Come and join me on my journey to the Edge Control Tour. It’s about to be a sold-out show!
If awkwardness, quirkiness, and dry humor are your speed, then congratulations you’ve come to the right show. My story isn’t bubbly, but it’s interesting, nonetheless. The route it took to get me here was full of twists and turns.
As a professional life coach, becoming a comedian didn’t seem logical. I dedicated my life to building up others while secretly laughing about it the minute I left the office. Comedy was more inherited than sought after for me, and I’m not being braggadocios, but it’s literally in my genes. So, it was only so long before I surrendered to the stage and did what I was created to do.
It would’ve been great if choosing the right career path was the biggest of my worries, but that wasn’t the case since I struggled even harder to navigate romantic relationships. Being the sheltered daughter of a celebrity made it difficult for me to make connections in so many ways and Ivan Jackson was all too familiar with my inability to settle down. Showing the patience of a preschool teacher as I constantly put him off, he made it clear how badly he wanted me. But as would any human being worth the sense God gave them, he was reaching his breaking point and handing me an ultimatum.
Grab your tickets and enjoy this comedic exhibition of depth, hilarity, secrets, and acceptance.

Now that is how you end a series! But is that really the end??
Olivia kind of played the background in the other ladies' stories, so I had no idea she was as funny as she was. Some of the things that came out of her mouth OMG! 😂 So, Olivia had a steady gig as a life coach, but boy did she stay in her head about everything. Especially her feelings about a situation that happened at church when she was a child, and her avoidance of her feelings for Ivan.
Ivan was such a patient and understanding man. Then to find out that he was a pastor, dealing with Olivia and her mouth?? 😤 The heart wants what it wants, and Ivan wanted Olivia, potty mouth and all. However, she was letting fear lead her, and where it led her was away from him. As much as he saw a future with her, how much longer could he wait for her to get it together.
Olivia could not see herself as a pastor's wife, as she was cussin' every other word, she spoke😂. That along with her staying away from church, due to the trauma she suffered. How was this going to work? I'm screaming, what happened ma'am? However, the idea of Ivan being with someone else lit the fire under her ass, and she handled her business. Loved GG and her candor. I see where Olivia got that mouth from!!
The back story about Olivia's father was reality tv ish, cause what??? 👀 Then to see how Allison played into it all was crazy! The other ladies had small cameos, and it was nice to hear from them. Especially Leslie's crazy ass! 😂 Enjoyed this one. 👍🏾👍🏾
As the final book in the saga closed the chapter for this group of friends, it was bitter sweet to get Olivia's story. I am not certain I realized that Olivia and Leslie were connected. Moreover, I enjoyed the ladies relationship and each story.
I enjoyed this close out to the LMAO book series. Olivia is hilarious and kept me laughing so hard I cried and snotted a little. It was an added bonus getting more from Leslie, Mina and Allison.
I loved the connection and chemistry between Olivia and Ivan. That man said he was tired of playing games with Olivia and told her it was time to stop or else. Olivia wasn't trying to lose out on her love because of fear so she gave in. I loved that Ivan bossed up on Olivia too when the time was right and that he also exercised much needed patience with her when necessary.
Ivan being a pastor was something I wasn't fully prepared for, but as he said he is just a man like any other. I find that when reading books where the MC is a pastor, I have to check my bias and preconceived notions about them because they are just mere men and are only delivering the word of God that he has given them (for those that are following His word) but if you grew up in the church or in a super religious family, you know that the pastor is looked at like a god at times and not seen as the man or woman they are with their own flaws and struggles. So while reading about a pastor as an MC may be a little uncomfortable in the beginning, I always end up enjoying the stories because when well written and because they show them as just human and not without flaw or struggle. I say all that to say, this author did really well in writing Ivan and I loved his character.
This was a great ending to this series and I would highly recommend it if you love romantic comedy with a bit of a slow burn between the main characters. I definitely wouldn't be mad if this author gave us an update on LMAO because these ladies are hilarious.
