I AM SQUEALINGGGGGGG!!!
I read this volume before going to bed last night, and it was seriously the best way to end the day!!! THE OVERWHELMING CUTENESS LEFT ME SO HAPPY!!
I have loved the series thus far, but the lovey-dovey vibes probably gave me cavities from how sweet these two were! I adored seeing them get to know each other, such as learning what the other favorite's things are, them taking the initiative to be involved as a couple (and not as an admin and "model"), and our sweet Sana realizing that at the end of the day, her super hot boyrfirned is just an ordinary high schooler just like her. <3
I know a few people mentioned that in the previous volume, they really didn't like how Kanato pretty much ghosted Sana after she confessed. I admit I was really bummed by his actions as well, but I think one thing I really enjoyed about this volume specifically is how they both realized "flaws" about themselves and were able to admit that to the other. I feel this volume is not only the start of them growing closer together as a romantic couple, but I would also say it's the start of them facing their real selves and how they unintentionally push their own ideas/truths onto the other person, and what they can do moving forward in regards to that.
It was deeply satisfying and leaves me very, very excited for what's to come because while this series might have started out "shallow" to some, I think the series is showing that it has a lot of heart too, and that we will see these characters grow and mature together!
I, for one, look forward to it, especially if we are going to get all the lovey-dovey vibes as we did in this volume! 🤭

4 stars. This is just so cute. The heroine is a bit loud and silly, while the hero is quiet and somewhat bland with a hidden personality. They somehow work together well.

Almost every time I review a romance that ends when the couple gets together, I complain about it. There’s so much you can do with an actual couple if you just work at it; we have tons of great examples in manga now.
Which is why it’s painful to ding this series for doing that and then losing a lot of its initial spark. I like Kanato and Sana a lot, but the flailing around as they figure themselves out this volume wasn’t quite working for me.
Oh, it makes sense that Sana is struggling to see herself as girlfriend material and also having issues not hiding behind the camera, but that doesn’t necessarily make things more interesting.
They have a very cozy relationship, honestly, with the requisite number of cute moments, but nothing here is especially compelling. The dating is fine. The flirting is fine. The unfairness of Kanato just driving Sana crazy, also fine.
But that’s all it is. Sana ends up being forced to downplay her role in the social media account for the school and mostly gets jealous and then just… gets over it. I mean, I’m glad it didn’t blow up, but it could use a bit more oomph.
It’s a series of perfectly fine cute moments, essentially. Sometimes that’s more than enough, but in this case it doesn’t quite make it to the upper echelons of my reading list, even though nothing is obliquely wrong with it.
Heck, even the kiss is super sweet. I don’t dislike this pairing, but if romance manga that really work can be said to have a special sauce, I don’t know that this one has it.

je sais que j'étais pas hyper emballée par l'histoire quand je me suis lancée dans ce manga, mais plus j'avance dans les volumes et plus je suis conquise. pitié ils sont trop mignon ??? j'ai pas arrêté de glousser en lisant ce tome, c'est trop. give me 10 more plz

Superficiale ma carino da seguire — 3 stelle
Ho appena terminato il quinto volume di “L’amore al tempo dei social” e, come per i precedenti, il mio giudizio rimane stabile sulle tre stelle.
La protagonista continua a sembrarmi acerba e piuttosto superficiale: è fissata con i bei ragazzi, con i social, le foto, e si percepisce chiaramente quanto tutto questo influenzi il suo modo di vivere l’amore.
Fa fatica a trasmettere maturità o profondità, e questo rende la storia poco incisiva sul piano emotivo.
I disegni, però, sono molto belli e riescono a catturare l’attenzione.
In questo volume, inoltre, inizia a emergere un lato diverso di Kanato, il senpai, che potrebbe aggiungere un po’ di spessore alla narrazione in futuro.
Continuerò a leggere la serie, perché tutto sommato è una lettura leggera che intrattiene e scorre bene. Non è nulla di speciale, ma resta piacevole da seguire.

