If you are interested in being inspired by the life experience of someone who has demonstrated intense grit, overcome obstacles, suffered disappointments, and emerged as a complete and inspirational person, then Persevering Through Purpose is for you. Let’s be clear: Rob Robertson is not a highly polished motivational speaker along the lines of Tony Robbins or others like him. He is a businessman who decided to write a book. He is someone who has lifted himself up - with the support of his family and his faith - from difficult circumstances to become a fully self-aware man. He is clearly someone of high integrity and willing to recognize his own imperfections and poor decisions. I am so happy for him and his family, and appreciate the life’s lessons he has shared.

A couple things that I wish were different in the book: a few photos might have supplemented the dialogue and there were a few chapters that had some repetition in them. But these did not take away from the overall themes and stories that were told in what is a fast and interesting read.

Full disclosure: I have met and interacted with Rob and can assure you that he is the real deal. I am glad that he is passing his values and wisdom on to his children, his community, and now everyone else.

Well done.

Mr. Robertson's debut book is an authentic revelation into his life from maturation to adulthood. He opened the doors to his past and allowed himself to be vulnerable as he told of his trials, struggles and challenges that ultimately molded him into the successful leader he is today. The memory recall Mr. Robertson has for individual's names, locations, and specific events in his life is uncanny and brings validity to his story.

His admiration for his family (particularly his mother and grandmother) is quite evident throughout the book, but I most appreciate how the author is not hesitant to showcase his Christian convictions and beliefs by interjecting ocassional scriptures.

Truly an inspiring, yet enlightening book that is sure to motivate all readers. I highly recommend.
