This volume continues Harari’s exploration of human civilization, this time focusing on the forces that have shaped it, from imperialism to capitalism and religion.
Beautifully illustrated and well-paced, it blends humor, striking visuals, and thought-provoking discussions. I especially appreciated how different perspectives can reshape our understanding of the past, challenging the idea of a singular historical narrative. The mix of historical analysis and modern commentary makes for an engaging and accessible read.
I’m looking forward to the next volume on scientific innovations!

The masters of history, empires, economy and religion compete against each other on a TV show, telling the story of how they influence history. The scientific jury then awards them points, setting them equal. Content is broken down well, I think the TV show aspect didn't catch me as much as the story telling in previous volumes.