Les il·lustracions són precioses, però ni la trama ni la personalitat dels protagonistes m'acaba de fer el pes. Té un ritme força addictiu, tot i que em desespera bona part del temps... llàstima perquè dubtava si fer-me la col·lecció, però no crec que valgui la pena :(

Quand on aime les shojo lycéen mignon tout plein et les premiers temps des relations avec maladresses et rougissements à gogo, ce tome est parfait !
Rien d'extravagant ou d'original, juste la fraîcheur des personnages et le côté adorable de leur relation. J'ai adoré le focus sur Sana dans ce tome. Elle découvre la vie de couple et ce que cela implique. Elle a besoin de temps pour s'ajuster, s'adapter et Kanato lui laisse cet espace, sans jamais la presser. Elle est très rigolote parce qu'elle rougit et panique vite. Sa nouvelle défense : prendre une photo dès que c'est trop pour elle. Et elle va en prendre des photos ici !
Au programme leur première sortie en yukata que vous pouvez admirer en couverture tant c'était beau ! Mais aussi la découverte de la jalousie et la possessivité, du besoin d'être avec l'autre, de le comprendre et d'apprendre à le connaître. C'est tendre, mignon et sensible. On aimerait peut-être parfois entendre la voix intérieure de Kanato aussi en contrepoint mais Sana mène bien la barque. Le tout est léger, frais et rigolo, un peu décalé car elle ne sait pas encore où placer son curseur et expérimente. Elle rougit pour un rien et Kanato, qui l'a bien compris, s'en amuse. Il aime ça. Il aime la voir réagir à lui.
Graphiquement, c'est aussi très joli, pas seulement parce que Kanato est un beau gosse, mais aussi parce que la fraîcheur de Sana est charmante en image. En plus, l'autrice aime autant la mode que son héros, alors elle nous gâte avec leurs tenues. Elle nous offre aussi tous les lieux des premières fois : festival, bibliothèque de l'école, plage, chambre de Kanato. Elle met cela en scène avec une fraîcheur rafraîchissante, des étoiles dans leurs yeux et le scintillement des premières fois. C'est dur de ne pas fondre.
Si comme moi, vous aimez les premiers temps maladroits des relations où on a envie d'expérimenter mais où ça nous met dans tous nos états, où on se découvre personnellement et mutuellement, les émois de Sana et Kanato, sous le trait sémillant de Karin Anzai, devraient vous ravir. C'est frais et mignon tout plein avec ce héros taquin et cette CM qui rougit au quart de tour !

Le tome 5 de Not just a pretty face est enfin la, oui je suis jamais dans l’abus avec ma patience moi. Ce tome était vraiment fun à lire, parce que Sana c’est vraiment l’héroïne fan de son mec qui sait pas gérer ses émotions devant lui, et c’est vraiment adorable.
On évolue vraiment enfin avec le début de leur couple officiel, qui n’est officiel que pour quelques personnes - c’est à dire eux même et Doigaki qui à l’aire un poil jaloux? -. Et même Kanato évolue et prend les devants en demandant à Doigaki - qu’on vois d’ailleurs trop peu à mon gout ? - et Yuzu - l’amie de Sana - de venir avec lui pour une séance photo officielle - sans tenir au courant Sana -. On est très loin du jeune homme qui refusait de côtoyer des gens.
Mais tout ça va donner une petite leçon de jalousie à Sana, qui va se rendre compte qu’elle aime autant le photographier que passer du temps avec lui.
Enfin ce tome était révélateur de certains aspect autre de la personnalité de Kanato, et j’attend maintenant impatiemment la suite - je suis irrécupérable -.

Wenn ich Shojo Romance lese, merke ich sehr, dass ich aus SEHR VIELEN Situation herausgewachsen bin. Sanas Verhalten empfinde ich in 98% der Fälle als sehr albern und übertrieben. Aber irgendwie kann ich auch nicht aufhören die Reihe zu lesen und nehme diese „Dinge" möglichst mit Humor.
Okay erwischt, vielleicht ist Kanato der Grund, warum ich einfach nicht aufhören möchte zu lesen. Aber solange es noch Spaß macht 😗🎶

June 19, 2023They so freaking adorable I want to scream, it couldn't top volume 4 for me personally but I enjoyed it more then the rest of the series I can't wait. for their story to continue. I'm so glad we finally got to learn more about Kanato🥹🫣
