I fell in love with this world after realizing these women are far more capable than they first appear. And yes, the fact that these two women are lesbians played a significant part in my enjoyment of the story, as I am a lesbian myself. However, their relationship is much deeper than just that. There was even a point where I wasn’t sure if Madam Jang was using Shim Chong or truly cared for her. But after seeing that Shim Chong would go to any length, even sacrificing herself, for Madam Jang, I was moved by how deeply they meant to each other. Madam Jang would have done the same for Shim Chong.

The relationship between Shim Chong and Madam Jang develops beautifully, though not without its complications. Initially, there are hidden motives, but as the story progresses, it’s clear that their bond is more profound. Their love is grounded in mutual respect and trust, which I absolutely adored. At one point, I wasn't sure if Madam Jang truly cared for Shim Chong or was simply using her, but the realization that Shim Chong would sacrifice herself for Madam Jang left me in awe. This connection felt more authentic than I initially expected.

Si el primer volum ens introduïa les dues protagonistes d'aquesta història i un dels conflictes principals: el fet que els mariners no poden sortir del port. Aquest volum introdueix la tensió entre la recent esposa de l'emperador i la família del fill de l'emperador, alhora que comença a fer més propera la relació de les dues noies👀
Tinc moltes ganes de veure per fi com aquestes mostres d'afecte es tornen aviat en romanç😭

El primer volumen me gustó más, pero este me ha gustado tamb. Me hubiera gustado un cambio más progresivo en la actitud de Chong pero bueno ha estado guay. Odio a los hombres.

No pensaba que esta historia iba a dar ese giro JAJAJAJAJJAJAJAJAJA al parecer es bastante slow burn pero la trama que hay además del romance es súper interesante, la verdad, todas las conspiraciones que se están creando me tienen bastante enganchada

La leyenda de Shim Chong continúa con un segundo volumen muy interesante. Por un lado, tenemos la trama de intrigas y complots palaciegos. Entretanto, por otro lado, tenemos la trama de la relación que está surgiendo entre las protagonistas. En los dos casos hay un mensaje que queda muy retratado: nada es lo que parece. La "Señora" es seguramente el personaje más misterioso y, por ello, mi favorita. A pesar de haber leído ya esta historia en webtoon, ¡me pueden las ganas de seguir leyendo el siguiente tomo!

Mmh :/ I'm not sure I'm buying into the easy manipulation and into the general amazing stealth skills of the beggar. I'm also disliking the "hints" of evil we keep getting about the new wife, like it's either going to be totally nothing in the end or love will changer her or something. TBD.
