Today I have I am singing at the top of my voice, Unicorn Post is the most gorgeous hardback book that all little girls are going to absolutely love, and want. This book will bring the biggest smile to any little girls face, reading this magical tale about a little girl who finds a unicorn lost and needs to find the unicorn a place to live. What’s even more exciting inside are beautiful flaps to lift up to discover what is under the flap. Unicorn Post would make the perfect present for any little girl.

A little girl is playing in her very pink treehouse (with an impressive spread of snacks!) when a unicorn shows up! Assuming that the unicorn must be lost, the little girl embarks on a journey to find a new home for her visitor. The first idea she has is to go to the pet shop where she got her goldfish, and settle the unicorn there. The two visit the pet shop (alarming a clerk), but the unicorn cannot get comfortable. Perhaps the farm is a better idea? There is plenty of space there, but the hay does not meet the unicorn's esacting standards. Perhaps the carnival, with its cotton candy, is a better choice? While the food is an improvement, the other unicorns (on a merry-go-round) are a disappointment. Never fear! Clearly, a fairy tale castle is the best place for a unicorn. The girl settles the unicorn in, says goodbye, and makes her sad way home. Once back in her treehouse, she gets a letter. It is a beautiful note from the unicorn asking to live with the girl... and when she opens the door, her new best friend is standing outside.

The most amusing part of this book are the letters and flyers that can be opened up. There's one for the pet store, the circus, and the unicorn's note, among others. I would have adored this as a child, even though some require a knowledge of cursive handwriting, which most modern children will not have.

The illustrations are rather ethereal and impressionistic, which is perfect for a unicorn tale. There's a lot of pink, but also a fair amount of green, which makes a nice contrast. Unicorn, though silent, is shown as being very game to try out different environments, even if they are rejected in the end.

There's no shortage of unicorn books for young readers, but since they are so appealing, there is always room for one more. Add this to picture books like Rose and Budgen's When You Adopt a Pugicorn or Hale and Pham's Kittycorn series, or use to prepare for early chapter books like Punset and Vicedo's Unicornia: Learning to Fly, June's Mermicorn Island series, Elliot's Unicorn Diaries, or Moore's middle grade "nonfiction" Stuff Unicorns Love.

Emma Yarlett knows how to capture her audience. Envelopes, flaps, fantastic illustrations and bits to pull out of the envelopes? Nailed it. Sadly, I think this was one of her weaker books (I think it was the lack of stuff to pull out of the envelopes, truth be told!).

Unicorn Post is a little like Santa Post and Dragon Post, but it's more like Unicorn Flyers because there wasn't really any post to open with their associated letters/post. Instead, these were more like marketing flyers you'd get in the post or flick through in the dentist.

Not quite as compelling as half-mawled Dragon letters or mail sent from the reindeers. I am surprised though - unicorns seems like an easy win but was actually the most disappointing of the lot!

An adorable lift-the-flap book about a little girl and a unicorn who unexpectedly shows up at her door in need of a home. As the girl searches for the perfect place for her new friend, the answer becomes obvious—of course, the unicorn should stay with her!

With its winning combination of interactive flaps and unicorns, this book is sure to be a hit with young readers. However, while charming, the story itself feels somewhat flat. The art style strongly resembles Oliver Jeffers’ work (down to the font), and the plot doesn’t offer much in the way of surprises. That said, it’s still a solid choice for kids who love interactive books and unicorns, even if it doesn’t break new ground.

Thank you to Edelweiss and the publisher for providing this ARC.

This adorable title is about a unicorn who shows up at a little girl’s treehouse. The two friends have fun as they try to find a new place for the unicorn to call home. After they try different options (such as the pet store and the carnival), they discover that the unicorn best fits in at a castle. The little girl feels very bittersweet about finding the new home. However, she receives a letter from the unicorn asking if it can return home to live with the girl, reuniting the two. This book is so cute, from the crayon-style illustrations, interactive foldable/booklet elements to the plot itself. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Link to complete review: https://ysbookreviews.wordpress.com/2...

This is an official review from CLEAR, a group of librarians with SWON.

This book is so cute!! It's about a little girl and a unicorn that turns up at her front door. Together, they try to figure out the best place for the unicorn to live but in the end, the unicorn wants to stay with the little girl and be her unicorn. The book includes flaps with detailed & labeled images of the different places the unicorn could stay. I loved looking at details like that as a kid (and as an adult). The publishers recommend this book to ages 5-9 and given the story and the flaps in the book, I think this is an appropriate range.

A girl finds a unicorn outside her treehouse and tries to find it a home. Each location she goes to is not quite right for the unicorn, and it finally ends up living with her, where it always wanted to be. Each location she tries is accompanied by a cute letter/card that you open and it describes info about the place. (ex. The farm talks about the animals, eggs, etc.) Kida love added things like this with secrets behind flaps, this is a great interactive bedtime book.

Maybe my new favorite unicorn book. Unicorns are probably in the top 5 requested books around here at public libraries, so I'm glad to see one that I like and has the proper cuteness like the unicorn lovers need. I thought the story was fun and sweet, and the flaps will entertain all the little ones. If you're buying a book for unicorn lovers, this is a great one!

I get nervous with books that have flaps because if your kid is just a little too energetic, bam magic of the book is gone. I think they work better with board books because it's physically harder to tear them. This one is still a lot of fun though. The addition of opening the mail for each location they go to makes a simple story special and there's a good pay off at the end.

Stick with this one. Despite the attempts to rehome the poor unicorn in various unsuitable 'human-orienated' dwellings, this talle is sweet and warming on many other levels and sure to satisfy the whimsies of unicorn lovers everywhere.

Trop cute ! Un nouvel album dans la collection, cette fois ci sur une petite fille qui essaye de trouver une nouvelle maison pour son amie la licorne. Enfin un nouveau livre à recommander pour les enfants qui trippent licornes 😍
