions are extra angsty and twisty dark - and who doesn't want their very own possessive protective hot bear of a psycho?!) Definitely check the ⚠️ as this can be quite explicit but if you’re a dark romance lover, you’ll love this! I can't wait for the next book in the series!!! 🖤

Psycho, the second installment in The Line Walker Series by AM McCoy, delivers a dark, enthralling blend of vengeance, redemption, and unlikely love. This captivating tale centers on Maddox, an imposing man with a dangerous streak, and Olivia, a curvy heroine fighting to reclaim her life after unimaginable trauma. The chemistry between these two is electric, but it’s the raw, unapologetic intensity of their story that truly grips the reader.

The book opens with Maddox rescuing Olivia from a cold, concrete basement where she’s been held captive, bruised, and broken from the result of a horrific violation. From that moment, his primal need to protect her transforms into a deep and consuming love, though he’s far from a traditional romantic hero. Maddox is a force of nature, methodical and brutal, as he creates a list of those responsible for Olivia’s pain, eliminating them one by one. A reminder that love isn’t always soft and sweet, but sometimes savage and consuming.

Olivia, despite her fragile circumstances, is a compelling protagonist. Her resilience and gradual reclaiming of her strength complement Maddox’s relentless, bear-like nature, creating a dynamic that feels both balanced and oddly tender. As their connection deepens, readers are swept up in a love story that transcends the conventional, fueled by passion, healing, and a shared storm of emotions.

McCoy doesn’t shy away from exploring dark themes, but she does so with a level of care that allows the reader to connect deeply with Olivia and Maddox. The spice in this book is just as intense as the emotional arcs, blending physical desire with heartfelt vulnerability. Beyond the grit and carnage lies laughter, joy, and moments so sweet and unexpected, they leave an enduring mark.

Psycho is not for the faint of heart, but for readers who love morally gray characters, fiercely protective heroes, and love stories that challenge traditional boundaries, it’s a must-read. Equal parts heartbreaking, thrilling, and deeply satisfying, this is a romance that will stay with you long after you’ve turned the last page.

Maddox & Olivia are everything

Olivia was blackmail beaten and more by Damon. He was beating her so bad she thought she was going to die. She was so fragile and didn’t have hardly and strength. She toke his phone without him knowing and she called the only one person she knew, her sister Peyton. Maddox was the one who rescued her. He didn’t like what he saw when he rescued her. Damon beat her bad. Damon was a Hell Eaters and they are very bad. Peyton toke Olivia to her home, and Maddox toke her to his place. He felt a connection with her. Olivia didn’t want to be at her sister house so Dean told her she can go but she didn’t know it will be to Maddox apartment building. She had her own apartment across from his but she was a prisoner in hers. But her sister can by often and they talked on the phone. Maddox everyday leave her gifts at her door. The day he was stopping by he left her a basket. She opened it and at the bottom was a bottle of lotion for stretch marks. She froze and wonder how he knew she was pregnant. Maddox stop by to talk to her and get all the details out of everything she knows. They got a little close, and he started asking her questions. She gave him names of the ones who wanted her dead. Also to let her know that it’s his turn to get everyone on the list of names she gave him. All for her and her baby safety. One storming night she called him because she was scared and he told her to come to his place. She did and she laid in his bed, and she told him how she feels. They didn’t get far because she fell asleep. The next morning after breakfast was different. After breakfast he feast on her then afterwards they got ready and left for her OBGYN appointment. That’s where everything came clear to the both of them. They are in this together and his not going anywhere. There is love, touch her and you die, something unexpected and more. You will really enjoy this book I know I love Maddox and Olivia in this book. 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Psycho is A. M. McCoy at her absolute best.

I started reading A. M. McCoy last fall and haven't looked back since, and Madd and Liv are hands down the best work that she has given us.

I love the relationship between Madd and Liv, it's so unbelievably pure. There's love, there's lust, there adoration, there's excitement, there's tension, there's spice, there's difficulties - there's everything that make a love story believable.