I’m glad that I finally got Olivia’s story. I didn’t expect her to make me laugh as much as she did. While she was very entertaining, Ivan stole the show. He was such a great leading man. I loved the way he patiently waited for her to let her guard down. His relationship with her family was sweet. I loved the way he cared about his students. Once they got together, their chemistry was great. I wasn’t expecting the connection between Allison and Olivia to come up. That was an interesting twist. The last two chapters were laugh out loud funny. I have really enjoyed this series. This was a great way to wrap it up.
I loved this just like the other three. I loved the plot twist and everything that went with that. It made it different than the other three. SBS always has me rolling laughing and this one was no different. She’s naturally funny and her characters do it with such ease. These characters never missed. Ivan was the one with his quiet confidence. I didn’t think he had it in him but when he did, he DID and I loved that for Liv. I can’t wait to read the next book or series.
Hmmmm 🤔💭, this might be the end of the LMAO series & comedy tour, but this can’t be the abrupt ending to Olivia & Ivan story😏 ⁉️ Foremost, Allison & Olivia being sisters was plausible. But some of Tyce’s background story made no sense…and I have more questions than answers. …Nevertheless, did I enjoy the series? absolutely‼️…these ladies were hilarious both individually & collectively. However, “Olivia (LMAO - Book 4)” her storyline felt either incomplete, ambiguous & or contradictory. …and murky🤷🏾♀️‼️
Olivia’s story might be my favorite. I was most curious about her and where the idea for the tour came from. The chemistry between she and Ivan was clear from the beginning. Ivan had to lay down the law with Liv because she was definitely a stubborn one. Yet, when it was done they soared. The connection between she and Allison was a surprise, but nice. I lowkey still want justice for Allison though.
This is my first book for 2025. I missed a whole football game trying to finish. This story was a great ending to the series. I loved all of the characters, however, Olivia was my favorite. I loved everything about her.
It takes an amazing writer to be able to write humor. Sabrina Scales did it beautifully. I needed every laugh, and for that I am grateful. Another book would be just great with the same characters. Until then, Bravo!
I love an SBS series, and LMAO did not disappoint!! Olivia's brainchild, the Edge Control Tour, was used to uplift/honor the talents and experiences of four black female comedians. Yasssss!! For me, that's an amazing concept for a series!! This was a quick read. We finally get to know some of Olivia's backstory and what makes her tick. I definitely recommend this book, as well as this series.
What a great book 4. The entire premise for the series was fantastic, and the book was absolutely hilarious - I enjoyed all of the ladies, so this was right on par for the series. I did want an engagement at the end, though :-(. Olivia and Ivan were good for each other. Maybe we can get an update on the couples in a follow-up novella.
Scales jokes, bible verses and definition of family within each of the women stories will have you valuing all you have.
Trauma can stagnate your growth of maintaining relationships or losing control of yourself and time when we allow fear to overtake instead of walking into life with the courage God created for you.
LMAO series has been so much fun to read. And just when I thought I was about to ask for this last book, I see it. This is a love Romantic comedy done Sabrina style. I recommend this series. Get ready to love and laugh
The LMAO series was laugh out loud, funny. Each woman’s unique personality and story was a pleasure to read and witness. Amazing writing and storytelling by Ms. Scales.
Olivia and Ivan finally decided to let love win. Secrets were exposed, family found out the truth about Dad. I liked this story, but whaat happen to the main characters? Did they get married or what.
I loved all the ladies of this series!! Alison's story was my favorite 😍 This author brought the drama with comedic flares and it was chefs kiss! 👩🍳 💋
Sabrina B. Scales masterfully delivers a story that’s equal parts heartfelt and hilarious, wrapped in the unique warmth and humor that defines the LMAO series. Olivia and Ivan’s story is a touching reminder that healing and love are possible—even when the road to both is long and winding. A triumphant finale for a truly unforgettable series!
