Christmas has come to Jacob's Fork, West Virginia.
The town is aglow with lights and decorations, and people are smiling and singing carols all over the small town. With the snow falling, it looks and feels like Christmas.
One small problem...
The town has its very own Ghost of Christmas Past. For over a hundred years, there is a strip of road that has been haunted by a Lady in White, the ghost of a woman who suffered an unimaginable betrayal.
Ella's first meeting with her ends in a serious car accident. She soon learns the ghost only appears during the last two weeks of December. After having nearly died, she's determined to get the ghost to move on by any means necessary, even if that means a blessed blade.
When her best friend is almost the next victim, she knows time is running out. The longer she waits, the more people who could potentially die.
So, together with Eli and an unexpected guest, she sets out in the middle of a snowstorm to reap the Lady in White. But will she succeed, or will she fall prey to the ghost as so many others have in the past?
She survived once, but can she pull off a Christmas miracle and live to tell the tale?
So who am I? Well, I'm the crazy girl with an imagination that never shuts up. I LOVE scary movies. My friends laugh at me when I scare myself watching them and tell me to stop watching them, but who doesn't love to get scared? I grew up in a small town nestled in the southern mountains of West Virginia where I spent days roaming around in the woods, climbing trees, and causing general mayhem. Nights I would stay up reading Nancy Drew by flashlight under the covers until my parents yelled at me to go to sleep.
Growing up in a small town, I learned a lot of values and morals, I also learned parents have spies everywhere and there's always someone to tell your mama on you. So when you get grounded, what is there left to do? Read! My Aunt Jo gave me my first real romance novel. It was a romance titled "Lord Margrave's Deception." I remember it fondly. But I also learned I had a deep and abiding love of mysteries and anything paranormal. As I grew up, I started to write just that and would entertain my friends with stories featuring them as main characters.
Now, I live Huntersville, NC where I entertain my family and watch the cats get teased by the birds and laugh myself silly when they swoop down and then dive back up just out of reach. The cats start yelling something fierce...lol.
I love books, I love writing books, and I love entertaining people with my silly stories.
Anything Mattie/Emma crane and the reaper chronicles I eat them up! Can't get enough! Only complaint is the books seem go by 2 fast for me 😜 love this one. I can't wait to hopefully one day read about Cecily and her mate! And of course for Eli and Ella Grace to be together! It's got to happen one day rite guys? There meant to be together. Love you Apryl baker plz keep being you and doing what you do! We fans appreciate it so much.
This was another great book by Apryl! I enjoyed Christmas in Jacob's Fork with everyone again. I am hoping we see more about Cecily and her mate in future books. I think Apryl will build more on Ella's abilities as a reaper in the future also. I think this book was short and sweet with just a little taste of more to come with this group of supernaturals. Lady in White is an oldy but a good one and it had some relevance to our group in this series.
This book was yes another example of a talented author, just downloaded book 8 of this series I'm absolutely hooked, so if you want a gripping story to sink your mind into this author is for you
The level of mystery in this book was intense. There were so many twisted and turns in this novella, I was truly amazed.
I have genuinely enjoyed how Ella has grown throughout this series. Not only in her ability but also in her maturity. She definitely seems to have learned to reach out to those who can help her when she's not completely sure what she's doing.
I absolutely Love the Reaper Chronicles and the magical stories Apryl Baker weaves!