Madd bought into Liv literally from the moment that he picked her up from the cold concrete floor that he found her on. He knew that she was something special, felt her settle in his soul and mesh with his broken parts. Getting the opportunity to help her, let her into his space, and eventually claim her as his was everything he never thought he would be able to have in his life. Liv accepts every part of him, all of his darkness. She doesn't judge, she doesn't cower from him. She embraces his inner psycho, and his dark desires, and gives him the ability to exist in the best versions of himself.

Liv is so sweet. She's a little psycho and a little broken. As often as she was coming off with her quick whit comebacks, she was struggling through what she perceived as her own shortcomings. The guilt that she left fester on her shoulders would have sent a weaker man to his knees, but not Liv. She kept going, even when she didn't think she was able to. Even when she didn't think she should. Her journey to finding Madd, to embracing his honest love for her, and finally accepting every piece of herself was truly beautiful.

The way each of them went to bat for the other, how loudly they loved the other in front of their family and strangers was genuine perfection. There's nothing I love more than when you can see and feel the love between two characters jumping off the pages, and A. M. McCoy knocked that out of the park with Psycho.

I could talk about this book all day, it truly is so incredibly special. Two broken people found the right ones to love them, found the right ones to work through their pains with, found the right ones to thrive with. It is honestly a book I can't wait to read again and again.

A.M. McCoy knows how to write a book boyfriend! Maddox, my new favorite MMC, is a psycho mercenary who we were briefly introduced to in Stalker. Olivia, Peyton’s sister, is a hacker who found herself in trouble. I don’t want to give anything away with spoilers but if you read Stalker you know she ends up beaten and pregnant and calling her sister and Dane to help.
I was hooked from the very beginning. I love that Peyton & Dane are included in this story. Maddox is everything you would ever want from a psycho/touch her and die MMC. Olivia is a strong independent FMC but it is entertaining watching Maddox break down some of her walls.
I lost count of the number of times I literally laughed out loud while reading this book. The dynamic between the characters is amazing and hilarious.
Not only is Maddox a big bear of a man but he wants nothing more than to provide for Olivia, protect her and make her happy. What more could a girl ask for? Though it’s admirable he wants to seek revenge on those that hurt her, not all surprises in boxes are great for those suffering from morning sickness. HAHAHAHA!!!
The twists in this book and some of the return characters are off the charts. I love that even though you could probably read these as a stand alone the connection between the first two was just seamless.
I couldn’t put Psycho down and the sneak peak into the 3rd (Bully) just made me want to read it even more, if that’s even possible. The Line Walker Series is officially one of my new favorite series and I am so excited for the next book!

My God! Maddox Renner!

This book was everything i wanted in a unhinged love interest that i didn't know i needed!

First things first!
Plot 10/10
Spice: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

This is Maddox and Olivia's story.

Olivia finds herself in trouble with the Hell Eaters club, her ex-Damon has just about killed her when she's able to make a call to her sister Peyton, who in turn has Dane call in Maddox to rescue her. (Dane and Peyton are from the first book Stalker, another phenomenal read)

Maddox brings her back to his home and then systematically starts killing through the list of men that have hurt his storm.

Maddox is unhinged, make no mistake, he's absolutely crazy about Olivia. He sends her a few tokens from his hunting expeditions, I never thought I'd want a body part delivered to me as much as I do!

Olivia also happens to be pregnant prior to her rescue, so we get to take the entire pregnancy journey with her and Madd. Olivia has been seriously hurt physically and mentally but even with that she's a feisty FMC and has no trouble winding Maddox around her little finger. He's a psycho but he's, her psycho.

This story has it all, an unhinged MMC, revenge and serious unbelievably hot copious amounts of spice, which I loved!!! The end will catch you by surprise, I was not expecting that....AT ALL!

A.M. McCoy has me in a chokehold with the Line Walker series, each unhinged man is better than the last. You won't be disappointed in this read and I can't recommend it enough!

Check your trigger warning because, Maddox hits them all, in the best way!

