This latest offering from the Institute of HeartMath shows readers how to use the revolutionary HeartMath(r) tools like the Freeze-Framer(r) and the Heart Lock-In(r) to overcome feelings of sadness and depression associated with stress and the sense of being overwhelmed by the chaotic world in which we live.
Great book, very similar to Transforming Anxiety essentially the same material. Very helpful I didn't mind reading three similar books from them (I also read HeartMath soluation) because they were so good. Very helpful to me when I needed it. Great that it actually has exercises you can do. Very simple exercises but kind of hard but very worthwhile. Highly recommended for those needing help.
While I don't struggle with depression, I am married to someone who does...and have children that may. Great info so far.
Finished the book yesterday- The HeartMath Institute has compiled some very good, user friendly procedures to accelerate emotional healing, "Heart Coherence", in many different areas, not just depression, although that is the focus of this volume. The approach has scientific backing, and I'm sure the methods will become more widely used, because they are effective...and true. Most of the techniques could be considered guided "pondering" and "meditation", with the heart as the focus. When a self-help technique is focused on love, forgiving, humility, and listening to the "still small voice" in which the heart speaks...it has some pretty solid footing. I gained some great perspective and added to my healing technique tool-belt. 169 pages, not long, writing seems a little repetitive at times, but lots of homework and techniques to learn and try. Includes an inspiring forward by Dr. Frank Lawlis Ph.D., who taught Dr. Phil and is featured frequently on his show.
Another superstar book in the Heart Math series. This one is more subjective as it tries to teach the importance of love as a primary value of the heart, a key ingredient to transforming depression. It teaches how to cultivate love in a step-by-step way.
