Drive Me Wilde

They were sworn enemies ... or so she thought.

Indiana Nash

In high school, I hated my brother’s best friend.
The fact that he was also my boyfriend’s best friend further complicated things.
Angry and scowling was his default mode around me.
Even before the accident—our hate was mutual.

It’s been more than a decade since I’ve been home, since I’ve seen him.
But my new life in Los Angeles just imploded and I have nowhere else to go.
A long, exhausting bus ride brings me back to my small hometown of Rockhurst.

Jameson Wilde was one of the reasons I dreaded coming back home, so I can hardly believe my eyes when my trembling, cold body collapses into his strong, secure embrace.

He’s my nemesis.
The man who caused me so much pain.
Why does it feel so right in his arms?

Jameson Wilde

I spent my high school years always hovering in the background, angry and tortured as I watched my best friend date the girl I loved.

The pain of being near her and knowing I’d never have her nearly broke me.
Self-preservation led me to shut off all of my feelings completely, until three years ago when I got a phone call and a voice from the past told me I was a father.

My ex-girlfriend claimed she needed a “break” from parenting and dropped Rio off at my doorstep.
Since that moment, my entire life has revolved around my daughter.
She’s all that matters.

Then, out of the blue, Indi Nash—the only girl I’ve ever wanted—shows up at my doorstep.
She’s hurt and hungry and cold, and all the years I spent putting the pieces of my heart back together are shattered as she collapses into my arms.

She’s everything I’ve ever wanted … but she hates me.

4 Indi and Jameson Stars

This was a good start to a new series.
Jameson and Indi are from the same hometown. He was one of her twin brother's best friend's. Growing up, Indi went out with another friend of her brother's and they were the 'it' couple. Ultimately Indi left and went to carve out a new life in LA. When that goes horribly wrong, she comes home but a lot changed whilst she was away.

Jameson and Indi always argued and part of the story behind that is slowly revealed and it's heartbreaking. The thing is , Jameson has loved Indi from afar for forever , but he thought he would never get the girl. When she returns he has a 12yo daughter , Rio, who he didn't know about until she was 9yrs old. Her mother is awful but Rio is a hoot. She brings a lot to the story and it's impossible not to love her character.

The Wilde clan are a fascinating family and I am looking forward to more books about Jameson's brothers. I am definitely invested in the series.

Lots of passion , well written humour, tense moments. It's a small town, enemies to lovers, single dad romance.

HEA? More HFN
Cheating? Not between Indy and Jameson.
Be aware - Loss of a parent / Child neglect features.

It was always you 😍

I love a good "it was always you" trope and this book delivered. Indi and Jameson's romance took a minute to unfold since there was a lot of past incidents that needed to be discussed. It wasn't necessarily a miscommunication situation, more of a "I'm not going to correct her" when it came to the things Jameson did to protect Indi when they were teens. I loved the pace and the side characters. Rio was adorable. There are mentions of violence but I wouldn't consider this to be a dark romance. I wanted a little more out of the ending but I plan to read the next book.

I just read my first dud of 2026. It’s almost worse than Lucky Charm by Anne-Marie Meyer (at least this one was on KU so I didn’t waste my money).

**Book Review: Drive Me Wilde by Tess Oliver**

Tess Oliver triumphantly returns with "Drive Me Wilde," the first installment in the Wilde Brothers series. This captivating romance does not disappoint and keeps readers thoroughly engaged from start to finish.

The story revolves around Jamieson and Indi, who have shared a bond since childhood. However, as they navigate the misunderstandings and teenage angst that often complicate early friendships, their relationship has morphed into one filled with tension and animosity. Oliver skillfully weaves flashbacks throughout the narrative, providing a rich context that reveals the depth of their history and the nuances of their emotions. These glimpses into the past help illuminate the current state of their relationship, creating a layered and immersive reading experience.

Readers will find themselves irresistibly drawn into the world of Jamieson and Indi, as the plot unfolds in unexpected ways, keeping the tension alive until the last page. The combination of nostalgia, misunderstandings, and emotional growth makes "Drive Me Wilde" a compelling read that captures the complexity of young love.

