This was a quick and spicy read, and I enjoyed it! The story centers around Addi, who decides to auction herself off to cover her mom's hospital bills. But there’s more to it—she's also looking to get revenge on Warren, her dad’s former best friend. Addi believes he’s the reason her family fell apart, and she’s pretty sure he’s the one who will bid for her.

Warren can’t shake the memory of Addi after that one encounter they had. He’s obsessed with her and would do anything to make her his, but he also feels conflicted because she’s the daughter of his old friend. He tries to keep his distance but secretly looks out for her, wanting to protect her from the truth about her father.

Addi is such a strong, fierce character! I loved her determination and how she constantly challenges Warren. The tension and chemistry between them are undeniable. Even though they keep insisting that they hate each other, it’s clear there’s a fine line between hate and love! Overall, if you’re in the mood for something fun, spicy, and addicting, this book is perfect! I’m also really curious about the side characters and can’t wait to read the next book!

addi was always crushing on her dad’s best friend but he never noticed her until she made herself known. since then he couldn’t take his eyes off of her. warren and addi snuck around and they only had one time together. until warren ruined her father’s company which evidently drove him to his death 💔 years later addi is back and she’s out for revenge. she knew the only way to get warren’s attention was to sell herself off to the monthly auction and its highest bidder. warren never made a purchase but once he saw addi, man’s literally shut the show down and took her all for himself. the contract was simple. one month, a couple million dollars, and she was all his 🥰

addi is such a fierce and teasing little thing omg 😵 my jaw actually dropped whenever she and warren interacted. she literally never backed down from getting what she came for. she was determined to find out the truth about why warren destroyed her family’s life. but warren wanting to keep her from finding out so she doesn’t get hurt with what her father truly did, he still can’t help but fall for her 🥹 they kept going back and forth with each other and that only added more to their chemistry. what could’ve been and what actually had been was the line they were so close to crossing. addi needed more about her father and warren knew everything. he’s such a grumpy man and when it came to addi 🤭 he was even more possessive. man’s literally had her sign a contract that no other man would be able to touch her and vice versa LOL 💀 i love them

warren is so damn FINE it actually hurts that he’s not real 🥲 addi is so damn strong for resisting to let him kiss her. i simply would’ve folded the moment daddy king took me home from the auction. like genuinely. their moments together was EVERYTHING 😩 they’re so hot together and the way they both teased each other had me SWEATING AND PANTING 😮‍💨

i can’t wait for more about this series !! maxwell and piper already have me so invested 🤩 the way he ran up to that stage had me CACKLING LOL 😂 i fear this series will take over my mind until further notice

After reading Aimee Monroe’s Corrupt Intentions, the 35-page prequel that introduces readers to Warren and Addison, I knew I wanted to know more. Sweetest Revenge begins after a time lapse, but with Addison’s mission to get back at the man she believes is behind her father’s ruin, and the circumstances her mother is in. Addison’s plan involves putting herself up for a substantial amount of money that she knows Warren will follow through on. Being with her is only for a month, but it ends up being more than they both bargained for.

This age-gap romance is perfect for those who enjoy a steamy romance with some power dynamics. Surprisingly, there were moments when Addison had Warren beg her, and he happily complied, which I liked. There’s no shortage of “daddy” and “baby girl” talk. And Warren calls Addison a brat from time to time.

I enjoyed Sweetest Revenge. I recommend reading the prequel first before jumping in. It establishes the Warren and Addison relationship and how it originated, setting the reader up for a more enjoyable experience.