Overall: 4/5
Plot: 4/5
Spice Level: 3.5/5
Recommended: Yes

I'll start off by saying I may have a slightly negatively skewed view on this one just because the pregnancy throughout the story isn't my favorite trope. That being said, this was still an enjoyable book! I definitely liked the first book in the series a lot more. It will take a lot to top Dane and Peyton. I liked Maddox in this one, but I wanted to see his "psycho" more. I feel like it was just talked about and alluded to a lot. I would have liked to have seen him lose control more from his point of view. I feel we only got to see in a couple of time. The rest of the time it was just mentioned that he was a psychopath. Olivia also wasn't my favorite FMC. She calls her sister for help but then is mad when her and the men try to protect her. She keeps saying she can handle it herself and needs to leave. Given her condition at the beginning of the book, she clearly couldn't handle it herself. Her attitude just annoyed me, and my view of a book definitely goes down if I don't like the FMC. I did like her more at the end of the book, and the ending had me on the edge. I am really excited for book 3. Overall, did I like this as much as Stalker? Not even close. Was this still an enjoyable read? Absolutely! I haven't read a book by A.M. McCoy that I haven't liked yet!

If you are wanting to tip your toes into the darkness without being overwhelmed by it then I will gladly recommend The Line Walkers series.
Psycho is the second book in the series and did not disappoint. I swear if I wasn't a married woman and Maddox was real I would be embracing the big Psycho with open arms. But that's just a girl living in a dream world obsessed with a book character that can do no wrong even if presents contain fingers of the enemies who are out to get you.
Maddox and Olivia there is so much to say but at the same time I don't want to give away spoilers. So I will say he is a bear of a man but for Olivia he becomes more of the cuddly version for Olivia. While working on taking revenge out on her enemies. Then you have Olivia who is a strong independent woman trying to find her new normal with everything going on in her life.
Things will get dark, there will be trauma and smut (oh the smut) in true A.M. McCoy fashion. Really be prepared to have tissues for some parts like the very first dang chapter.

Things to remember check the tropes, TW list, and read Stalker before diving in.

How I loved this book. Let me count the starts…..Five!! I count five starts ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️! There are so many reason this is a five star read for me!

One, I love the nicknames, she had me at Storm and Psycho! I fell hard for Maddox every time he opened his mouth and spoke to Liv. He is the whole package supersized! Complete monster to the world but softer for her yet unalives all threats to her without question. Is it mission to show her how much he loves her.

B, The spice as always was delicious and I ate up every word. Now, I have a desire to find a carnival so I can make my hubby take me 😈 IYKYK and you need to know 😜

Mostly, I love how all the characters come together from the first book and you’re left with a found family! I love that we get to see so much more of Peyton and Dane in this book too! It’s like finding a toy in your cereal box!

Lastly, I’m obsessed with the instant obsession Maddox has with Liv and how there is no question or limits to his devotion.

✨Pregnancy (that’s my baby)

Maddox!!!!! MADDOX?! This man…..He can be Psycho any day now!! I’m in love with him! Out of the three books that currently out in the line walker series. Maddox is seriously my favorite and I don’t think anyone will be able to top him! This story was absolute perfection to me and I couldn’t get enough of it! I actually read it twice in the timeframe because I could not get enough. I have read a few of A.M McCoy’s book and I thought for sure the twisted duet was gunna be my end all be alll! But then the line walker boys came out!!!

I love the tropes that were covered in this book, it truly made the story engaging and just kept me so sucked in. The dynamic between Olivia and Maddox was so sweet. The growth that he showed for her and how he wanted to be everything and more for Olivia. My favorite part of the book is where Olivia explains the line walkers and we get the meaning for the series. All in all this book was a true 10/10 out for me and I can’t wait to read it again!