Overall, Tess Oliver delivers a heartfelt and engaging story that is sure to leave fans eager for the next installment in the Wilde Brothers series.

This enemies to lover's romance is a great introduction to this new series. The Wilde brothers have been living up to their name and Jameson was no exception. Growing up together with Jameson being Indi's brothers' best friend and also her high school boyfriend's best friend, these two were like oil and water and the anger and hatred that simmered between them radiated off the pages. However, could it be a case of love and hate walking a fine line. Years later these two are thrust back into each other's paths again and from the very first moment the angry words are easily thrown and judgements are made. As Indi starts to see a side of Jameson she had never given herself time to see and Jameson finally fills in the blanks of things that happened in the past, the chemistry and passion heats up between these two. Who doesn't love a bad boy romance to steal your heart, have you captivated to the very end and have you craving more from this small town and the Wilde boys that always seem to bring drama and chaos when they are around.

I listened to it on audible. The narrator’s were good

The story was easy to follow
MFC was Indiana a/k/a Indie or Jones
MMC was Jameson Wilde. Bad boy from childhood turned to great guy - single father to Rio - 12 year old daughter from a past relationship who lives with him

My view.
Indie was a bit of a bitch to him. Hated him initially because of high school stuff. She cane back home after a disastrous job in LA
Jameson always pined for her. Wasn’t good enough because she was his friends girlfriend and had a rough upbringing with his dad and brothers

She saw the light. Fell for him once she’s back
He and Rico fell for her.

Too much going back in time to high school fist fights.
Not sure why this bright Indie took so long to get a new drivers license and bank card once she lost hers.
Jameson’s father should have been in jail for child abuse. Disturbing how everyone knew but did nothing.

I’m glad I read it. It needed a happy ending and it had one. There was spice in it too.

I have been a fan of Tess Oliver for years so I jumped at the chance to start a new series by her and let's just say she didn't disappoint. I was hooked from page one to the very last page and now I can't wait for book 2. Tess has this beautiful way of building her characters as the story progresses so by the time you get to the end they seem like long lost friends. She does this with the supporting cast as well so it's kind of like stepping into "friends" you know everyone and at least their personality. I just adore Indi and Jameson, I love their bak and forth, their conflict, their story. Plus, not gonna lie, enjoyed the steamy parts and all the tension too. Such a great story, and hits all the high-notes, finding yourelf, learning to love yourself, learning to see the big picture, and so much more. Just love it!!

30% in and I'm waiting for some action; the first third is all background from 13 years ago when they were all in high school together. There's a lot of detail about the Wilde family. Then there's a chapter where Indi catches up with her old friend, including descriptions of the furnishings of the home.

I like Jameson - obviously so misunderstood. So far, Indi is cranky and bitchy as always to Jameson. She has nothing to show for her past 13 years, which I find a bit unbelievable. Rio, his 13 year old daughter, is annoying.

This just doesn't connect with me. Overall, it's boring as they work through decades of misunderstandings. I skim chapters but I DNF when they suddenly have sex and Rio's mom shows up.

this was an accidental find and i’m so glad i stumbled across it. absolutely loved! Jameson has been in love with Indi practically his entire life and had to suffer through watching one of his best friends date her. He protected her many times but all she saw was his scowling from across the room and she’s always thought he hated her because of it.

after a series of unfortunate events, Indi ends up back in her home town and at Jameson’s door where she finds that he’s not the same boy she knew in high school but he would still do anything to protect her

-single dad
-brothers best friend
-small town
-blue collar MMC
-protective MMC
-enemies to lovers
-he’s always loved her
-band of brothers

If I were to use one word as my review, it would be assumptions.
As kids we thought we were so smart and everything was black or white. There was no room for gray areas. We often assumed. This is the case of Indie and Jameson. Fast forward to the present with years and miles distancing them, lives have changed, the murky waters of teenagers years are seen through adult eyes and clarity sheds new light.
I really enjoyed this story of enemies to lovers with a spitfire, preteen that grabs at your heart. The End came to quickly and I can’t wait for the next Wilde brother’s story! And with as close as the Wilde brothers are, I’m certain that we’ll see more of Indie, Jameson, and Rio!

