Now, I’m arranged to marry Antonio Bianchi, heir to a mafia empire and a man who could destroy me if he learns the truth. Antonio is everything I ruthless, unrelenting, and dangerously irresistible. When I crash his bachelor party to uncover what kind of man he truly is, I think I’m a step ahead. But he catches me. And instead of punishing me, he stakes his claim in ways that leave me breathless. He says I belong to him. That he’ll strip me bare until I have no secrets left. Gabriella and Antonio are interesting characters. One has a soft outside but is hard on the inside, the other is the reverse. I think they were two interesting characters to pair together. It worked but I just wanted a bit more from the pair of them. We get some background, namely Gabriella’s, but I wanted more beyond her past marriage. What about childhoods, fears, likes, habits? I totally understand this is a novella but even little hints of such personality traits go a long way.
This is another book I managed to pick up in a Stuff Your Kindle day - I got a lot! I really enjoy mafia romances so was very much attracted to the synopsis. I don’t feel it really disappointed! I liked the plot because there was one! It very easily could have been just pure smut and rage (as many mafia romance novellas are) but we actually get to have a story and some background! This definitely heightened my enjoyment. There was, however, very little work on the characters themselves. They felt very one dimensional so I couldn’t properly form an attachment to them. Even in a novella, it is possible! I wasn’t a fan of the sudden instalove - that felt out of place for this story. You can’t go from hating to suddenly loving, it doesn’t work like that. Having said that, I think the spice was nice. It was incredibly mild but it was rooted into emotion which was very nice to read. The ending was okay, it felt appropriate for the story. I just wish there could have been a bit more before then.
Overall, His Dark Possession is a surprising novella I found myself liking.

Let the games begin
His Dark Possession is the first book in the Bloodlines & Betrayal series. I will start by saying this story is not dark, it just dips it's toe into a medium grey with some references to things in that happened to the FMC in the past. I enjoyed this arranged marriage, Mafia story about Gabriella Andretti and Antonio Bianchi. The two were entered into an arranged marriage six months ago. This marriage will bring two Mafia families of Vegas together. Gabriella was married before to a man who abused her in ways that scarred her heart and soul. He died in his sleep and she was then labelled the Black Widow, even though there is a question as to whether she did it or not. Antonio is the oldest son of the Don and will take over the family when his father retires. He is in need of a wife and Gabriella he thinks will be the perfect one for him. At his bachelor party the weekend before the wedding he and his buddies are enjoying some fun when a little treat shows up. Gabriella has disguised herself as a stripper in order to sneak into the party so she can try and find out what type of man her intended is. What she does not know is that he will recognize her with just one look and from there things will be interesting.....let the games begin between these two.

The premise is entertaining and captivating but the rush to the finish was disappointing-a three year jump leaves too many unanswered questions; the romance is limited ; the characters are determined.

You might want to hang on don’t blink and you might want to make sure you are buckled up because this is going to be one crazy ride usual mafia antics betrayal, jealousy, lies, secrets, murder, and throw in a little maybe even a lot of violence while we are at it but also a little love so buckle up 😊! Gabriella really is sweet with a reputation as being the black widow after her first husband died under mysterious situation, just after burying her first husband now she has been arranged to marry another, and the man she is to marry one of the most feared men with a reputation proceeding him. Antonio sexy as all get out boss with a reputation of being ruthless, dangerous on a good day, deadly every day with a need for violence, and he is to be married to a woman he has never met but he will do what is needed. But all bets are off when he catches his bride to be crashing his bachelor party he knows she is the one but he first have to teach her a lesson but where are they headed, will there be war between them, the Irish, will they learn to love one another, and is there happiness for her the second time in an arranged marriage?

I had expected a dark, violent, mafia tale but there was no on page violence here. There was discussion of violence, but no actual violence. And I found that I liked that very much. What I wasn’t as crazy about was there was only one brief interlude that had anything to do with the Madia, and the entire interaction took maybe 15 minutes.
This is a love story about Antonio, a man with a bloody reputation, and Gabriella, a woman known as a black widow. The erotic content is abundant and very hot, and along with it a mutual respect that makes it even better to read. I could really see the connection between the main characters, and that their marriage would be a solid one based on love.

We follow Gabriella who is a widow after her husband dies without any indication. She can't get used to the status of a widow for long because she is immediately again through an arranged marriage that she has to marry Antonio and their marriage will bring peace and many other benefits. How this marriage goes and whether she gets a second chance at a real marriage, because Antonio is crueler than her previous husband. Wonderful dark mafia story that keeps you interested from the beginning.

Kelsie has really done a fantastic job at writing this mafia romance story about Gabriella and Antonio that grabs a hold of you right away. The cover really draws you in and then starting with the very first chapter you find yourself really intrigued and turning the pages to see what happens and how the story ends. If you need a great book I totally 110% suggest this one right here by Kelsie because it is a 5-star read.

The author has given us a fast paced, quick read that pulls us into the lives of Antonio and Gabrielle and does not let go. Gabriella is known as a Black Widow after her first husband dies. Will the arranged marriage between Antonio and Gabriella be any different or should Antonio watch his back? Instalove short story. It had a lot of potential in the beginning. There was obvious desire, a bit of tension, definitely sexual attraction between Antonio and Gabriella, but when he loved her in two seconds, this potential quickly went away. It was an immediate happy ending, which was nice, but it was set up as a tension slow burn, which quickly ended.
Overall it was a good book with hot quick scenes, but it definitely could’ve been better.

Another great mafia book! Hold on tight because you will not want to put this one down. Full of lies & secrets, throw in love with it and you have a lot going on. Gabriele was married and after her husband passed she was already arranged to marry another. Will they be able to make things work or will they fight all the way.

This was a quick easy Mafia dark romance read. The MFC was hurt by her ex making her not trust men so she is untrusting of the MMC, but he does what he has to do to make her trust him. Through everything she learns to love him and they have a happy life and you learn what truly happens to her ex husband.

Really bad
It could have been a good story but it just went downhill really quick. The sex scenes with her first husband were cringe-worthy. So many mistakes in the editing so-called dark Mafia MMC was not. I could not finish it I would not recommend it. Authors should do a better job they write a good blurb but then they don't follow through with the good story.

What a beautiful, touching read.
This book is incredible. I read it in one sitting & was genuinely sorry when it was over. Although the ending was perfect I hasten to add! I found it an emotion filled hug of a book! Simply divine!

Interesting story and great for the small amount of pages it has! By the cover I was expecting a bit more of a dark romance but was pleasantly surprised it came off more cute.