This book was so funny to me in the beginning because both the FMC, Addi, and the MMC, Warren, were trying to get revenge on each other and they both knew they were trying to get revenge on the other while fully knowing they both still had feelings from hooking up if you will one time previously before Addi's father and Warren's friend and business partner passed away.
I knew this book was going to be good from the first line of the book because it had my jaw on the floor. The auction was fun to read as well but once these two were alone, you could see exactly why they both would not be getting the revenge they wanted and why the careful plans they laid would not work. The chemistry was there immediately, the buttons to push pretty much had neon signs cause they were pushing each other's perfectly then the other person would storm away to regroup, a prefect enemies to lovers where you know its inevitable. Then come the punishments. Warren's punishments you ask? 6 back to back Os while at a party then telling you that you can take one more. THATS 7 IN A ROW. Theres a scene where they get up for 14, crazy, and then after that I'm supposed to believe they're still trying to get revenge on each other? I would be finding sneaky ways to get him to sign a marriage certificate but I mean yeah totally. I absolutely loved the story line in this, there was mystery, danger, and spice and it wasn't predictable. I love a predictable story don't get me wrong but this one had a part where they said what actually happened had me sitting up and talking outloud, no time to even look at the camera. I'm waiting now for the next book because there were two casual lines added in that when the first line came I thought, "cool setting up book two" the second line i happend, I said, "EXCUSE ME WE'RR JUST NOT GONNA TALK ABOUT WHAT YOU JUST SAID?!" So I'll definitely need to read that when it comes out cause after two lines and not a ton of back story its already messy, my favorite.

So first of all. I inhaled this book. When I got the reel on Instagram a month ago I wanted to read it so bad. 😩✋️

Now if you're not into taboo reads, and age gaps. This is just not for you. I absolutely loved this book. The story line was well written I liked the plot and the reasoning for revenge, the smut was 😩😩😩🔥🔥.

NOW WARREN. WARREN IS JUST 🧎🏻‍♀️🧎🏻‍♀️ Such an amazing written male character, the way he always still made sure she wanted it and took care of her eventhough she didn't know ❤️. Addi was super fun too and I enjoyed her rebbel hours.

Personally a good short read, not heavy on the plot and more for your enjoyment. ❤️❤️

In this fiery age gap revenge story, Addi is left no choice but to auction herself off to her enemy, Warren in order to pay off her mom’s medical bills. It’s Warren who once brought her family to ruin so their reunion is filled with unresolved tension and hate that translates very quickly to passion. But as they struggle to keep their feelings in check for the duration of her time with him, truths about the past come forward and Addi is left to decide where her loyalties lie.

Now before we start the review, I do want to mention that there is a short prequel novella out that gives more background context into Warren’s actions and their first encounter and sets the tone for the events of Sweetest Revenge so I do highly recommend to check that out first before diving into this one.

“From the moment she stepped foot into my life, there would be no one more perfect for me than her. No one I’d want more in life. No one more I’d want to protect. To hold. To show her the world.”

You know what I love? A girl who knows when to admit she’s wrong. Addi was a breath of fresh air and it was wonderful to read someone who isn’t afraid to put herself out there. She’s not letting the trauma of her past get to her, instead she moves forward and has an agency to her that made her likeable despite her bratty behaviour.

But her physical attraction to Warren betrays her at every turn and while I usually don’t like BBS (Body Betrayal Syndrome), this is the one book I’m willing to make an exception because their chemistry genuinely was on fire.

And then we have Warren. Because I read the prequel, I was already very much on Warren’s side when it came to why he did what he did but man, his charm and enigmatic personality was chefs kiss. I also liked that he was so giving, that despite not understanding his feelings for Addi, he was so willing to incorporate her into his life and give her the comfort that she needed. He has some pretty good lines that made me swoon and that mouth of his was used really well in other situations too…

“Just be mine. Say yes and I’ll treat you like the queen you are.”

Overall, the book was a true enemies to lovers, with a slowburn romance that once lit, caught fire pretty quickly. I’m looking forward to future Black Silk Auction releases, especially Maxwell and Piper’s which is coming next, and all the hot craziness that comes along with them.

Maxwell and Piper are up next, and if this series gets any hotter, I might combust.

Summary:

What she doesn’t expect is how her feelings for Warren seem to shift between hate and so. much. more.

…yeah so I devoured this. Age gap romance with built in second chance aspects, revenge plots and spice? Basically a recipe for a page turner in my humble opinion. 🤷‍♀️

This was truly a fun spicy time but it had a great plot to it as well! I loved all the emotional elements and the push and pull between the main characters. The FMC was bratty and enjoyable to read. The MMC was HOT especially when he was protecting the people he cares for. Overall, SUPER awesome book to indulge in for your spicy age gap fix that does have an underlying plot!!