Drive Me Wilde was a fun & sexy quick read! Tess Oliver always delivers with great characters, fun settings and a romance that pulls you right in.

Jameson & Indi the perfect mix of enemies to lovers and pining after someone you can’t have.

I loved their dynamic. Jameson Wilde, one of the rough and troubled Wilde Brothers of their small coastal town. And Indie, the off limits prom queen. When these two are reunited after years, the tension and banter between them leads to something they never saw coming.

This was a great story to get lost in and I can’t wait to see more of the Wilde Brothers in the future!

wow

Wow, just wow! What a way to start a series! Tess, you’ve done it again. Indi and Jamison have stolen my heart. Indies trip from LA to her hometown was incredible. I cried as I read that. sunshine was just that, sunshine. Jameson rescues her after her long trip and shows her great kindness. He has been in love with her since high school, but she’s unaware. Rio is a delight and makes you want to reach out and hug her. Indie and Jameson Travel a rocky road To see each other’s worth. Love all the characters in the series especially the Wilde boys. Can’t wait for the next book in the series. The cover model is a 10+ plus

It’s been awhile since a new Oliver book and I’ve missed her writing. The bad boys, while fun in their youth, grow up to be real men with a soft side. Jameson and Indi, seemed to hate each other in high school were just masking their feelings. When her world is turned upside down a trip home is meant to be temporary, until she meets up with old friends. The first few chapters were rough to read as her world falls apart but everything becomes right again event. Rio, Jameson’s daughter, is a riot and brings a lot of love to those rough housing men.

Indy and Jameson’s story was a decent story. Honestly it started off kind of kooky for me. I get it she lost her apartment/car/boyfriend all in one swoop. The author almost made her sound stupid because clearly she had a good job and had money in the bank. Just go to the bank and get a new card. I get she needed to run into Sunshine for her to realize she needed to go home. Also they mentioned her brother a few times-her TWIN brother- you would think he would have been brought into the story. Still a good story and I’m excited to read Zanders story.

Not a single likable character in the whole book. The FMC had nothing to show for 13 yrs away but even crawling home with nothing but a duffle bag she was still a judgmental witch. The MMC was the closest to likable but was a weird combo of ‘wilde’ bad boy and doormat to the FMC. Why he would have anything to do with his horrible, abusive father is beyond me. That he allowed his 12 yr old daughter to spend time with the guy because ‘he makes a better granddad’ ruined any chance of actually liking him though.

This book was so good. It's been a while since I read a book by Tess Oliver, and I must say she never disappoints. Loved the characters. Very fast pace, but it was perfect. At first, I wasn't a fan of flashbacks, but of course, the flashbacks are needed to know the characters' history. Can't wait for the next book in the series. I'm actually really looking forward to meeting the other Wilde brothers.

Wilde and Hot

I really enjoyed this book (and other Tess Oliver titles). I love how the author used two different viewpoints from high school - one as the beautiful school jewel who deals with the brash jerk; two - the jerk who was always jealous and just wanted to protect the girl. And how in the future when her supposedly amazing life implodes, the jewel returns home to find out what a real amazing life should be. I can't wait for the next Wilde brother book to be released!

I simply can't wait for more in this amazing series!!!!!

I have read all Tess Oliver's books, so I jumped at picking this up as soon as I heard about it! Once again we get a great storyline with characters that are easy to become invested in. Oh. My. Days!!

What a fantastic start to a brand new series by this author!!
Jameson and Indi have a very tumultuous past but haven’t seen each other since high school. What happens when she finds herself back in her hometown, homeless and jobless?
This couple?! Oh my days! And when you meet the rest of his family too, you know it’s going to be an amazing series!!

awesome read

I happened upon this book via Instagram and decided to give it a go. Fab decision

I loved the characters and how the author turned the tables with the MMC pining for the FMC

There were some unanswered or underdeveloped parts for me (her fathers death etc) but overall this was a really enjoyable read

WOW

What a fun book to read. Indie & Jameson were like 2 ships lost at sea. Jameson pining for her since grade. And all of the misunderstandings from years ago caused Indie's distance from Jameson. However I'm glad the story went the way it did.
