Rate this book
After a weird cult rampaged through their town stealing supplies, and trampling their home, Riley and their friends set out on a mission to pull off a heist that will balance the score. Jump back into Minecraft’s overworld with this action packed graphic novel!

Riley is an unassuming farmer living a comfortable life in a small hillside hamlet, with little desire for adventure. This all changes when the militant Province of Perfect Sameness storms into town and flattens their home, led by the identical twins, Paula and Prentice. The twin’s campaign to impose their vision of “perfect sameness” on the Overworld forces Riley and friends into action, sending them all on the adventure of a lifetime!

Riley employs the aid of friend Charlie, a brilliant builder with a tendency to ignore health and safety rules and overuse TNT which has earned him the reputation as town troublemaker — and Emily, a loner and former warrior for the Province of Perfect Sameness who is torn by guilt over her service with the Province. Together, they must venture to the Province’s fortress, cross swords with the twin’s legion of soldiers, and pull off their biggest (and only) heist ever to steal back all the materials taken from their Hamlet!

Dare to build your own way in this brand-new graphic novel set in the world of Minecraft! Join cartoonist Josh Hicks (Hotelitor, Glorious Wrestling Alliance) on this action-packed new Minecraft adventure.

This was OK, the art was fun, the MC was fun and I loved that he was able to talk to animals and was even teaching them new things, there were moments of action and chaos, fun buildings. But the other two characters just didn't click with me, and I wasn't a fan of the twins though I did warm up to them in the end, bit tired of the trope of evil advisor, a bit too explainy at times. And the biggest, I didn't like that some letters had to be bold, my adhd just focuses on that and it means a lot of rereading, which was annoying so can we please stop doing that stuff in books (or anywhere).
