Rate this book
A zany romantic comedy starring a duke’s daughter, who’s more of a fighter than a lady, and a prince who happens to be into that!

In the Kingdom of Rubini, the royal castle is set to host an evening party where Maria is to be officially announced as Prince Renato's fiancée. In anticipation of the event, she must make sure she's all brushed up on proper dancing and manners! But will the culprit behind the attack on Maria and the queen be unmasked before the party?

Something serious is definitely on the horizon! Will our two lovebirds be able to overcome disaster?!

Not my favorite out of the volumes thus far, BUT!

That ending was extremely cute and gave me butterflies, so it made up for the much larger-than-usual focus on Ireneo!

However, outside of him (because admittedly, he's not my favorite character, but I did find Mimi's relatability to him touching and now view him in a slightly better light thanks to her), I enjoyed this volume a lot! I wish Renato could have had more page time with our dear Mimi, but I loved seeing her give her all, as well as a character from a few volumes ago pop up and help her! Plus, that scene with Mimi and Aida holding hands to encourage one another was one of my favorite non-romance scenes in the volume! I loved seeing them have so much page time together!

So I guess I was a little bummed that there wasn't more romance, but I liked a lot of the beautiful friendship vibes that shone through! Mimi is truly a wonderful heroine who shines on page, so it's always a joy to read about her, regardless if she is with Renato or not!

I'm excited to see where things go from here and desperately hope we get even more romance because Mimi and Rentao are so cute together (that ballroom scene was everything!!! EEEEEPPP!) and I'm not getting fed enough or fast enough! LOL!

This volume was a little boring but I am still fond of Mimi’s antics.

Recap: prince’s cousin previous lover is the source of the assassination attempt, perfume help, ball, drinking for the first time, drunken fist, love confession.

While this volume started off slow, it ended with the same amount of charm and humor that drew me to this manga in the first place.

Can’t wait for more!

Happy Reading!!

So cute. These books always balance sweetness, humor, and action so well. Mimi is charming and I'm really liking Renato. And her cousin and the second prince developing more in this volume added a great layer to the story and their characters. I look forward to more heart felt moments, goofy antics, and awesome action in the next volume.

It seems Prince Ireneo may be a bit of a handful in his own way, though Mimi may still beat him in the end. Still, even as she struggles to be a good lady for Prince Renato, she continues to blunder her way through things in the strangest and most endearing manner. At least it seems the most important parts of the event go well, even if the rest may not end up anything like expected. Of course, it's not a volume of Always a Catch without touching scenes between Prince Renato and Mimi somewhere in the mix. Even Raimondo seems to be thawing more than he pretends to the rest of the public.

Not a lot to now on this volume, the highlight was the drunken first fighting. I like how honorable the prince is. Consent is highly respected in this series.

Mimi's so cute at her big debut with Prince Renato! Ireno seems to be having some lady troubles, but I'm sure it's nothing to worry about...

This was honestly kinda boring and hard to get through. I don’t know if I’ll continue anymore sadly