While the premise was interesting, the editing left much to be desired. I have rarely had a book’s lack of editing frustrate me this much but there was not a single page in the 237 pages of this book that did not have a major mistake of some kind that completely pulled me out of the book. The premise that Addi is trying to get revenge on her dad’s best friend turned enemy that she slept with once was the start up fuel for a great romance book. Warren is literally twice her age, they slept together when she was 19 then he ruined her father and her father’s company. Dad killed himself, she and mom were broke, mom tried to kill herself after years of Addi working multiple jobs to pay all the bills and finishing college, Addi now has all the medical debt and bills to pay. Enter her revenge plan to sell herself to the highest bidder at Warren’s auction where billionaires pay for a month of time to fulfill all their sexual fantasies with women who need money. She knows Warren will bid and win her & she plans to bring him down. They of course fall in love throughout the month and Addi learns the truth of her dad & mom. Great start, truly, but the execution feels very first time author. That would be fine, I can get with that but then every single page had major editing problems. Sentences that didn’t make sense, incorrect words that ruined what was trying to be expressed in the sentence, and then just spelling & grammatical issues. I had to reread paragraphs to try to decipher what was trying to be expressed. Again, I liked the premise so I kept powering through but in the end all the editing issues kept me from enjoying the book.

If you read the prequel prior you will understand the history of these two and why they are both set out for revenge. These two had chemistry from The prequel so I knew once we got to the story there was going to be that tension and chemistry.

It is easy to understand each side but as you get more into the backstory you see not everything is as it seems. It is a quick read if you like revenge On both sides, age gap, forced proximity this is the story for you.

I am excited to see Maxwell’s story and learn more about that situation absolutley has me intrigued.

8 Spicy Scenes

This is one of those times that the best laid plans have better outcomes than you think 😅😂

Addison is out to get revenge on Warren for all the wrong doing that he did to her father that also led to her family losing all of their money. At the end of her rope Addison enters into an auction that she knows Warren won’t be able to resist her at. What she doesn’t know is Warren also wants revenge against her as well. The one thing they don’t expect- that they can’t get enough of each other after all these years🥵🥵🥵

This was my first romance where it has anything to do with an MMC being friend or having anything to do with the FMC’s parents. IS THIS WHAT I HAVE BEEN MISSING?!

Was I yelling at these characters for most of this book….Yes! But only because I was ready for them to get out of their own way and open their eyes to what was in front of them. When both of their stories did finally unfold I felt bad for both of them.

Now the spice…..now Aimee Monroe went hard with the spice here and it had me sweating and needing a water about as bad as Addi did 🤣🤣

Overall I had a wonderful time reading this book and can’t for book 2! Thank you Aimee and Good Girls PR for the ARC ❤️❤️

I’m a huge fan of age gap romances, and this one absolutely delivered. It’s a spicy, intense story featuring a dad’s best friend and billionaire trope with all the delicious tension you’d expect. The setup is wild: he buys her at a monthly auction (fully consensual and above-board) with plans for revenge, but things quickly spiral as the chemistry between them becomes undeniable. The enemies to lovers heat? Off the charts. I definitely recommend reading the prequel novella Corrupt Intentions first to get the full depth of Warren and Addison’s history; it really adds to the emotional tension. This book was steamy, entertaining, and completely addictive. I couldn’t get enough!

This was a quick spicy read that ended with a sweet relationship. As others said, it’s probably best to read the novella to get more background. I wish that the prologue could have included that background information and that little flashbacks to their relationship could have been included in the book. I think that would help people understand Warren and Addy’s relationship.

The lack of editing was the greatest barrier as to why I wasnt able to enjoy this book much. I mean look at the tropes. They are so over the top and so dm good but it's the editing. The story is very good in itself. Would have loved it more of it was edited properly. Now waiting for Maxwell's story hehe