I am very excited for book 3 and to see where the story takes us. :)

Can a grizzly bear also be a teddy bear? ✨️Yes✨️

Olivia and Maddox were seriously everything I needed them to be and more.
I loved Peyton and Dane's book, I really did.
But these two???
Absolutely have them beat!!!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
🌶🌶🌶🌶
Olivia is intelligent, beautiful, and strong FMC that has a storm brewing in her eyes.
Maddox.. I have so much to say about this man!
He is a huge psychotic grizzly bear of a man.
For her? He is a teddy bear.🧸
I don't know if it could get better than that.
She finds herself in a bad situation and he comes to her rescue. But, he does more than just that to protect her from there on. He leaves her gifts as well. Even if he may have taken her words a little too seriously!
I loved the first half of the book for how they came together.
The second half of the book??
The suspense?!?!?
I ate it up until there was nothing left.
I could not put the book down after that!
I love how much of Peyton and Dane we got in this book too.
✨️Amazing!✨️

I was not expecting this book to put me through plot twist and the emotions it did. Olivia definitley went through it in this book. I wished they would have went after the ex first but I understood the logic behind why they did it. I was so happy when she decided to keep the baby. I find a man who loves a woman so much he doesn’t care if the baby is his, so hot. Maddox nerves one was like”no that’s not my kid” nah he took the dad position so fast. I love how Olivia challenged Maddox. I love their darkness together how much they embarrass it with open Minds and don’t even judge. I was hardcore stressed for my girl Peyton, she protected his sister like a pro though. When Dane and Madddox both basically said they wanted to die if the girls didn’t survive broke my heart. That made me love them even more and had me swooning. Olivia’s birthing expirence had me stressing. I was not expecting The Duke to be Danes brother now the right side of all this. I did feel like the explanation and the show of Maddox and Olivia’s darkness was that dark but other than that I l!iked this book

Received as an ARC.

💜 Dark romance
💙 Forced proximity/roommates
💜 Age gap
💙 Pregnancy (that’s my baby)
💜 Morally grey
💙 German Shepherd MMC
💜 Un-aliving

At this pint Ally can do no wrong. This series scratches that itch for deranged MMCs that will burn the world for the women they love. And Maddox, jeez that man is obsessed with his girl! He was so complex and well written that I fell in love from the get go, I can see why Liv couldn’t say no 😂

Olivia is the perfect level of independence and feisty bad boss energy we’ve come to love in an FMC. I think she’s cemented herself as my favourite female lead for January, possibly even the year. I adored her.

The spice was absolutely perfect and Ally truly delivered in that regard, but then again the way she can write a smutty little scene is unmatched 😏

Now we just have to not so patiently wait for Tamen, no not Tamlin, we’re all safe there. His story is going to be gooooood!

This book is pure perfection I could not get enough of it! I loved the dynamic of Maddox and Olivia’s relationship. I liked the switch of dominance between the two and how well they were for each other. I enjoyed how Olivia didn't stick to the damsel in distress stereotype and wait to be rescued the second time and took matters into her own hands for her and her child’s safety. This book had me on a roller coaster of emotions and I’m sure I went through the five stages of grief. The plot twists were definitely twisting and the spice was most definitely spicy. I liked how the story line went into a little backstory for the men of this beautiful series and how they came to be handsome killers. In this book I enjoyed discovering the meaning for the series being called line-walkers and how each man fits that description in their own way. I hope everyone enjoys this book as much as I have. Happy Reading!

Can we just take a MINUTE for Maddox and Liv🙌🏻

This man. This M A N. He is a big softie and an absolute sweetheart and needs protected at all costs. The gift baskets he leaves for her? The constant reassurance? The stepping up to the plate at every single chance? WE LOVE IT.

The drama and the suspense was top tier in this and I was genuinely terrified for a moment there that things were going to go very v e r y wrong.

Everything about Maddox and Liv was perfect from their relationship dynamic, the push and pull and having to make compromises to the spice. The SPICE. Let me just say, he may look big and tough and scary but boyyyyy does he care about Liv’s pleasure first and foremost. Phewwww🔥

And HELLO Tamen. I am sat waiting to see what he and Ember are going to deliver to us and I can guarantee I’ll devour it in one sitting just like this.
